About The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, JV

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, JV, The Musical is presented by our Musical Theatre class.  The class is designed to teach the students about all aspects of producing a stage musical.  Students are responsible for creating all aspects of the show, from characters to sets to sound and costumes and lights and business aspects.  The course culminates in end-of-semester performances that feature all that the students have learned and created.  We hope you enjoy our creation.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is based on the play by Barbara Robinson and tells the story of a school and church community that is terrorized by the rough-and-tumble Herdman kids.  When the Herdmans show up to Sunday school and take over the Christmas Pageant, it seems doomed to fail.  Just as it seems the pageant can't be saved, the community learns a lot about the real life of the Herdmans, and the true meaning of Christmas.
