About The Twisted Tales of Poe: The Live Radio Play

This is our favorite production each year. A Live Radio Play where the actors take on multiple characters and create the sound effects in the style of a Foley board. A Foley board is the process of creating sound effects out of objects. For example, we are making the sound of fire by crinkling cellophane, the door creak sound by rubbing a finger across a balloon, and the sound of footsteps by putting shoes on our hands and walking on stones and wood. There are many more sounds in this show, so watch for the Foley board operators throughout. In addition to the unique opportunities for the actors to practice voice acting and Foley board operating, this show highlights the best of a great author, Edgar Allan Poem. The adaptation of four of his tales has introduced my actors to his work in a way school never could. We have enjoyed working on our second virtual, live streamed performance, but look forward to returning to the stage in person soon. Enjoy the show.

Titan Theatre

Titan Theatre is Dominion High School's theatre program offering classes during the school day and after school productions every year. Over the past three years, we have added a third production to our season offering a play in the fall, a radio play in the winter, and a musical in the spring. Last year, our musical, Singin' in the Rain was canceled due to Covid 19. This year, we have been recovering from the emotional and financial loss of that production. Since taking over the program three years ago, we have been working to rebuild the program increasing the number of classes and productions. It is an exciting endeavor that we will not allow Covid 19 to impede. We appreciate our audience's dedication to helping us continue as we await the moment we return to the stage in person.
