The Southeastern Players tackle their most exciting challenge yet as they bring to life Shakespeare's classic THE TEMPEST. The story is a complex weave of love, magic, and redemption. Prospero, the usurped Duke of Milan, has been living on a deserted island with his daughter Miranda for 10 years. On this magical island, he is served by the whimsical Ariel and the barbaric Caliban. Then, as if by chance, a ship carrying those who wronged him passes near his island. Prospero senses the chance to get revenge and summons a massive tempest to crash the ship on the island. What happens next is where our story begins as Prospero comes to decide whether he wants to take revenge or seek redemption.
