In this time of change, Teatro Nagual has endured to continue its legacy of mobile social justice theatrical experiences.
Our programs of theatrical education for underserved young people have intensified. In partnership, with Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE), City of Sacramento Office of Arts and Culture, as well as La Familia’s Youth Voice project, we have provided no-cost performing arts education.
In partnership with United Latinos, we have provided an artist’s eye and created theatrical messaging with our original “actos” to bring to the people of our region messages surrounding voter education, and environmental justice.
Most recently, as Director of “La Pastorela, 2020,” our partnership with The Latino Center of Art & Culture, shifted and created a tremendously successful on-line performance of a traditional Sacramento holiday favorite.
There is so much more to do!
COVID-19 impacted us and slowed us down. However, it did not stop us!
If you are compelled to do so, we ask you to include a donation to help us along. Though not tax-deductible, your donation will help us:
- Complete our journey into becoming a not for profit arts organization
- Continue our story-telling of “Letters From The Border”
- Prepare us for live performances once theatres re-open
- Pay talented actors for the work they do
Thank you for your generous support.
