Producer/Musical Director
Mr. John McClain
John M. McClain is the Director of Choirs at Logan High School and leads music in worship at Union Furnace United Methodist Church. John is a native of Logan and, now teaching grades nine through twelve, he directs six high school choral ensembles. As a graduate of Capital University, he sang in the Capital University Chapel Choir, Philomel - under the direction of Dr. Lynda Hasseler - and Chordsmen - under the direction of Mr. Craig Courtney. He acted as a tenor section leader and soloist in those ensembles. Now, John is regularly heard on professional choral music recordings from Beckenhorst Press, produced by Aire Born Studios. Some of John's solo ventures include performing the Star Spangled Banner for former President Barack Obama, singing as soloist in St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican, and various venues throughout Europe. He considers himself extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to make music every day, as his job, with the best young people in the world.

Mrs. Shelly Riggs
Mrs. Shelly Riggs has been with the Logan Hocking School District since 1991. A graduate of The Ohio State University, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Science Education and a Masters of the Arts in Theatre Education. She is a Chekhov trained teacher and performer, as well as being trained in stage combat with the Society of American Fight Directors. Mrs. Riggs not only directs at Logan High School, but also performs as an actor and vocalist with various theatre groups. Her favorite ensemble role has been with Ohio University - Lancaster, where she was in Chicago the Musical, and her favorite acting role has been Gertrude in the LHS Thespian show, And Flights of Angels, an adaptation of Hamlet. Favorite directing credits include Next to Normal, Pirate Girl - an original script which she wrote, and Who Will Carry the Word? Mrs. Riggs will make her Columbus debut in acting this April with Red Herring Productions, and will direct Next to Normal this summer with Imagine Productions.

Assistant Vocal Director/Accompanist
Ms. Gretchen Weber
Gretchen Weber is the assistant director and accompanist for the Logan High School Choirs and the Director of Music at the First Presbyterian Church in Nelsonville, OH . This is her fourth year with the choirs, having graduated from Case Western Reserve University with her M.A. in Music Education and Teaching License in May of 2016, where she was a graduate teaching assistant for the CWRU’s auditioned and non-auditioned choral ensembles. She earned her B.A. in vocal performance from Saint Louis University in May of 2013. While receiving her degrees, Gretchen has accompanied, conducted, and sung in professional Baroque choirs, advanced college choirs, and children’s choirs in both St. Louis and Cleveland. Along with teaching and accompanying at the high school, Gretchen teaches middle school general music and sings in and accompanies Columbus-area church and community choirs, including Capital University’s Choral Union, under the direction of Dr. Lynda Hasseler.

Mrs. Karen Bergreen
This is Mrs. Bergreen's 3rd year as Assistant Director, and the 20th year that Mrs. Bergreen has helped with the fall play. She is the wife of Scott Bergreen and the mother of two sons, Keith and Daniel. Mrs. Bergreen teaches forensic science, introduction to computer science, and AP computer science principles at Logan High School. She is also a certified yoga instructor with a specialty in trauma informed yoga. During the summer months, she teaches yoga at Lancaster Parks and Recreation Health and Fitness facility.

Mrs. Tonya Kraner
Tonya Kraner is well versed in choreographing, teaching, and performing many dance styles. She has trained and performed with numerous NYC & LA professionals. She and her dancers have performed for the United Way Rally, Celebration of Possibilities, Columbus Crew Soccer, Columbus AIDS Task Force, Columbus Tap Project, Sea-Bus, Columbus Dance Alliance, WSU, OU, OSU, Break the Floor NYC, Disney World, Toyota Gator Bowl, and Kibbutz Dance Company in Israel among others. Tonya is centered in Lancaster where she created and choreographs TNT Dance Team and travels to teach master classes. She has choreographed for Ohio theatre companies including Lancaster HS, Logan HS, Ohio University, Weathervane Playhouse, Gallery Players, Evolution Theatre Company and Imagine Productions.

Ashley Aldridge
Ashley Aldridge is a sophomore at Logan High School and is excited to be a part of this show. After high school, she plans to go to college but she does not know what she wants to study yet. This is her first year as Stage Manager and her second year as a part of Logan High School's theater program. She would like the thank her friends and family who have always supported her.

Dreena Wiseman
Dreena Wiseman (Assistant Stage Manager) is proud to work on her last show here at LHS. She is a senior and the daughter of Craig and Rhonda Wiseman. Her high school credits include, ensemble in Footloose and Stage Manager of Next to Normal, The Idiot, Mort and Shrek the musical. After high school, Dreena plans to go to college for Zooology and Pre- Vet. She is also a four year varsity lettermen in golf and plans to go on to play in college. Dreena would like to thank our program for always being there for her and her parents who have pushed her to always do what she loves.

Lighting Designer
Maddie Wittman
High School Musical will be Maddie Wittman's sixth show here at LHS, while also participating in Band, Choir, Thespian Society, and Student Council as a Junior. In this production she is doubling as the Lighting Designer and acting on stage as one of the Brainiacs, Kratnoff. In her last show, Charolotte's Web, she began her training as Lighting Designer on crew. She would like to continue her involvement in the arts after high school, but ultimately is set on going into a form of biological study. Maddie would like to thank her parents for always helping her with the craziness that is her schedule, and DriversEd.com so she could still work towards her driver's license without missing rehearsals.

