Nila Vae Cochet (Dorothy)
Nila Vae is so excited to be starring as “Dorothy Gale” in The Wizard of Oz. Nila Vae just turned 10 years old and is a 4th grader at Regents. This is her 6th year at Regents. She has been involved with RSO drama for 2 years. Last year, She was a part of the ensemble cast in The Lion King. Nila Vae Loves to play soccer, tennis, gymnastics and cheer.
Anna Turner (Toto)
Anna has loved her time in the RSO Lower School Drama Club. She hates to see her time in this program come to an end. Anna is eleven years old and is in the 5th grade. She has been in drama since it began in 2016! Even though Anna has been in every play so far, she had her first major debut as “Tinker Bell” in the 2018 production of Peter Pan. Last year she had the time of her life playing “Rafiki” in The Lion King, Jr., and this year she is thrilled to take on the role of “Toto”! Anna also enjoys playing soccer and basketball, and she is very active in the Children’s Choir at First Baptist Oxford. Anna is constantly surrounding herself with friends and family. We’re quite sure being in the center of any conversation is her favorite place to be!
Stella Dahl (Auntie Em)
Stella is starring as “Auntie Em” tonight in The Wizard of Oz. She is ten years old and a 5th grader at Regents. She plays basketball and volleyball. She loves to sing and hang out with friends. She is really awesome at baking. Her laugh is infectious and love for musical theatre is growing every year.
Brody Everett (Uncle Henry; Winkie Guard)
Brody Everett is in his sixth year at Regents, and his second in drama. He is ten years old and in the fourth grade. Like most boys, Brody enjoys video games, playing and exploring outside with his friends, and all manner of sports; he is participating in basketball and archery at Regents this year. Brody is becoming an accomplished musician, as well, and has studied violin since the first grade.
Mac Cole (Scarecrow; Hunk)
This is Mac’s debut performance with RSO drama. He is stuffed with joy to be playing “Scarecrow” this season. Mac is 10 years old and in the 4th grade at Regents. Outside of drama Mac plays piano and swims for Shockwave team in Oxford. He also relishes reading and sings like a songbird in the children’s choir at College Hill Presbyterian Church. He would like to thank Mrs. Turner and Mrs. Everett for all of their hard work on “The Wizard of Oz!”
Lottie Messersmith (Lion; Zeke)
Lottie is thrilled to return to the RSO stage tonight starring as “Cowardly Lion” in The Wizard of Oz. Lottie’s nickname with her teachers is “Broadway,” which is very fitting because she loves the stage! Lottie is 10 years old and tonight is her fifth performance with the Regents Drama club. Other RSO performances Lottie has been a part of include Nate the Great (Narrator’s cat), The Gruffalo (Black tongue), The Lion King (Timon), and The Velveteen Rabbit (Rabbit). Lottie is in 4th grade has been a student at Regents for seven years. Lottie loves dancing and music and lives in a constant soundtrack as she sings herself through life. When not on stage you will find her riding bikes, writing songs, playing violin and making up dances.
Shelby Sorgenfrei (Tin Man; Hickory)
Shelby is excited to be starring as “Tin Man” tonight in The Wizard of Oz. Shelby is 11 years old and is a 5th grader at Regents. This is her third year participating in drama at RSO. Last year she was cast as Simba’s mother, as well as being part of the ensemble, in “The Lion King”. She has began her acting career playing a lost boy in “Peter Pan”. Shelby also loves playing club volleyball, Regents basketball and OPC soccer. She is looking forward to spending another great month at Camp DeSoto this summer!
Pearson Cochet (Miss Gulch; Ozian)
Pearson is delighted to be starring as the grumpy “Miss Gulch” in The Wizard of Oz. Pearson is 8 years old and is a 3rd grader at Regents. This is her 5th year at Regents, but her first year in RSO drama. Pearson loves gymnastics, cheer, soccer and tennis.
Knox Dixon (Professor Marvel; Wizard Oz)
Knox is pumped to be starring as “The Wizard” and “Professor Marvel” tonight in The Wizard of Oz. Knox is twelve years old and is a 6th grader at Regents. This is his 4th year at Regents. Knox has been involved in RSO drama for two years. He performed “Ed” the Hyena in The Lion King last year. Knox also enjoys basketball, baseball, flag football, and fishing. He is also an active member at Christ Presbyterian Church and is looking forward to youth group this summer.
