Your support
In the early 1980’s, our Town Players of New Canaan theater group was seeking a permanent home. As luck would have it, there was an abandoned Powerhouse in Waveny Park just deteriorating with no future. So with backbreaking volunteer labor, and the support of the community, we rescued the beautiful stone building and transform it into a community theater for all to enjoy.
Now, during our “intermission”, we are planning the long awaited addition to our lobby (proposed back in 1985!) as well as adding two ADA compliant bathrooms for the safe-distancing and comfort of our patrons.
PLEASE help us finally complete the original Powerhouse Theater vision.
As an almost entirely volunteer-based non-profit (501c) organization, we have always counted on the generosity and support of our patrons and guests to keep the lights on, the building running, and the shows entertaining!
All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law, and in exchange you get our undying gratitude.
KEEP THEATER ALIVE!
