Delight Ticket Buyers

A patron experience that’s also a growth strategy.

On The Stage streamlines every aspect of the patron experience, from initial discovery to final purchase.

THE PROBLEM

Outdated tech frustrates patrons and hurts sales.

Delivering a modern, friendly patron experience isn’t just an act of goodwill - it’s critical to your success and longevity. A checkout flow that’s hard to use, confirmation emails that come from a ticketing platform rather than from you, and lack of access to self-serve support all result in frustrated patrons and fewer sales.

01

Strain on Box Office Teams

Lost tickets, a forgotten confirmation, a question about a seat — when patrons have no way to help themselves, that volume lands on a team that's already stretched on show day.

02

Inconsistent Experiences

A website that has a different look and feel from the checkout flow, confirmation email, or physical ticket leads to confusion - and more calls to your box office.

03

Lower Retention

A patron who struggles to buy a ticket, can't find their confirmation, or never hears from you again after the show is a patron who is unlikely to come back.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Seamless experiences that keep audiences coming back.

On The Stage delivers mobile-first patron flows that look and feel like you - not us - at every step, creating a professional experience that feels designed rather than assembled. The result isn’t just better patron satisfaction: it’s fewer abandoned carts, less strain on box office teams, more sales, and higher retention rates.

  • Easy Checkouts

A fast, mobile-first path from discovery to confirmed purchase means fewer patrons give up partway through.

  • Patron Self-service

Patrons can easily find their tickets, manage their orders, redeem subscription tickets and membership benefits, and manage renewals on their own - without a password.

  • Consistent Experiences

Showcasing your brand consistently across websites, emails, self-serve resources, and the tickets in a patron’s wallet creates a seamless experience that keeps audiences coming back.

Reserved Seating

Reserve seats using any device.

Once a patron finds what they're looking for, OTS lets them easily choose their tickets and seats with a few clicks using any device.

  • Mobile-friendly Seat Selection

Browse and select seats from a visual seating chart, even when using a phone or tablet.

  • Buy for Multiple Events

Purchase tickets and reserve seats for multiple events or performances in a single transaction, rather than having to check out separately for each one.

  • Streamlined Subscriptions

Book the same seats for every performance in a subscription package in just three clicks.

Purchase Flow

Faster checkouts that increase sales.

Every step between “I want this ticket” and completing an order is an opportunity for a patron to change their mind, or get frustrated and abandon the purchase entirely. OTS is purpose-built to reduce the number of screens, clicks, and touch points it takes to complete a purchase, which leads to higher conversion rates and fewer abandoned carts.

Streamlined Purchase Flows

Complete a checkout in seconds, from any device, with a fraction of the number of steps (and clicks) required by other platforms.

One-click Payments

Use Apple Pay and Google Pay to complete transactions faster, without having to enter credit card details by hand.

Split Payment Purchases

Split large purchases, such as camp registrations or group sales, into multiple payments, or use buy-now-pay-later via Affirm.

Flexible Ticket Delivery

Automatically send mobile QR tickets, and give patrons the option to print tickets at home or pick up physical tickets at the box office.

Simple Promo Redemption

Apply a promo code, offer, or upgrade during the checkout flow, not as a separate step.

Digital Wallet Support

Add tickets and add-on redemptions straight to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet with one click, so everything is on a patron’s phone before they've even left the confirmation page.

Fee Transparency

Display the all-in pricing that includes taxes and fees throughout the checkout flow to avoid surprises.

No Accounts or Passwords

Patrons don’t need to create an account, remember a password, or login - simply enter an email address, and OTS does the rest.

Branded Confirmations

Automatically send order confirmations and updates that use your branding, not ours, for a professional patron experience that minimizes confusion.

Patron Portal

Self-serve order and account management.

After an order has been placed, OTS makes it possible for patrons to manage tickets and orders on their own via the Patron Portal, resulting in fewer calls to your box office - all without a password.

  • Redeem Tickets

Subscribers can redeem their own tickets for the exact events, dates, and seats they choose.

  • Manage Perks

Allow members to view and redeem perks, such as access to exclusive discounts or blocks of tickets.

FAQ

Common questions about the patron experience.

Do ticket buyers need to create an account to buy tickets?

No. Patrons buy tickets with just an email address — no account, no password, and no login. On The Stage automatically creates or updates the patron's record, so they can still find their tickets and manage their order afterward without calling the box office.

Can patrons buy tickets and choose seats on their phone?

Yes. On The Stage's checkout is mobile-first, so patrons can browse events, pick seats from a visual seating chart, and complete a purchase from any phone or tablet in just a few taps — including tickets to multiple events in a single order.

What payment methods can patrons use to buy tickets?

Patrons can pay with one click using Apple Pay or Google Pay, or with a credit or debit card. Larger purchases, like camp registrations or group sales, can be split into multiple payments or paid over time with buy now, pay later through Affirm.

Can On The Stage show ticket fees upfront?

Yes. On The Stage can display all-in pricing, including taxes and fees, throughout the checkout flow, so the price a patron sees is the price they pay.

Do patrons have to print their tickets?

No. Tickets are delivered as mobile QR codes and can be added to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet in one click, along with any add-on redemptions. Patrons who prefer paper can print at home or pick up physical tickets at the box office.

Can I sell tickets on my own website instead of a third-party ticketing site?

Yes. An embeddable ticketing widget lets patrons buy directly on your website, and the checkout, order confirmations, and event reminders all use your organization's branding — not On The Stage's.

Can subscribers and members manage their packages without calling the box office?

Yes. In the Patron Portal, subscribers redeem their own tickets for the events, dates, and seats they choose, members view and redeem their perks, and both can renew for next season on their own. Patrons log in with their email address and a magic link, so there's no password to forget.

How are patrons notified if an event is rescheduled or cancelled?

Automatically. On The Stage notifies every affected patron when a performance is rescheduled or cancelled, and sends a fresh confirmation whenever an order changes, such as a seat upgrade or added tickets.
