Do You Wanna Dance? Cast

Camille Arbogast (Mrs. Lester)
Camille is a sophomore at MHS and is in the Adult Ensemble playing the role of Mrs. Lester. Camille currently receives voice lessons at Taylor University. Her first involvement in Sight, Sound and Scroll Productions was in 5th grade in the show Once on This Island and has been a part of the program all throughout high school. She is looking forward to the feeling you get after nailing a dance that you’ve worked on for weeks. She said, “The satisfaction you feel as you hold the final pose, makes the countless hours of sweat and tears worth it.”
Trinity Bell (Mrs. Ogilvie)
Trinity is 17 years old and a senior at Mississinewa High School. This is her first year being a part of Sight, Sound and Scroll Productions. She is playing the role of Mrs. Ogilvie. Trinity is a member of National Art Honor Society, involved in student council, Spanish club, and throws in track. She loves to do all kinds of art, and avidly reads. Trinity wants to thank her friends and family; especially her mom who supports her with every decision and helps her accomplish her dreams.
Brooklyn Bos (Reverend Caresalot)
Brooklynn is portraying the role of Reverend Caresalot. She is 16 and currently a junior at Mississinewa. Brooklynn has been a part of the Sight, Sound and Scroll Productions since freshman year. Her first show was The Little Mermaid and then last year she was a part of The Wedding Singer. She wants the audience to forget everything that is happening in their lives and have a great night of laughter and comedy. Brooklynn would like to thank her parents for making their schedules flexible to allow her the opportunity to partake in the musical. She would also like to thank Ms. Walters and Ms. Faulkner as well, for putting together the whole show and giving their time to something so big.
Micah Crisp (Chad Lightfoot)
Micah Crisp plays the role of Chad in Do You Wanna Dance. He is 17 and a junior at Mississinewa High School. Micah has participated in both the plays and musicals freshman to junior year and plans to continue his senior year. He found his way to performing because the seniors in choir peer pressured him to be in the fall play his freshman year (cough cough, Logan, Andrew, and Emma). Despite that Micah would like to thank all of the older folks who took him under their wing when he was still learning how to act.
Ziare Ficklin (Brandon)
Ziare Ficklin is playing Brandon. He is a 14 year old freshman at Mississinewa High School. Ziare is fairly new to the performing arts game, with this being his first show. He began expanding his performing chops by taking a drama class in middle school, and he’s been in choir for three years. He is excited for his first show, and is grateful for the quality time he’s been able to spend with friends. Ziare plays football, throws shot put, sings in the worship band for his youth group and is active in Campus Life. He hopes to participate in future plays and musicals and his favorite part of theatre is pretending to have a different personality. Ziare would like to thank his friends Alex and Madison for convincing him to join the theatre.
Madalyn Franks (Jenny)
Madalyn Franks is 13 years old and in 8th grade at R.J.Baskett Middle School. Madalyn has previous theatre experience from being a part of Willy Wonka at Marion Civic. She is currently a part of band, choir, and is with the Company at Playhouse Studio of Dance. Madalyn loves being a part of the theatre program and is thankful for the feelings of acceptance and belonging. Madalyn would want to give thanks to Mrs. Neal for originally igniting her interest in the performing arts and helping to embrace her love of music.
Ella Frantz (Emma)
Ella’s role in Do You Wanna Dance is Emma, Delaney Duzwell’s Best Friend!! Ella is 16 and in 11th grade. She is a dance captain and choreographed several numbers. She started dance when she was 3 years old and has a total of 14 years of dance experience from varying genres like, tap, ballet, hip hop and contemporary. Ella has been a part of Sight, Sound and Scroll Productions since her freshman year starring as Ariel in The Little Mermaid. She also was a part of The Wedding Singer cast and a dance captain as well. Ella would like to give thanks to Ms. Walters for always making time to ensure that her students feel confident in what they are singing and performing. Ella would also like to thank Jacey Martin because without her these past two years, musicals would have not been the same. “ We needed someone who was passionate about dancing and music to help lead our cast in learning so many dance numbers and Jacey was the perfect fit! She’s incredibly talented!”
