Disney's Newsies Cast

Garrett Hale (Jack Kelley)
Garrett is very excited to be performing in Eaton’s Newsies! He would like to thank his directors, Mr. K and Mrs. McDonald as well as student director Zoie Harris, choreographer Ms. Hinojosa and music director Ms. Mercer.
Bryce Shelton (Crutchie)
Bryce is very excited for the opportunity to portray his dream role as Crutchie. He has previously played William Barfée in Eaton’s performance of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Noodler the pirate in Peter Pan.
Hunter Browning (Katherine Plumber)
Hunter is thrilled to be in V.R. Eaton High School’s production of Newsies. Some of her past roles include Wendy in Peter Pan and Olive Ostrovsky in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Hunter is proud to be a part of this theatre family.
Trent Riegler (Joseph Pulitzer)
Trent Riegler is thrilled to perform in his first musical with Eaton Theatre. He has previously appeared in It's A Wonderful Life as well as Harvey. Trent would like to thank his family as well as his directors for their continuous support.
Braylen King ((Newsie Ensemble))
Braylen King loves every aspect of musicals and is excited for this performance! His favorite roles include Haemon in Antigone and Malcolm in Macbeth. He loves the emotion shown in plays.
Mya Gowen (Race)
Mya Gowen is beyond excited to be in the Newsies production. This is her first High School play and can’t wait to perform on stage with all the other amazing actors and actresses. Her favorite thing about Newsies is that everyone works together like a family.
Josh Crocker (Seitz)
Josh Crocker is a senior at Eaton High School and has previously been involved in Peter Pan as Bill Jukes, Spelling Bee as Jesus Christ of Nazareth, and who could forget his exhilarating performance in My Fair Lady as Policeman. He would like to thank his directors and Héctor Jiménez.
Debbie Dunning (Nun/Bowery Beauties/Newsie Ensemble)
Debbie is thrilled to be apart of Newsies! Some of her past roles include “Pockets” in Peter Pan and “Grace Farrell” Annie. Debbie would like to thank her cast members, crew, directors, and family for their support.
Lexi Romero (Finch)
Lexie is thrilled to be in this Production. Favorite roles include Witch #3 in Shakespeares MacBeth, the 20 minute comedy and sweep #4 in Mary Poppins Junior. Lexie is also in choir and plays guitar. Her favorite thing about musical theatre is dancing.
Gracie Claire Aslin (Musch)
Gracie Claire is so excited to be apart of Newsies! Her past roles include Twin 1 in Peter Pan and Lady Macbeth in Macbeth. She loves telling stories through theatre. Thanks to Mom, Dad, sisters and God.
Riley Shelley (Newsie Ensemble)
Riley Shelley is twirling in excitement to be putting on Newsies! He has previously been seen in Peter Pan, My Fair Lady, Romeo & Juliet and It’s A Wonderful Life. He would like to thank his graduated class-men for helping him grow so much throughout the past year.
Logan Sargeant (Elmer)
Logan is very excited to be apart of Newsies! He has previously been seen as Dr. Sanderson in Harvey and as Cousin Eustace in Its a Wonderful Life. His favorite part of theatre is becoming close friends with the cast and crew.
Taylor Howell (Jo Jo)
As a new-comer to theatre at Eaton, Taylor Howell is thrilled to be cast as JoJo in Eaton’s production of Newsies! Taylor loves theatre’s diverse, creative energy, and the way it challenges her to grow as an actor.
Gwen Mowdy (Les)
Gwen is so excited for her second musical at Eaton High School! Her favorite role has been Tootles in Peter Pan. She is thankful for all of the new people she’s gotten to meet and how much she’s been able to learn.
Justin Eggert (Weisel)
Justin is thrilled to be apart of his 4th summer show at Eaton High School but is solemn that it is his last. He could have not asked for a better company for his last summer show and had a blast throughout the rehearsal process. He would like to thank his directors Mr. Kougias, Mrs. McDonald, and Zoie Harris for helping him develop his acting and his character during this process and throughout high school.
Ella Jackson (Tommy Boy)
E is so excited to be apart of one of her favorite shows, Newsies. She was last a part of Peter Pan and Harvey. She wants to thank her best friends for getting her involved in theatre and her directors for giving her a chance.
Carter Vance (Romeo)
Carter is enlivened to have the chance to be in this production of Newsies! He’s previously been in Spelling Bee, It’s a Wonderful Life, and Peter Pan and is ready to take on his next musical as one of his favorite roles!
Andrew Mendez (Oscar Delancey)
Andrew Has been many roles for Eaton this past year such as Montague from Romeo and Juliet and many more. Andrew likes theatre because it gives you a chance to go to a different world by acting
Kyndall Reed (Ike)
Kyndall is so excited to be apart of this production, as a Sophomore this is Kyndall’s 2nd musical and 4th production at V.R. Eaton high school. She study’s Dance, Acting and Voice at Casa Mañana. Previous roles that she has plays are Pockets in Peter Pan at Eaton, Kate in Pirates of Penzance at Casa Mañana, etc. She gives all glory for her roles and participation in theater to the Lord.
