The Mystery of Edwin Drood Cast

Alex Capsambelis is a senior, and his past productions include: A Midsummer Night’s Dream: Francis Flute, Chicago: Harry and Chorus, Mr. Burns: Sam and Orchestra, Little Shop of Horrors: Mr. Mushnik, Footloose at PSNK: Orchestra, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe: Peter, Once Upon a Mattress: Wizard, Chicago at PSNK: Orchestra, The Heart of Robin Hood: Makepeace and Music Director. He is part of the Concert Band, Jazz Band, Marching band, Math team and NHS. Alex also participated in WCMEA, AKV, PMEA District and PMEA Regional honors bands. Outside of school he plays piano, is a camp leader in Camp Invention Counselor, a private drum instructor , and loves composing music. His future plans are to pursue a Computer Science Degree with a minor in Music. He wants to thank the entire cast and crew, and my family and friends outside of drama. “But like. Not in a cheesy way. But a genuine way because they all have to tolerate me all the time.”

Charlie Confer is a junior and was in the dance troupe for Robin Hood, The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, Once Upon A Mattress, Little Shop of Horrors and Mr. Burns. She participates in the Student Government, Interact, Spanish Club, Reading Railroad, Drama Clun and is in the softball team. She would like to that her family and friends for attending to her busy schedule and for always supporting her.

Michael Fiorina is a senior this year, performing in his 8th show for BHS, also occasionally performing in the drama club's Charlie Brown Christmas Special. He has performed in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Chicago, Mr. Burns, Little Shop of Horrors, The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe, Once Upon a Mattress, Robin Hood, and finally The Mystery of Edwin Drood. He is also involved in NHS, Varsity Hockey, and FBLA. After graduating, Michael plans on attending college to pursue a career in aviation. His many years in the BHS drama club have given him the best memories of his time in high school, and hopes when he retires he can become an actor for the Hallmark Channel or Lifetime TV. Michael would like to thank all of his family, friends, and fans for the endless support and "break a leg" jokes.

Hannah Koziarski (Rosa Bud / Dierdre Peregrine) is a junior and this is her 5th production at BHS. She previously played the role of Will Scathlock in the Heart of Robin Hood, the Nightingale of Samarkand in Once Upon a Mattress, the Unicorn/Ensemble in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, the Old Asian Man/Ensemble in The Little Shop of Horror,and Gabriella in Penn State's production of High School Musical. She is an active member of the NHS, Student Government, Interact, Science Olympiad, Relay for Life, Spanish Club and on the Volleyball and Track & Field Team. During her free time, she enjoys singing, reading, drinking/spilling tea, and hanging out with friends. Hannah would like to thank her family for all their hard work, love and support; and for all her friends for their humor and open ears.

Nick Grabigel is a junior and a 3 year member of the Drama Club at BHS. Previous roles include: Gibson/Homer Mr. Burns, Audrey II (voice) Little Shop of Horrors, Professor/Aslan The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and Jester Once Upon A Mattress. Nick is a member of National Honor Society, Students for Christ, Spanish Club, Marching Band, Concert Band and Jazz Band. Nick is also the drummer/guitar player for the band, Big Blitz.  He hopes you enjoy the show tonight.

Nathan Lukac is a senior and this is his 4th show at BHS. He has played the roles of Little John in the Heart of Robin Hood, Sir Studley in Once Upon a Mattress, and the Dwarf in The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. Nathan is on the varisty hockey team. After school he plans on attending Carlow Univerisity to obtain a degree in Nursing. He would like to thanks his family for being so supportive, as well as Mike and Alex for getting him into the Drama Club.

Ashley Miller is in her 5th production at BHS. in previous shows she participated as Troy McClure in Mr. Burns and Plug in The Heart of Robin Hood. She has performed at Penn State New Ken as Ms. Darby in High School Musical Jr. and as Ms. Brill in Mary Poppins. She’d like to thank her family, friends, and the group chat for all the laughs and memories. Oof. Rip. Neck.

Cade Montgomery is a sophomore and this is his 4th production at BHS.  He was previously in The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe(extra), Once Upon A Mattress (Sir Michael), and The Heart of Robin Hood(Pierre). Cade is also a member of the BHS Sapphires through the BHS Marching Band and is a member of Student Government. He is excited to be in this musical and to continue to perform at BHS in the next few years!

Ashley Roberts is a senior and this is her 8th production at BHS.  She is very excited to play Edwin Drood in The Mystery of Edwin Drood.  Ashley has previously played Lucy in The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, Marion in the Heart of Robin Hood, and was Lady Larken in Once Upon A Mattress. She also contributed to the scenic art in this production.  She also participates in Marching Band and Concert Band as a percussionist, and enjoys drawing.  Ashley would like to thank everyone in the musical for a great season and all of the fun!

Kelci Sopko is a senior and is very excited for her third and final production at BHS. She has also played a priest in the Heart of Robin Hood and Lady Lucille in Once Upon a Mattress. She additionally participates in chorus, show choir, NHS, Student Government, Environmental Club FBLA, and French Club. Kelci enjoys singing and performing and has loved all of her time in drama club over the last two years. She plans to study anthropology next year in college to continue her passion in history. Kelci would also like to thank all of her friends and family for helping and supporting her as well as everyone else involved in drama for helping to create wonderful experiences and performances.

Michael Swanger is a freshman and was previously the Guy of Gisborne in The Heart of Robin Hood and thhe Beast in the Beauty and the Beast. He is on the baseball team and in the Drama Club. His apsirations are to be in Engineering; and he would like to thank his Mom and friends for always being there.

Gabrielle Tardivo (Dancer/Co-captain) is 17 years old and in her Junior year at Burrell High School. She has participated in Drama Club for 3 years, and has previously been a dancer in the last 5 productions. She is very excited to be performing in her 6th production, The Mystery of Edwin Drood. She has been dancing for more than 10 years and trains and competes as a soloist and in groups in all forms of dance, but especially enjoys contemporary and jazz styles. In addition to drama and her busy dance schedule, she is involved in the Interact Club and Relay For Life. She wishes to thank Mr. Connolly, Mallory, and Mrs. Albinini for all of their hard work, and her family for their unwavering support in her love of dance and for the arts.

Maddie Thompson is a senior and this is her 7th production at BHS. She has previous played Much Miller in The Heart of Robin Hood and Susan Pevensie in Narnia: LWW. She also participates in Cheerleading and Student Government, and likes to travel and eat Cold Stone Creamery ice cream. Her future plans are to travel to Greece this summer and attend Saint Vincent College in the fall. She would like to thank her family for always coming to her shows.

Jordan Wojtczak is a senior and this is his 3rd production at BHS. He was previously in the tech crew for Once Upon a Mattress, and I had a small role in the Heart of Robinhood. Other school activites include FBLA and working at Villa Balanca. After highschool he plans to attend Penn State and study Electrical Engineering.

Hunter Yockey is in the fifth grade at Stewart Elementary and this is his second production at BHS. He is very excited to play Deputy in Mystery of Edwin Drood.  He has previously played Jethro in the Heart of Robin Hood, which was his very first acting experience.  Hunter is a Boy Scout as well as a gymnast with his first competitive season now behind him.  He excels at school and enjoys swimming, biking, skating, reading, Xbox, and scary movies.  He wants to act in a movie and would like to thank Martin Connolly for this opportunity and his friends and family for supporting this new adventure.
