Carly Spagnuolo (Agnes Evans)
Carly, a senior this year, has been on our stage regularly since middle school! She's been seen in "45 Seconds from Broadway," "Drowsy Chaperone," "Disaster," and "Kodachrome." Before high school she was also seen in "Honk! Jr." "Aladdin, Jr." and "Into the Woods, Jr." In addition to Be Drama, she is in Tri-M, NHS and is a member of Encore! In the community she can be hired to take care of peoples houses and animals when they're away. Carly would like to thank her parents for supporting her and pushing her to do her best. She's not yet sure what she wants to be in the future but is excited to go to college and find what she is interested in. "This is my first lead role and I'm absolutely ecstatic about it! I hope you like our show!"
Gavin Welcher* (Chuck Biggs)
Senior Gavin Welcher is a Be Drama veteran, having first appeared as the Baker in the middle school production of "Into the Woods, Jr." Since then he's attended numerous Drama Camps (Be Drama and the Marquis Theater) and he's performed featured and lead roles in productions including "45 Seconds from Broadway," "Drowsy Chaperone," "Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time," and "Disaster!" Gavin lists his other activities as A Capella choir and annoying JHops to the best of his ability. He's not sure yet what his future holds but we all know he will be amazing at it! Gavin wishes to thank Elijah, Brandon and Nick "because those are some cool dudes." "I definitely play D & D with my friends like every weekend."
Charley Burns (Lillith/Lilly)
Charley is a freshman in her first BHS show! She's no stranger to the stage, however, having been Deb in Elf Jr at AMS, Yertle the Turtle in Cranbrook Theatre School's "Seussical" as well as other showcase performances on their stage. Aside from Be Drama, Charley is a member of the BHS Concert Choir and our newly formed GSA. When she's not in school she's been a member of Detroit Junior Roller Derby's varsity team under the name Debbie Scary and also plays the guitar. Charley would like to thank her family, friends (especially Carrie), JHops and this amazing cast and crew that has made her feel so welcome here. She wants to be an actor and hopefully work with Quintin Tarantino some day. "I'm so excited and honored to be a part of this show!"
Angeline Ameloot* (Tilly Evans)
Angeline is a junior this year but is no newbie on our stage! She was seen first in our Middle School shows, then was in "Disaster," "Kodachrome," "Grease," and has been quite active on the crew as well. Aside from Be Drama, Angeline is in B.A.T.S and Encore. Outside of school she fosters cute puppies and volunteers at her local dog rescue. Angeline would like to thank her family and friends, Levi, Meredith and Zeddy for dealing with her. In the future she plans on a degree in the arts, but due to her singing, acting, dancing and visual arts abilities ... which one?! "D & D is fun, everyone should play it at least once in their life."
Livia Hetes* (Kaliope/Kelly)
Senior, Livia Hetes has had some trail-blazing performances on our stage. She was seen in "45 Seconds from Broadway" as Rayleen, "Disaster!" as Dazzle, "Kodachrome" as the Librarian and she would have been seen as Cha Cha in "Grease" "if it hadn't been canceled *sheds tear*. A decorated and super skilled dancer, she's performed in numerous productions of "The Nutcracker" and dance/musical theatre recitals as well as summer intensives, most notably, The Performing Arts Project. In the community Livia volunteers at a bunny shelter and also teaches occasional dance classes. Livia would like to thank her parents, friends and JHops for their support and encouragement in her pursuit of her dream of being an Actor. When asked if there was anything else she wanted people to know she answered, "I'm tired and it's too late for my brain to come up with something to say so we're gonna go with no."
Brandon Urikh* (Orcus/Ronnie)
Brandon, a junior, is quite the experienced actor. With Be Drama he's been featured in "Curious Incident ...," "Disaster!" "Kodachrome," and "The Music Man, Jr." In the community he's been in "Thoroughly Modern Millie," "The Snow Queen," and "Beauty and the Beast, Jr." Along with Drama he is also in NHS. In the future he wants to be a filmmaker. Brandon would like to thank his family and friends. "I hate Gavin."
