Do You Wanna Dance? Creative

Director
Emily E. Faulkner
As the founder, producer, and director of Sight, Sound and Scroll Productions it is Emily’s desire to provide unique theatrical opportunities for students. Emily’s performing career began when at the age of 4. Emily was an active member of her high school theatre program, Thespian troupe, college and community theatre, and recently independent films. When asked about her favorite show she said, “The next one”, implying that each and every show has unseen potential, challenges, and moments that can become favorites. She is exceptionally proud of her performance at the International Thespian Festival, the shows directed and produced for Sight, Sound and Scroll, and her involvement with the film Junkie. Emily spends her days teaching Theatre Arts, Speech, and English. Emily is humbled and grateful to have had the support of her family, close friends, cherished dogs, and the performers she has worked with over the years. They are what encourage and compel the dreams into realities.

Kathy has performed in community theatre at Arts Place in Portland, Indiana. She also did a cameo role in Bye, Bye Birdie and Ladies of the Mop. The most enjoyable part of theatre for Kathy is the camaraderie between cast, crew, and directors, and seeing the final product come together. Kathy has enjoyed the opportunity to work again with her daughter on a professional basis. Kathy is grateful for the opportunity to work with such talented students and can’t wait for the audience to enjoy the performances.

Alyssa Mason
Alyssa’s background stems from gymnastics and four years of competitive show choir in high school. She began gymnastics at age five and continued for ten years, competing eight of those years and coaching for an additional 13 years. Alyssa’s a singer and dancing came as a natural compliment. She was excited to use her skills to choregraph Sight, Sound and Scroll’s Guys and Dolls, which happens to be her favorite show. Alyssa would like to thank Ms. Walter and Ms. Faulkner for giving her opportunities to continue and share her love of dance.

Her favorite role is directing romantic comedies at Marion Civic Theatre. She has won several awards for directing, show design, and acting. Kathy is giddy with excitement about the new theatre being built in Gas City. She hopes to see more community involvement, more diverse opportunities, and more students learning about all aspects of the theatre both onstage and backstage. She enjoys watching students discover talents they did not realize they had -- from singing to storytelling to conveying their character’s stories and emotions. Kathy wants to thank the Mississinewa Administration, Ms. Emily Faulkner, and Ms. Kathy Walters for their support of the theatre and musical arts at Mississinewa Community Schools. Together, they have launched so many dreams that led to careers and pastimes that will last a lifetime.

He has helped with many musicals while also working as the Industrial Technology teacher for the high school since the fall of 2014. Larry also coaches football and track for Mississinewa High School. He is happy to be a part of something that generates interest and excitement for the students.