Kiera Frantz (Young Mona)
Kiera is making her Sight, Sound and Scroll Productions debut as Young Mona in Do You Wanna Dance? She is an 8th grader at R. J. Baskett Middle School. Kiera has appeared previously in The Miracle Worker at Marion Civic and enjoyed being Martha and the voice of Ben. Kiera is excited to step out of her comfort zone and begin her tenure with Sight, Sound and Scroll Productions. Kiera’s favorite part of theatre is creating a new role and being dramatic. She would like to thank Grace, one of her castmates from a previous show, and her older sister Ella for introducing her to theatre.
Madison Fuqua (Delaney Duzwell)
Madison is a sophomore and plays the role of Delaney Duzwell. This has been Maddy’s third year being involved with Sight, Sound and Scroll Productions. She has been involved not only in productions at school but also with Marion Civic and Taylor University. Madison is very excited for this upbeat show to take people's minds away from the crazy world we’re living in and let loose for a while. She is also very excited for the dance “Bust a Move”. Madison would like to give thanks to the cast and crew, her family and friends, and most importantly Jesus Christ for giving her the ability to be able to do what she does today.
Tyler Henzel (Police Oficer Carlisle)
Tyler Henzel, senior at Mississinewa High School, fills the role of Police Officer Carlisle. Tyler’s first performance with Sight, Sound and Scroll Productions was this year's fall play. Tyler is excited to take part in his first musical. He hopes people can walk away from this show with a little bit of joy. Finally, he would like to thank everyone involved with the show for the chance to perform.
Alicia Hunt (Tanya Simpson)
Alicia is a junior and will be playing Tanya, a part in the teen ensemble, for the production Do You Want To Dance? Alicia plays tennis, shops till she drops, and has a job in retail. Alicia finds the most enjoyable part of theatre is the feeling of the last show where you give it everything you’ve got in order to go out with a bang. The energy and the support you get during each show is so much fun and amazing. Alicia says she is thankful for Ms. Faulkner and Ms. Walters who continually helps her strive to be the best actor, singer, and overall person she can be. She also wants to thank her family and friends for the support and love they have given her every step of the way.
Virginia Kellogg (Principal (Ms.) Wizzle)
Virginia is 16 years old and is pleased to say that she is graduating early with the class of 2021. For Do You Wanna Dance? Virginia will be playing Principal Weasel… oops Wizzle. Virginia believes the most enjoyable part of theatre is the live aspect and how if something goes wrong, you have to think on your feet and improv. While it’s incredibly stressful, it’s also really fun to see everyone try to maintain their composure so the audience has no idea. Her favorite activity is practicing her art. She hopes to one day have a career with Disney. First, she wants to thank the cast for being such incredible people to be around; they’re so much fun. Second, thanks to her family for not getting mad when she comes back home late and needs to eat dinner after rehearsal. Finally, thank you to the creator of Coke Slushies for giving her the energy to dance for many hours in a row (and for being generally delicious).
Lilly Ludlow (Mona Lightfoot)
Lilly is 17 years old and a junior at Mississinewa High School. Lilly plays the antagonist, Mona Lightfoot, in Do You Want To Dance? She is excited to have her first featured role in a musical and also cannot wait to show her family and friends what she and the cast have been working on! One of Lilly’s favorite memories from the shows was when she played Tiffany in The Wedding Singer. On show night, she and John Oliver were at a table, and Ridley Timmons (a waiter) dropped the fake champagne that was supposed to go to their table. Lilly wants to thank her parents, Jacob and Michelle Ludlow, for always supporting her in everything that she does. Without them, she would not be the person she is today.
Jacey Martin (Susan Mansford)
Jacey, junior at MHS, plays the role of Susan Mansford in Do You Wanna Dance? She is a dance captain and choreographed several numbers as well. She has danced since she was two years at Jamie Bragg’s Signature Dance Studio and became part of their competition team four years ago. Jacey finds enjoyment in the friendships that are formed and all of the laughs that are shared together. One of Jacey’s favorite theatre memories is when Ms. Faulkner will make a reference to a movie or tv show and no one has ever seen it. Jacey wants to give thanks to all of the people who made this production possible. She wants to thank Ms. Faulkner and Ms. Walters for all they do for this production to be possible. Jacey also wants to thank all of her fellow cast members for making this experience unforgettable and for all the memories.