Olivia Bath* (Vera)
Olivia, a senior and Co-President of the Be Drama Board, has been appearing on the Be Drama stage since she was in Middle School. She has been seen in our productions of "45 Seconds from Broadway," "Drowsy Chaperone," "Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time," "Disaster!," "Kodachrome" and was ready to wow audiences last year in our ill-fated production of "Grease" as Sandy. In addition to Be Drama she is also a member of Tri-M and Encore! Olivia would like to thank family, friends and JHops. Olivia's future plans are to "ideally be married to Harry Styles." "I am so grateful to be a part of this show and I'm so happy that we were able to make it happen in spite of everything."
Sydney Studer* (Evil Gabbi)
Sophomore Sydney is one of our most dedicated performers beginning with middle school musicals and now her breakout role tonight! She is also one of Be Drama's Sophomore Representatives and is a member of BHS's show choir, Encore! Outside of school she's also performed with Stagecrafter's Youth Theatre and was in "Legally Blonde" at the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts. She has attended Be Drama camp every year and has taken workshops with Broadway actor and dancer, Ben Cook. Sydney hasn't chosen a profession yet, but she always continue performing no matter what. She would like to thank her mom, dad, and family as well as JHops for this opportunity. "I'm a singer and I play the guitar."
Nicolai Binschus* (Miles)
Little Nick, as we call him, is a Senior this year and has graced our stage in numerous productions including the title roles in "Annie," "Hello Dolly!" "Cats" and "Titanic." Nick is president of the John Hopkins fan club, sings in Encore! and is a prolific writer ... on desks. In the community, Nick enjoys yodeling and picking wild flowers. In the future, Nick will study to be a primo ballerino since he can't think of other jobs for people as skinny. He thanks his friends, family and JHops for writing his bio. "JHops is the best! He's cool! He's everyone's favorite!"
Aurora Sousanis* (Evil Tina)
Eleventh grade Aurora has many strengths and talents. She first performed with Be Drama in middle school musicals and last year she was student producer for "Kodachrome." Currently the Secretary of Be Drama, she's also the bassist in the BHS Jazz Band, Cellist in the Orchestra, and plays basketball and tennis. Aurora is using her time in school wisely to expose herself to and learning about as many things as possible. She's constantly finding new things to love doing and the plan is just to keep exploring, working hard and honing her skills. Aurora would like to thank her parents for their continuous support and Mr. Hopkins for providing this opportunity. "I love singing and performing and being on stage and I think everyone should try it out because it is so much fun."
Amelia Ford* (The Narrator)
Amelia, a Senior this year, has quite the theatrical resume. Before being on our crew for "Kodachrome" and "Grease," she had been seen in "Cyrano De Burgershack," "Mary Poppins, Jr." "Frozen Jr.," and "Willy Wonka." She's also a member of Belle Tones here at BHS. Amelia enjoys musical theatre dance class and hopes to be on Broadway. Her hope is to join a college theatre program and audition for productions nearby. Amelia would like to thank her whole family. "I love singing. I like Spongebob. I'm a pisces. I have a sweet tooth and a cat and two dogs!"
Ava Heiler* (Farrah, the Faerie)
Ava, a junior, has been quite active on the Be Drama stage having been seen in "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime" (Judy Understudy), "Kodachrome" (Margery), and had it happened, she'd have been seen in last year's "Grease." In addition, she's been a part of numerous Be Drama camps and showcases and is the VP of the Helping 3x Around the World Club. In her spare time she does nothing due to her laziness. Ava wishes to thank her family, her boyfriend Rob Minkoff, who directed Mr. Peabody and Sherman, and the entire city of Atlanta for no reason other than it was the first one to come to mind. In the future she plans to be rich by any means necessary. "I've always wanted to wrestle an alligator, but unfortunately that's actually pretty cruel so I'll be changing my 'thing I've always wanted to do.'"
Logan Wrona* (The Great Mage, Steve)
Senior Logan bounces back and forth between the cast and crew being adroit at both! He's been in "45 Seconds from Broadway," did crew for "Disaster!" and "Elf Jr." ensemble for "Grease" and both cast and crew for "Kodachrome." He's done numerous summer workshops and improv camp at Stagecrafters. A member of NHS and DFS, he enjoys art and running when he has the time. In the future he'd like to work with animals or be the producer of his own animated TV show. He wishes to thank his family and friends for helping him get to where he is. "I would like people to know that long sleeve shirts are infinitely inferior to t-shirts."
