Anne Frank & Me Cast

Evelyn Bousbouras (Anne Frank / Mary Burns / David's Mom)
Evie has spent the past 10 years with Vanilla Box Productions and loves and appreciates everything the Segers have taught her. She is a sophomore at Holy Name High School where she is also a part of the school chorus and the drama club. Some of her favorite roles have been JoJo in Seussical, Nick in Godspell, and Amahl in Amahl and the Night Visitors, along with various other roles. Additional activities she enjoys is skiing with her family and writing and creating her own music.
David Foster (John Urkin / Jean Bernhardt)
David Foster is proud to make his debut with Vanilla Box Productions, and especially pleased to be working with such a talented and dedicated group. In the past, David has performed with Acme Theatre, Cannon Theatre, Ghost Light Players, Theatre at the Mount and Concord Players, among others. He also did Shakespeare with Tim Robbins, though he doesn't like to make a big fuss over it. David is forever grateful to his wife, Joan, for many things (of course), one of those things being her patient and accommodating support of his pursuit of acting. Gabrielle Greenman (Suzanne Lee / Suzanne Lebeau)
Gabby has been doing shows for most of her life. She has done 4 shows with Vanilla Box Productions and would like to say thank you to Joel and Christine for making the shows a welcoming and kind place where everyone can learn and be inspired. She would also like to thank her friends for always supporting her and lastly she wants to thank her aunt for taking care of her and giving her the opportunity to express herself and be the girl she is today.
Abigail Harris (Mimi Baker / Mimi Poulin)
Abby is so excited to be making her Vanilla Box Productions debut in Anne Frank and Me! She is an eighth grader at Chocksett Middle School and has been performing since she was eight years old. Some of her favorite past performances include Bye Bye Birdie (Sterling Community Theatre), Beauty and the Beast (The Hanover Theatre) Guys and Dolls JR (The Hanover Theatre), A Christmas Carol (The Hanover Theatre), Oliver! (River’s Edge Arts Alliance), Wait Until Dark (New Players Theatre Guild), and The Sound of Music (Sterling Community Theatre). She would like to thank her vocal and acting coaches for all of their guidance and her amazing family for being incredibly supportive and encouraging!
Serena Hughes (Eddie Valley / Edith Vallee)
Serena Hughes is very excited to be performing in her second show with Joel and Christine Seger as the role of Eddie in Anne Frank and Me. Serena is in her first semester at Quinsigamond Community College where she participates in theater club. She has enjoyed her roles in numerous shows such as On the Town, Oliver, and Walk Two Moons. She would like to dedicate this performance to her grandfather who ultimately inspired her love for the arts. She says thank you to the entire cast and directors for this amazing experience, and she is excited for many more to come.
Danielle Johnson (Nicole Burns / Nicole Bernhardt)
This is Danielle’s 5th year with Vanilla Box Productions. Her favorite roles have been Gertrude McFuzz in Seuss and Fiona in Shrek the musical. This is her first lead in a play and is excited to share the stage with an amazing cast. Danielle feels as if this show has challenged her to stretch her range of emotion to the max. She has a well rounded musical theatre background but has recently expanded her interests in straight plays. Danielle would like to thank Christine and Joel for the incredible opportunities and to her parents for their endless support.
Brendan McGee (Jack Polin/ Jacques Poulin)
Brendan is glad to be doing another production with Vanilla Box Productions. He has been doing theater for 9 years at this point. His favorite musical roles include George from Godspell,The Mayor of Whoville from Seussical and The Sergeant from Pirates of Penzance. He hopes to do more in the future and thanks his Mom and Dad for getting him into theater.
Rebecca Paldino (Chrissy Gullet / Christina Goulet)
Rebecca Paldino is a freshman at Holy Name High School and is very active in chorus and theatre. She has been in multiple productions there, such as Godspell, High School Musical, and most notably as Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. She has also been a part of the theatre program run by Vanilla Box Productions for 5 years now and she hopes to keep acting throughout her years out of school for a career. She hopes you enjoy the show!
Ethan Safer (David Berg / David Ginsberg)
Ethan is a freshman at Wachusett Regional High School. He is playing the role of David Berg/David Ginsberg in Anne Frank and Me. He has also appeared in Seussical, the Musical with Vanilla Box Productions. Additionally, he has participated in Shrek, the Musical and Curtains. Ethan is excited to be a part of this production and is looking forward to more and more theater opportunities.
Abigayle Simpson (Little Bit / Liz-Bette)
Abigayle Simpson is excited to be back on stage with Vanilla Box Productions starring as Little Bit. As a sixth grader at Auburn Middle School, she has appeared in theater productions throughout central Massachusetts since she was five years old. Her favorite roles include Jane in Mary Poppins, Rafiki in Lion King, JR and Mowgli in the Jungle Book. Later on this spring, she will be performing with Central MA Onstage’s production of Annie and Auburn Middle School’s production of Lion King, JR. When she is not on stage, Abigayle enjoys playing softball, basketball and traveling. Abigayle would like to thank the cast and crew for all of their help and support. She is also appreciative of her family and friends and her Mom for her chauffeuring abilities!
Cassandra Tortorici (Renee B. Zooms / Renee Bernhardt)
Cassie Tortorici has been performing in some capacity for the last 30 years. She has been in over two dozen plays and musicals. Some of her more notable roles were Reno Sweeney in "Anything Goes", Bananas Shaughnessy in "The House of Blue Leaves", Usherette in "Rocky Horror Show", and Joanne in "Godspell". She also has been running the comedic improv competition Federation of Belligerent Writers since 2014. In 2018, Cassie won the title of Miss Worcester Pinup. When she's not on stage, Cassie really enjoys producing and stage managing having worked on several independent shows and projects. She wants to thank her family for always supporting her wild performance endeavors and her friends for always showing up to cheer her on.