Ariana Reyes (Medda Larkin)
Ariana Reyes is excited to be a part her first show, Eaton High School’s production of “Newsies.” She enjoys leading worship at her church and making memories with family and friends.
Alyssa Dunavant (Albert)
Alyssa is very excited to partake in Newsies as it is one of her favorite musicals. Her previous roles include Nurse Kelly in Harvey and Ace in Peter Pan. She would like to thank her parents and directors for making this possible.
Lawrence Allen III (Specs)
Lawrence is ecstatic to be a newsie! He was last seen as a pirate in Peter Pan, Mr. Partridge in It's a Wonderful Life and VP Panch in the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. He would like to thank God, his directors, friends and family.
Jack Swearingen (Splasher)
This will be Jack's 4th Eaton performance including Wizard of Oz, It's A Wonderful Life and Peter Pan. He is excited to join the cast of Newsies. Jack loves looking into the audience and seeing people smile. Thanks, Mr.K.
Madison LeGros (Nun/Bowery Beauties/Newsie Ensemble)
Madison is excited to perform in her last summer show with Eaton High School. She’s been in many productions but her favorite was Mrs. Chauvenet in their most recent play, Harvey. She enjoys how beautiful the PAC was designed.
Ellery Campbell (Hannah)
Ellery is so excited to be apart of the amazing Newsies company! Ellery was seen as part of the Indian Ensemble (Peter Pan), and as Shelby (Steel Magnolias). She wanted to thank her amazing directors, family, and friends for supporting her and encouraging her to seize the day!
Riley Thompson (Cameraman/Goon/Guard)
Riley Thompson greatly enjoys Eaton Theater and is eager to take part in his first summer show. Favorite roles in the past have been Juror #8 in Twelve Angry Jurors and Mr. Wilson in Harvey. His favorite thing about Eaton theater is the amazing people that make up the program.
Adam Eikenberry (Bill)
Adam is extremely exited for newsies and is looking forward to working with his peers he has been in Romeo and Juliet and its a wonderful life as Balthazar and young George Adam loves theatre because he can work with friends on something that everyone is needed for.
Janessa Whitlock (Nun/Bowery Beauties/Newsie Ensemble)
Janessa is so excited to be in this production of newsies! In the past she has been seen in My Fair Lady as Ms. Hopkins and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Chip Tolentino. She’d like to thank her family and friends for supporting her. yeet.
Austin Bandy (Mayor of NYC)
This is Austin Bandy’s first musical at a V.R. Eaton High School And he’ll be playing ensemble. Austin loves making people laugh and that’s why he acts. His last show he started as Elwood in Harvey and he also acted in his class’ rendition of “12 Angry Jurors.”
Nabeela Hasnat (Buttons)
Nabeela Hasnat is an upcoming Junior. She is involved with the Chamber & Varsity Choir and Theatre III class. Her previous roles include Flounder in The Little Mermaid, Slightly in Peter Pan, and Marcy Park in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. She also vocal directed a summer production of Spelling Bee, and was casted as Logan Schwartzandgrubenierre. She’d like to thank her friends and family for supporting her endeavors, and hopes for the cast and crew of Newsies to Seize the day!
Micah McKinne (Snyder)
Micah is very grateful to have the opportunity to perform in this production. In the past she has played Glop in Peter Pan and Gale in Almost, Maine. She’d like to thank her parents and friends for the support they’ve offered up to her in her theatre career.
Kia Ruppert (Mr. Jacobi)
Kia is STOKED to be in her first ever Deli Shop Owner role (hoping for many more). She was last seen in Harvey as Betty Chumley, and in Peter Pan as the armless pirate! She would love to thank everyone for attending and everyone who supports her.
Anna Halza (Newsie Ensemble)
Anna Halza is thrilled to be a part of her first production with Eaton Theatre. She is so grateful for this opportunity, and would like to thank her parents for supporting her throughout all of her endeavors.
Maggie LeMasters (Newsie Ensemble)
Maggie is ecstatic to be a part of her favorite musical of all time, Newsies. Her past roles include Tigerlily in Peter Pan and Ruth Dakin Bailey in It’s a Wonderful Life. She thanks her family for all their support.
Spencer Tope (Stage Manager/Darcey)
Past roles include friar John and Lord Montague in TCU summer theatre camp, Foley artist for Chisholm Trail ms radio play, waiter in Chisholm Trail ms annual murder mystery, and gambler from Casa Manana production of Guys and Dolls.
Aiden Hogan (Mike)
My favourite role was Horton in Susical The Musical. A thing i enjoy about theatre is being able to express myself through acting.
Aaron Gibbs (Davey)
Aaron cannot wait to be in his first production at Eaton High School! He has been in choir for a year and hopes to pursue theatre as well. He would love to thank his company and directors for making his theatrical debut a wonderful experience.
Holly Jones (Newsie Ensemble)
She has been in theater for as long as she can remember. She loves theatre because she gets to be someone else and take on another role. She has been in Disney, Greek, and fairytale plays in middle and elementary school, and can’t wait to learn more.