Daniel Capuzzi
Daniel is currently a senior at Logan High School. After graduating he will be attending Johns Hopkins University and majoring in Neuroscience, and later attending medical school. Most recently, Daniel has been involved as an actor and/or lighting designer in shows including Charlotte’s Web, Shrek, and Mort. Daniel would like to thank his parents for their continuous love and support of his endeavors. He would also like to wish the best of luck to his best friend and the newest head lighting designer Maddie Wittman.

Elyssa Wolfe
Elyssa Wolfe is proud to be doing her first ensemble role in her first acting role in a musical. Although she has done other shows such as being Fern in Charlotte's Web and sound design, also being part of set crew and sound crew for Shrek the Musical and being a member of the ensemble for A Miracle on Santa Claus Lane. Her plans for after high school are to join the National Guard and go to college for Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement. Elyssa also is apart of the Logan Band and attends school at Tri-County Career Center. Elyssa's parents are Terry and Traci Wolfe. She would also like to give a special thanks to all of her family and friends who have supported her throughout this exciting, eventful journey.

Ethan Overley
Ethan Overley has been in theater for about a year now and this is his first musical. But he has been in a few other plays. He played the MC, Guard, and Assassin in Mort. He also did sound for MOSCL and he has done light board twice for winter fest, and he played Lurvy in Charlotte's Web. His mom's name is Lyndsey Lewis and his stepdad name is Charles Lee Lewis his dad's name is Shawn Overley. His plans so far are to be a game designer, to be an actor/director and maybe to sing. Theater is the only after school activity but he does work at Wendy's.

Callie Nagy
Callie Nagy currently lives with her sister, Cassandra Nagy, and she has been involved in shows for nearly her entire high school career. Mort, Into the Woods and The Idiot, to name a few. Her plans after high school are to eventually go to college for Zoology, even if it's a year or so after high school.

Nicole Dicken
Nicole Dicken (Cathy and Costume Design) is excited for this show espesically because High School Musical was a childhood favorite of hers. Nicole is a Senior this year and will be attending Mount Carmel College Of Nursing in the fall! Nicole has also worked on Shrek, Mort, Into The Woods, The Idiot, and Radium Girls. Nicole is a member of the LHS Chamber Singers and 328. She would like to thank her family and friends for supporting her in all that she does.

Addy is a Junior at LHS, she is thrilled to be working on her 3rd musical. Addy is apart of the LHS Chamber Singers, Varsity Tennis, and is a Thespian. After High School Addy plans to attend OU, she is currently undecided. Trinity Cade (Lighting Crew) is very excited to do her second show at LHS. After starring in “Hammered” as Odin, she wanted a more inside look in her school theatre program. She is a Logan Marching Chieftain and she plays Bari Sax. Her parents, Shane Cade and Tara Scholl, are proud supporters of her and the theatre program. She’s excited to learn new things and new people in this new experience. She would like to give a special thanks to her brother, Spencer for convincing her to do theatre and all her friends for their endless support.

Orion Carter (Set Crew) is very happy to be helping with High School Musical. Orion has been doing theater since he was very young. He's been involved in many community theater productions and has been involved with the high school program since his freshman year. Orion also takes dance at Kid's In Motion in Lancaster. After high school, Orion plans to pursue musical theater.

Cecilia Greco is a sophomore. She runs cross country and track. Her moms name is Dalena Greco, and her Dads name is Steven Greco. Cecilia was in her 8th grade play. She hasn’t been in a show since. She is trying to get accepted into MIT.

Arizona Hamm
Arizona Hamm is a sophomore and the daughter of Roger and Jessica Hamm. She has been in multiple shows including The Wizard of Oz, The Door, Tracks, and Charlotte's Web. Arizona also acted as Dorothy in Dorothy in Wonderland. Other activities she participates in include band, tennis, In The Know, Girl Scouts, and FCCLA.

Tessa Luicart (Lighting Crew, Set Crew) is excited to work on her first show at LHS. She is a junior and the daughter of Audra and Mark Luicart. This is her first experience with theater. After high school, she plans to go to college for either art or science. She also participates in golf, archery and band. Kyndal Nutter
Kyndal Nutter (Set crew and Thespian ensemble) is a sophomore and is excited to do her first musical. She was been in a hand full of plays but not a musical. The plays she was in were Fractured, Any Body for Tea?, and Charlotte's Web. Kyndal is the daughter of Steph and Buddy Nutter, she has two brothers named Austyn and Blayke. Her plan for after high school is to go into the accounting field and become a well-adjusted adult. In the free time that she has, she goes to a boxing gym. She would like to thank her family and friends for their support and effort in her dreams and activities.

Madachi Roberts (Ensemble, Makeup Crew) is excited for her first show here at LHS. She has worked as Stage Manager for Annie the Musical and danced for When We Were Your Age in middle school. Madachi is a freshman and daughter of Lance and Winki Roberts and has a younger brother, Soldier Roberts. Madachi does sports such as track and tennis and enjoys hip hop and ballet. She would like to thank her brother Soldier for encouraging her to join the musical because it is his favorite movie, and for Alexandra Nevil and Alexis Reed for doing it with her.

Airel Strickland
Airel Strickland (Prop and Set Crew) is excited to work on her third show here at LHS. She is a junior and the daughter of Adam and Cori Strickland. Airel has been in the plays, The Ladies of the Tower and The Gorgon Sisters. Airel is working towards becoming a part of the Thespian Troupe. She would like to give a special thanks to her father for convincing her to join. Airel wants to become a Marine Biologist later in life but is going to start off going to college for business.
