M.O.B.S. XXIV (Mini-off broadway shows, student directed one acts) With a splash of Durang Cast

Baby Steps - Alex Arnold is a Senior at NKCHS who has done theatre for all four years of high school. Alex has appeared in the musical Hairspray and acted in plays such as Peter and the Starcatcher, The Chocolate Affair, Antigone, I Was There, and 12 Angry Jurors. Alex has also been active in crew for Pippin, Mary Poppins, and The Great Gatsby. Alex is sad to say goodbye to NKCHS’s theater department but excited for the future.

21 Chump Street -Noah Croom is a Junior at NKCHS, he started theatre in the 6th grade and has loved it ever since. In his almost 6 years of theatre he has been able to fly as Peter Pan, experience the magic of Mary Poppins as Michael Banks and get to stretch his acting in The Great Gatsby as George Wilson. He would like to thank his Mom and his family for their support and Mrs. Cunningham for helping him find his passion in Theatre.

Lockdown Sound for Hairspray, Peter and the Starcatcher, Pippin, Mary Poppins, The Great Gatsby Acted in MOBS XXII. Kylan just completed his assessments for Theatre IB and is very happy to have that behind him.

6 Janelle Douyon Is making her Northtown debut in 6. A transfer student from Lee's Summit, Janelle is currently a member of the NTV news, the Diversity Council, and the Black Student Union. She would like to thank her family for their support.

21 Chump Street Marianna Flores is a junior at NKCHS. She was in the running crew for M.O.B.S 2019, Antigone, and Frogs. She was in the ensemble for Mary Poppins and The Great Gatsby. During the spring of 2020 she was involved in M.O.B.S with minor roles. She was in the student directed show 12 Angry Jurors as juror number nine. During the Miscast she got the opportunity to sing a solo song. She is on the Varsity cheer team, on the NTV News team, in Harmonaires show choir, and helps out Student Council. This spring she is happy to be a part of 21 Chump Street as the character Naomi. She would like to thank her mother, aunt, grandmother and friends for always being there for her.

21 Chump Street, 6 -Lilly has participated with coterie theater, MTH theater, starlight theater, taking classes, acting and audition labs, along with dance and voice training, as well as numerous other school productions. She played tennis for Northtown, is a swimmer, and loves to be involved.

Lockdown - Laura is new to Northtown for junior year, and is excited to make a theatre debut. Most times, Laura can be found playing the cello.

An Actor's Nightmare, For Whom The Southern Belle Tolls, 21 Chump Street - Felix got into acting when his 7th grade public speaking teacher got him into theatre. Since then, he has been very interested and involved in theatre. In his 8th grade year, he had the opportunity to be an extra in the North Kansas City High School’s production of Mary Poppins where he got familiar with the theatre association. Once he got to NKCHS his first objective was to see what the incoming productions, then which, landed him a solo in the Miscast musical. Since then, he has participated in 12 Angry Jurors and NKCHS’s M.O.B.S. .

21 Chump Street, Lockdown, For Whom The Southern Belle Tolls, An Actor's Nightmare - John Kenney is a Senior who has been participating in the theater program of his high school for the past 4 years. He has appeared in musicals such as Bye Bye Birdie, Into the Woods, and Mary Poppins. He has also been in the plays The Book of Everything, The Great Gatsby, and 12 Angry Jurors.

Lockdown -Savannah is a senior at NKCHS and this is also her first year doing theatre in high school with her first performance being MisCast@NKC. Having done theatre in middle school, her performances include Into The Woods Jr. and The Lion King. She is a varsity tennis player and is involved in multiple choirs at North Town including the Harmonaires show choir. She is very thankful for the experience theatre has given her and to all the amazing people she has met. Savannah plans to attend MCC Maple Woods were she will pursue her goals of becoming a Vet Tech.

Baby Steps - Sophia is a Junior at North Kansas City High School. She loves being involved in Theatre and NTA and has been since the beginning of her Freshman year. She enjoys both tech and performance. She didn't start being part of Theatre until she started high school, but she believes it's better late than never. Sophia has been involved in every show one way or another since she's started going to Northtown and she has loved every second of it. If she had to pick a favorite of the shows she has been a part of, she would pick Mary Poppins.

6 - Ajah Njeru is a senior at NKCHS and she is so excited to finish out her senior year strong as a member of the coolest girl group around, the six wives of Henry the VIII. This is Ajah’s last performance as a member of NTA and though she is sad to leave the department, she is excited for her future at Truman State University where she will be pursuing her bachelor’s in health science with a focus in pre-med!

An Actor's Nightmare, Lockdown - This is Diego's second show to work on at NKCHS. His previous performances were at Northgate Middle School as an arch villain in Super Comics. He likes working with tech as well.

An Actor's Nightmare, For Whom The Southern Belle Tolls -Abbi has been participating in NTA for all four years of high school. In the past she has written and directed her own one act, as well as acted in one acts her freshman year. Her most notable role was as Mary Poppins in the 2019 fall musical. She is feeling bittersweet about her final performance in NTA. Abbi is immensely proud of of all of her peers and castmates and hopes her last performance does her career in NTA justice. Abbi wants to thank you all for coming to see the productions and she wants to thank Northtown, and Northtown Theatre for everything. She hopes you enjoy the show!

6, Lockdown -Freshman (9th Grade) Reed is an actor around the community participating in Theatre in the Park, Musical Theatre Heritage, Gladstone Theatre in the Park, Coterie master classes, and many productions throughout school. Some of her favorite roles include Bulda from Frozen and Juror number 4 from Northtown's last production, 12 Angry Jurors. She thanks her directors and fellow cast members for being so fun to work with!

An Actor's Nightmare, 6, Lockdown - Sonja Sanchez is a junior at North Kansas City High School. She has been doing theater for 5 years. She has participated in all of the shows ranging from Pippin to 12 Angry jurors. She first appeared as Rapunzel in her 6th grade production “Into The Woods”. She loves theater and loves every moment on stage and she’s thankful to be in the shows she’s in now.

6 -Tori is a senior at Northtown and has been in theater for all 4 years, she has had roles such as The Birdwoman in Mary Poppins and Antigone in Antigone. She’s excited to be directing and starring in a show that promotes feminism and being able to tell your story. Though she’s sad to be leaving her theater family she’s excited to see what the future holds for the department