Meredith Batcheller* (Ensemble)
Meredith, a junior at BHS, is no stranger to the Be Drama stage! As a sixth grader she had a major role in our high school production of "Hollywood Arms" playing a young Carol Burnett! She followed up that appearance in numerous Middle School productions, Be Drama Camps and Showcases, "Kodachrome," "Grease" (as Patty Simcox), and is a member of the Be Drama Board. She has also been seen around BHS in Belle Tones, Tri-M and Peer 2 Peer. Aside from Be Drama, Meredith has also performed in "Suessical," "Aladdin," and "Frozen Jr." with the Village Players of Birmingham, attends dance classes at the Borgo Dance School and is an avid Netflix watcher. Meredith is thankful for JHops, family and friends. Her main goal in life (an admirable one at that) is to be happy! "Thanks for watching the show!"
Morgan Collens* (Ensemble)
Morgan, a Junior, is quite a leader in the drama department and beyond. She was seen in the ensemble for "Disaster!" was student producer for "Kodachrome," and was an incredible Jan in our ill-fated "Grease" last year. Aside from Be Drama she is a member of our new GSA, writes for the Spectator and sings in A Cappella. In her spare time, Morgan enjoys sitting in her house. Morgan would like to thank her parents, Aaron and JHops. Morgan is in the process of exploring what she wants to do in the future. "It has been so fun and weird to be a part of this new way of performing."
Tamsin Considine (Ensemble)
Tamsin is a freshman but not new to our stage. She has been seen in "Schoolhouse Rock, Jr.," as Emily in "Elf Jr." and in many Be Drama camps and showcases. She takes an acting class with Glenn Morshower but hasn't been able to use those skills in the community as there seems to be a pandemic or something. This hasn't however, kept her from doing children's church at her dad's church. In addition to Be Drama she is also a member of our new GSA. Tamsin would like to thank JHops, Glenn Morshower, her parents and all of the other teachers that have inspired her to be the best she can be. Her future goal is to have an acting career and plans to work hard and even harder to make sure that she achieves her dream. "The Berkley Drama Program is one of the best things that I have ever been a part of."
Parker Fry (Ensemble)
Parker, a freshman, has been incredibly responsible and has been in quarantine as a precaution for his castmates. He has been seen in numerous middle school musicals including playing Santa in last year's "Elf Jr." Parker would like to thank Ms. Smith. In the future he plans to go to school and become an engineer. The cast and crew are thankful for Parker's presence in this production and his helping to keep everyone safe.
Jacob Gonzales (Ensemble)
Jacob, who has been tall enough for years, is finally a Freshman! He's done three middle school musicals including "Elf, Jr." in which he played the title role. Off the stage he enjoys being a member of the BHS football team and basketball as well. In the community, Jacob helps out with the Angel Kisses fundraiser, helping families dealing with perinatal losses. He is thankful for his mom, dad, brother and grandparents. In the future he wishes to pursue a career in film and is hoping his time on stage will help him toward that. "I have ten fingers and ten toes."
Maya Shepard (Ensemble)
Maya, who joins the BHS family this year as a Junior, is enjoying her first experience on the BHS stage. Before Be Drama she was seen as Amy in "Little Women" in CA, Miley in"The Day Skinny Jeans Saved the Universe" and Ms. Shabby in "Dirty Work in High Places." Having attended Interlochen Arts Academy last year in their Creative Writing program and was asked to direct a play before the shut down last year. She would like to thank the Drama Department for giving her the opportunity to be a part of this play and her family for being so supportive. In the future she plans to go to a strong liberal arts school so she can write, perform and use her ideas to help people. "I've always enjoyed the arts. I enjoy writing, drawing and performing on stage."
Amanda Olinger (Ensemble)
Amanda, a Freshman new to the district, is so happy to be in the show and intends to be the best ensemble member she can be. She first tested the theatrical waters in a play last year at her previous school. Aside from Drama she's also a member of the Concert Band. Amanda would like to thank her parents for supporting her and a few friends from drama for being people she knows. In the future, she plans to be an animator and practices constantly ... even while writing this bio! "This is my first real show and I'm super excited that it's as unique of an experience as it is with the pandemic thing and all."
Russell Sousanis (Ensemble)
Freshman, Russel is enjoying this his first show. In addition to his newfound fame you can also find him on the tennis courts on the BHS Freshman team. Russell is interested in filmmaking and directing and hopes to explore more of that through the BHS Film Studies class and his own works. Russell would like to thank his friends and family for their support.