Valerie Neal (Daphne Duzwell)
Senior Valerie Neal, portrays the role of Daphne Duzwell in the production Do You Want To Dance? Valerie has been a part of Sight, Sound, and Scroll Productions since her sophomore year, playing roles such as Julia Sullivan in The Wedding Singer and Allana in The Little Mermaid. Valerie said she originally joined because her older sister wanted her to be in a production with her and she has been a part of the program ever since. Valerie would also like to thank her for introducing her to the joy of theater.
Shelly Neal (Mona's Mother)
Shelly plays Mona’s Mother in Do You Wanna Dance?. Shelly received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education degree from Taylor University and a Master of Arts in Education from Ball State University. She has acted in various venues including Blackford High School, Taylor University, and Blackford Community Theatre. Shelly is proud to have served as President of Blackford County International Thespian Society from 1988-1990. Shelly’s favorite roles include Glinda in The Wizard of Oz, Ado Annie in Oklahoma, Sister Anderson in Whose Life is it Anyway?, and M’Lynn in Steel Magnolias. Shelly has previously been involved with Sight, Sound and Scroll Productions in prop production and makeup. She is grateful for the opportunity to act along with her daughter Valerie in her last high school production. She would like to thank her husband, Jim, for always supporting her wild ideas, and her parents, Ron and Dorothy, for all the rides to high school theatre rehearsals.
Dayton North (Mr. Lester)
Dayton is a freshman and will be playing the role of Mr. Lester, a member of the adult ensemble. This will be Dayton’s first show. He is excited for the show and says, “It just feels nice to be included.” Outside of school Dayton does Judo and helps support his youth group. In the future, Dayton is excited to audition and possibly receive a lead role. He would like to thank Jacey Martin and everyone who helped instruct him, but also made it fun at the same time.
Josh O'Connell (Mayor Pete Lightfoot)
Josh is a senior at Mississinewa High and will be portraying the role of Mayor Pete Lightfoot. Josh has been in this fantastic group for the last three years and does not want to leave; he knows he has amazing actors and actresses that will take his place. He would like to give thanks to his family for pushing him to do the musical; as well as the cast for the love he has received throughout his years in theatre. He would like to tell the cast “I will miss you and I love you all from the bottom of my heart.” Josh would also like to say to Ms. Faulkner and Ms. Walters. “ I can’t thank you enough for how much you have both impacted my life. There were times where I would want to give up, but one or both of you would be there to give me a pep-talk and tell me to keep going. I love you both so much and I am excited to come back and see more of the productions you both put on together because they are always amazing.”
John Oliver (Christian)
John is 17 years old and currently a junior. He is looking forward to a great performance with all of the cast and crew. John is grateful for Ms. Faulkner and Mrs. Walters and for all of the time that they put into this production. John’s favorite theatre memory was the chaotic yet exciting weeks leading up to the performance of The Wedding Singer, especially hanging out and laughing with Lilly, Maiya, Jalen, and Ridley. Finally he would like to give thanks to his mother, and all of his fellow cast members, and to the audience for coming to see the show!
Abigail Robinson (Noelle)
Abigail is a part of the teen ensemble for Do You Wanna Dance? Abigail is a junior and this will be her second production with Sight, Sound and Scroll Productions. Abigail is so grateful to be getting the opportunity to put on an amazing performance with so many talented people. Abigail hopes the audience can come away from the performance feeling refreshed and having enjoyed a fairly normal evening amongst the current chaos and uncertainty. Abigail would like to thank Ms. Faulkner and Ms. Walters for allowing her to have the opportunity to be a part of the show and for helping the cast put all the pieces together to create an amazing performance.
