About LAUNDRY AND BOURBON

Laundry and Bourbon By James McLure

Hattie and Elizabeth spend a hot Texas afternoon pulling double duty by drinking cocktails while getting the laundry done. The arrival of their “friend” Anna Lee comes with her increasingly pointed bits of gossip surrounding Elizabeth’s husband Roy, and the company he keeps when he’s away from his wife. Navigating a minefield disguised as polite conversation, the ladies each exchange their own jabs – and Elizabeth reveals herself as a woman who will support her Vietnam veteran husband come hell or high water.
