Junior (11th grade) Samantha was in costume and prop crew during her freshman year, and was promoted to the stage manager during her sophomore year. She is in student council, fashion club and the National Honors Society. This year she is helping out through tech in the North Kansas City High School Miscast and their production of 12 Angry Jurors. She would like to thank her friends and family especially her step-dad Alan who makes set pieces.

Senior Ajah Njeru is a senior at NKCHS and she is so excited to finish out her senior year strong as a member of the coolest girl group around, the six wives of Henry the VIII. This is Ajah’s last performance as a member of NTA and though she is sad to leave the department, she is excited for her future at Truman State University where she will be pursuing her bachelor’s in health science with a focus in pre-med!

Junior Lauren has participated in theatre for six years, and this is her second time directing. She was introduced to theatre by a friend in middle school, where she participated in Into the Woods Jr.. Since then, she’s branched out into all aspects of theatre- many types of crews, acting, and directing. In this collection of shows, she directed Baby Steps, written by Geoffrey Nauffts, and set up the lights. She loves theatre, and would encourage anyone considering to try it- even if it’s just for one show! She hopes to direct a full-length show next year.

Senior -Tori is a senior at Northtown and has been in theater for all 4 years, she has had roles such as The Birdwoman in Mary Poppins and Antigone in Antigone. She’s excited to be directing and starring in a show that promotes feminism and being able to tell your story. Though she’s sad to be leaving her theater family she’s excited to see what the future holds for the department

Sophomore -Cat has participated in theatre for 4 years, and this is her first time stage managing. She began theatre in seventh grade after doing competitive drama. She mainly does crew now, but before high school she was mainly an actor. In this collection of shows, she is the stage manager for Baby Steps by Geoffrey Nauffts, and is running the lights. She thinks theatre is very fun and diverse, and recommends joining!

Junior Marianna Flores is a junior at NKCHS. She was in the running crew for M.O.B.S 2019, Antigone, and Frogs. She was in the ensemble for Mary Poppins and The Great Gatsby. During the spring of 2020 she was involved in M.O.B.S with minor roles. She was in the student directed show 12 Angry Jurors as juror number nine. During the Miscast she got the opportunity to sing a solo song. She is on the Varsity cheer team, on the NTV News team, in Harmonaires show choir, and helps out Student Council. This spring she is happy to be a part of 21 Chump Street as the character Naomi. She would like to thank her mother, aunt, grandmother and friends for always being there for her.

Freshman (9th grade) Anastasia enjoys performing, Lockdown will be her 3rd high school production and 8th production overall. She excited to take on her new Role as stage manager in Lockdown, as well as portray Penny in Lockdown. Along with theater Anastasia participates in Color guard, HOSA and orchestra. She is very hopeful for her future at Northtown.

Junior Allison was in costume and props crew her freshman and sophomore year. She is in National Honors Society, Early College Program, FCA, FCCLA, and Fashion Club. This year she is head of Costume Crew for all of the North Kansas City High School productions. She would like to thank her parents for supporting her in everything she does.

Junior -Laken is delighted to be a part of MOBS XXIV. Her favorite credits include working as the Props Master for Mary Poppins, The Great Gatsby, MOBS XXIII, and other shows at North Kansas City Highschool. She would like to thank Noah Croom for introducing her to Theatre.
