Mary Chase (Playwright)
Mary Coyle Chase was an American journalist, playwright and children's novelist, known primarily for writing the Broadway play Harvey, later adapted for film starring James Stewart. She wrote fourteen plays, two children's novels, and one screenplay, and worked seven years at the Rocky Mountain News as a journalist.
Nick Kougias (Director)
Alumnus of St. Edward’s University (B.F.A., Acting/Directing) in Austin Texas, Nick continues to balance his professional teaching career with his acting career. Nick was last seen in Our Town (the Stage Manager), To Kill A Mockingbird (Atticus Finch), Equus (Martin Dysart), and the world premiere of Born on a Sunday (August Strind - berg) written by T.J. Walsh. He worked as a stagehand on the shows Annie Get Your Gun, Carousel, and Cinderella, for Casa Mañana, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum for the Scott Theater, and the Broadway touring show The Phantom of the Opera at Bass Hall. Nick would like to thank the administration and faculty of Eaton High School for their continued support, to Courtney McDonald for all of the hard work put into this production, to the parents of the entire company of Harvey. and, most importantly, to his loving wife and five kids for all of their love and support.
Courtney McDonald (Assistant Director)
Mrs. McDonald is excited to have worked with the cast and crew of Harvey This is her ninth year in the Fine Arts department at NISD and her second year as the Assis - tant Director of Theatre at Eaton School. She is a graduate of Texas A&M University, where she studied Speech & Communications. She would like to thank the entire cast and crew for all of the work they have put into Harvey. She would also like to thank the EHS administrators, Mike Blankenship and Nick Kougias for their mentorship, and her hus - band, Terrell, for his love and support.
Zoie Harris (Student Director)
Zoie Harris is thrilled to be directing this unique & outstanding show. Her past directing experience includes ‘Romeo & Juliet’, and she was last seen as Twin Two in Peter Pan. She would like to thank her family (especially her sister) and her boyfriend for supporting her. And she would also like to thank Mr. K, Mrs. McDonald, Carter Vance, Emma Chambers, and the company of ‘Harvey’ for being amazing and helping her learn the art of directing.
Carter Vance (Stage Manager)
Carter is very excited to stage manage for the first time and get more involved with technical theatre. He’d like to thank Mr. K and Mrs. McDonald for the opportunity to work on such a touching show.
Emma Chambers (Assistant Stage Manager)
Emma is excited to be in the production of Harvey at Eaton High School. Her past roles were Stage Manager for Clue and Fly Crew for Peter Pan. Emma is overjoyed to work beside her Stage Manager Carter Vance and Student Director Zoie Harris.
Austin Bandy (Elwood P. Dowd)
Austin Bandy Grace is truly excited for his first black box show and his first lead role. He performed in the latest OAP and assistant directed/performed in V.R. Eaton’s “Almost Maine”. His favorite part of theatre is making people laugh.
Skylar Mundun (Veta louise Simmons)
I was Villian in “Almost Maine” and a lead in a senior direct last year, to me theatre isn’t just acting and doing plays it’s where you can grow as a person and not only make friends but make family.
Parker Taylor (Myrtle Mae Simmons)
Parker Taylor is excited to be in her first black box show and to get her first lead! She was previously Marvalyn in Almost, Maine. She would like to thank her family for all of their support!
Madison Le Gros (Mrs. Ethel Chauvenet)
Madison has been involved in almost every show and is very excited for her first speaking role. She enjoys choir, reading, writing, and being a plant/dog mom but theatre will always be her home.
Alyssa Dunavant (Ruth Kelly, R.N)
Alyssa Dunavant is very excited to partake is this heart warming story and her first black box production. Past roles include Nancy Jane Harlen from Radium Girls and Rhonda from Almost Maine. She would like to thank her family and her directors for all their support.
Riley Thompson (Duane Wilson)
Riley would like to thank his family for all of their support and his directors for giving him this opportunity.
Logan Sargant (Lyman Sanderson, M.D)
Logan is very excited to be apart of Harvey! He has recently been seen in Clue as Wadsworth and Almost Maine as Randy. His favorite thing about theatre is the friendships he makes.
Trent Reigler (William R. Chumley)
Trent Riegler is incredibly excited to be acting in his first black box production! He has previously been seen in It's A Wonderful Life as well as Radium Girls. Trent's favorite part of theatre is being able to bring his characters to life on stage.
Kia Rupert (Betty Chumley)
Kia would like to thank everyBUNNY for attending Harvey! Her previous roles include Edna from It’s A Wonderful Life, the one armed Pirate from Peter Pan, and Woman Among The Dead from Our Town. She would love to thank her directors for believing in her!!
Ethan Dodson (Judge Omar Gaffney)
Ethan Dodson is emphatic to be performing as Judge Gaffney in Harvey. He enjoys the community and has had a lot of fun in the shows he's been in. He has been in only one show, It's a Wonderful Life.
Bryce Shelton (E.J. Lofgren)
Bryce is very excited to be returning to the black box for Eaton’s production of Harvey! He has been in Spelling Bee as William Barfèe and Peter Pan as Noodler(pirate). He cannot wait to see what opportunities this show will bring!
Gwen Mowdy (Miss Johnson)
This is Gwen’s third main-stage production at Eaton High School. Previously, she played Tootles in “Peter Pan” and Young Mary in “It’s a Wonderful Life.” Her favorite part about theatre is all of the people she’s been able to meet.