Jalen Soultz (Don Duzwell)
Jalen is a senior at MHS and will be playing the role of Don Duzwell. Jalen said he is looking forward to 1a.m. March 7th, when he can retire the dancing shoes and go home. He found his way to performing through his bus driver sophomore year and has been a part of the program ever since. Jalen’s favorite memory was The IHOP altercation that occurred at last year’s musical cast party (that DID NOT involve any cast or crew members). He would like to give thanks to his dad and mom, and give a shout out to Drake, “ Because I strive for that net worth.” Lastly, thanks to the universe for smiling on me more than frowning when I was tempting fate.
Kortney Summer (Taylor Simpson)
Kortney, a senior at MHS, will be playing the role of Taylor in Do You Wanna Dance? This will be her first performance with Sight, Sound and Scroll Productions. She says she is excited for her family and friends to see the work she put into the show. Kortney really has enjoyed the singing and dancing, and it has been a great first experience for her! Kortney hopes the audience can take away that it doesn’t matter what others think about you.
Trevor Summer (Lucas)
Trevor is a part of the junior class and will be playing the role of Lucas. Trevor found his way into Ms. Faulkner’s theatre class and has been a part of the program since his sophomore year. He hopes to continue being in theatre through his senior year and to go to college for film or theatre. Trevor hopes that he inspires younger kids to step out and join theatre also. Trevor’s most enjoyable part of theatre is seeing the audience have a good laugh during performances and leave with a smile. He would like to give a thanks to his friends and family for being supportive about his decision to join Sight, Sound and Scroll. He would like to give a very special thank you to Ms. Faulkner for persuading him to join the theatre. He really appreciates how much she has done for him these past couple of years in theatre and in life in general.
Ridley Timmons (Mr. Simpson)
Ridley is in the Junior class and plays Mr. Simpson, one of the town folks. Ridley said he’s looking forward to making new friends during the show and improving his social and acting skills. He is always excited to put on a show with his friends. Ridley is very talented in visual arts such as drawing, painting, ceramics, animation, and much more. He also has a couple of unusual interests like bone collecting, bug pinning, rock collecting, and he also plays a lot of video games. Ridley’s favorite theatre memory was the drive to the cast party at IHop at 1 in the morning. He says that will be a moment he will never forget and his friends made that night magical. He would like to give thanks to Ms. Faulkner and Ms. Walters for putting so much hard work in to make these shows possible. If it wasn't for them, these shows wouldn't be successful. “Thank you for making my high school years memorable.”
Anna Toevs (Ashley Mansford)
Anna is a senior and a part of the teen ensemble for the production Do You Wanna Dance? Anna has been a part of Sight, Scroll and Scroll Productions during her senior year. She is excited to perform tonight and is excited for all of the inside jokes and fun times with the cast. Anna wants people to know that they can and should stand up for what’s right. Finally Anna would like to give thanks to her friends and family, as well as the amazing and legendary Ms. Walters and Ms. Faulkner for helping her improve on her acting skills.
Wyatt Wakeman (Bob Mansford)
Wyatt is a junior at Mississinewa and will be playing the role of Bob Mansford. Wyatt has participated in Sight, Sound and Scroll Productions since 2019 and is grateful to perform with his best friends. Wyatt wants the audience to know that Do You Want To Dance? is all about the freedom of expression, the sudden disappearance of that freedom, and the people affected by it. Wyatt would like to give thanks to Logan Donald, Mattie Garlati, and Maya Garcia for being his “theatre parents” and always pushing him forward during the times when he had doubts or was frustrated with things, whether it was theatre or school.
Kamryn Wortinger (Mrs. Simpson)
Kamryn plays Mrs. Simpson in Do You Wanna Dance? She is a 15-year-old freshman at Mississinewa High School. This is Kamryn’s first year being a part of Sight, Sound, and Scroll and her first production was this fall’s 30 Reason Not To Be In A Play. Kamryn has an interest in film and attends CSA to study Film and Production. Kamryn loves the friends and connections she’s made while doing something she loves. She is looking forward to “Boogie Wonderland” and “Bust A Move” because they are fun numbers. Kamryn has loved musical theatre since she was in the fifth grade and saw ‘Newsies.’ She’s been trying to be in a musical since that time and this year she is finally able to fulfill that dream! Kamryn would like to give thanks to her family and her Nana for supporting her throughout her performances.
