About The Spongebob Musical

Stakes are higher than ever before as Spongebob and all of Bikini Bottom face the total annihilation of their undersea world! Chaos erupts. Lives hang in the balance.... And just when all hope seems lost, a most unexpected hero rises up and takes center stage. Come join Richland Northeast High School's PCA Theatre department and other Theatre students as we have the Best Day Ever!

This is a one of a kind musical with original songs written by Yolanda Adams, Stevens Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Sara Bareilles, Jonathan Coulton, Alex Ebert of Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, The Flaming Lips, Lady Antebellum, Cyndi Lauper, John Legend, Panic! At the Disco, Plain White T's, They Might Be Giants, T. I., and songs by David Bowie, Tom Kenny & Andy Paley, with additional lyrics by Jonathan Coulton and additional music by Tom Kitt.


Richland Northeast High School PCA

Palmetto Center for the Arts, District Two's High School Visual and Performing Arts Magnet, is nationally recognized, receiving the John F. Kennedy Center Creative Ticket Award for outstanding achievement in arts education. The program includes dance, music, theatre, and visual arts. The innovative and comprehensive curriculum provides students with a strong foundation to enter top-level colleges, universities or conservatories. In addition, all PCA students are enrolled in the prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme and may pursue an IB Diploma. PCA Admission is by audition and open to rising freshmen, PCA services students from their first year of high school all the way until they walk across the graduation stage with their well-earned medallion. PCA also provides scholarship opportunities for graduating seniors. ABC, or Arts in Basic Curriculum, works closely with PCA to ensure the best for our students. PCA is an official ABC site.

Mrs. ID. Cureton-Cummings, the PCA Director and our show's director, and Mrs. Charlotte L. Fletcher, a PCA Theatre teacher at RNE and our show's House Manager, make up the Theatre Department dream team!
