This year, the Chamber Singers, Logan High School's select choral ensemble, have received and accepted an invitation to be one of three invited high school choirs to sing on Carnegie Hall stage in early March, alongside the Capital University Chapel Choir and a professional Manhattan-based orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Lynda Hasseler. With exceptional programs, like the one we have here in Logan, there comes an increased need for community support to make this Carnegie Hall dream, one that so many musicians aspire to, a reality for our students. Just picture our students, from our beloved Logan – true grassroots students from Appalachia, Ohio – singing on the stage of one of the finest historical venues in the world.
We invite you to take advantage of this community leadership opportunity and support The Chamber Singers in reaching this major goal, which they have worked so hard to accomplish.
Your tax deductible gift will provide a once in a lifetime opportunity for these young vocalists to perform in the spotlight on Carnegie Hall Stage! The total cost of the trip is more than $50,000, yet the experience is truly priceless. Each student is responsible for paying part of the cost, but we need your help.
All donations are welcome and appreciated, especially as you are considering your year-end charitable contributions. If you are interested in sponsoring a specific portion of the trip, some of the major expenses for our 40 singers are as follows: Transportation – $3,900; Hotel for three nights – $8,550; Three sit-down dinners – $1,900; Carnegie Hall Concert Performance Fee – $33,700.
