Playwright: Gambler's Flunk
Alejandro Hernandez Carranza
Alejandro is a senior at GMHS. This is his first time being involved in a theatrical production. Excellent. It was an enjoyable, yet challenging experience. For his first time doing something like this, he must say that it has been a great experience. Mrs. McLaughlin is very accomodating, and the cast and crew adapt very well. His hobbies include Reading & Writing, Thinking, Playing Japanese Mahjong, Playing Video Games, and Making Coffee. He would like to thank Mrs. McLaughlin for reaching out to him and giving him this opportunity to work on such a grand project like this. He also thanks for the cast members and the troupe for going out of their way and taking time out of their day to work on his project. Without Mrs. McLaughlin, the cast, or the troupe, he would not be a part of this showcase.

Playwright: Slick Nick
Ashton Diendl
Ashton is a freshman at GMHS. His first and only previous appearance in one of productions was as Mr. Tomasino in Les Examables. For Ashton, working on Crimes Square has been very enjoyable; seeing his writing come to life through amazing actors and actresses has been an absolute joy. He would like to thank his family, which watches (or listens) to every play he is involved with and supports him along the way. Also, his cast members have been amazing to work with. He couldn't wish for any better. He is extremely overjoyed by their performances and portrayals of the characters.

Producing Director
Erin McLaughlin
Mrs. McLaughlin has been working at GMHS since 2017 and managing the theatre program since 2018. Some of her favorite shows she's worked on here are: Letters to Sala; Almost, Maine; Shrek the Musical; Nooses Off!; and Les Examables. She is really pleased with how this showcase production has come together, from the writing process to the super collaborative and supportive rehearsals. Creating a showcase of student-written radio plays completely virtually has definitely been a challenge, but it's been really rewarding, and she's super proud of the theatre troupe for their hard work and resilience throughout this process. She would like to thank the Theatre Boosters for their ongoing support and the entire community for continuing to see our shows and support our program during these crazy times. Enjoy the show!