Annalee Rogers (Lady in Rocking chair; Crow; Ozian)
Annalee is excited to be participating in this year’s The Wizard of Oz. She’s in 3rd grade at Regents and has been a student at Regents for five years. This is her 1st year in drama and has enjoyed the time with friends as well as learning more about acting. Annalee loves pretty much all sports but spends most of her time on the tennis court or soccer field. You can also find her on the back of a horse galloping through the fields.
Caroline Turner (Cow in twister; crow; Ozian)
Caroline is nine years old and is in the 3rd grade. This is her second year in RSO drama! Last year she was a part of the amazing ensemble in The Lion King, Jr. This year you will see her transition from a cow to a crow to an Ozian, and she’ll have the biggest smile on her face every time she crosses that stage! Caroline plays soccer and basketball and she is in the Children’s Choir at First Baptist Oxford. She is a talented artist and guitar player. She’s our bird! Her latest aspiration is to play her guitar on The Square for pocket change – watch out for her this summer! Ha!
Christian Sharp (Man in rowboat; Winkie Guard)
Christian Sharp is a 4th grade student at Regents. He played the farmer in Regent’s 2019 summer production of The Velveteen Rabbit. He enjoys playing basketball, football, and baseball. He excels at reading, math, sports, and music. He loves his family and Jesus with a passion.
Coop Bell (Man in rowboat; Munchkin; Guard)
Coop is in fourth grade at Regents, and this is his third Regents Drama production. He was a hawk in the Gruffalo and a lost boy in Peter Pan. Coop is on the Regents swim team, basketball team, and he also plays lacrosse. Coop enjoys his dog Blue, playing street hockey on his rollerblades, and listening to music.
Selah Meurrier (Glinda)
Selah is so excited to be starring as “Glinda” tonight’s performance of The Wizard of Oz. Selah is nine years old and is in the 4th grade. She has been a student at Regents for five years, and this is her third year in drama. Selah portrayed “Mrs. Darling” in Peter Pan, and last year she loved being Mufasa’s majordomo, “Zazu”, in The Lion King, Jr.! Selah enjoys playing soccer, drawing and all things animals, but her biggest love is reading. Any free time she has, you will find her with her nose in a book!
Audrey Reed (Munchkin 1; Ozian)
Audrey is excited to be a part of this years production of the Wizard of Oz. Audrey is 9 years old and in the 4th grade at Regents. This is her 6th year at Regents and has been involved in drama for 2 years. She was in the ensemble in The Lion King production last year. Audrey enjoys playing the piano and spending time with her friends. She is active in her church, Grace Bible.
Luci Eddleman (Munchkin 2; Ozian)
Luci is so excited to be in the Wizard of Oz playing Munchkin #1 and as a cast member in the Ozian ensemble. She is nine years old and has been a student at RSO for the past six years. Having a love for acting in plays and writing storylines, this is her third year in the drama program, and she starred as an Indian in Peter Pan and was a member of the ensemble in the Lion King. Luci loves to dance, sing and play piano. She enjoys playing with friends, spending time with her family and her three dogs, and finding humor and joy in the world that God has given us.
Annie Sorgenfrei (Mayor of Munchkinland; Ozian)
Annie is playing “The Mayor of Munchkin City” and an “Ozian” tonight. Annieis nine years old and is a third grader at Regents. This is her third year participating in drama at RSO. Last year Annie shone as “younger Simba” in “The Lion King” production. Shealso played an Indian in ”Peter Pan”. Annie enjoys singing, dancing, playing basketball and riding horses at Coach Kate’s farm.
Lainey Wood (Coroner; Ozian)
Lainey is thrilled to be starring in her first school drama production tonight in the Wizard of Oz. Lainey is 8 years old and in 3rd grade. Her other loves are singing, playing with friends and being outdoors as much as possible.
Delta Daugherty (Barrister; Lead Jitterbug)
Delta is thrilled to be starring as “The Barrister” and “The Lead Jitterbug” tonight in The Wizard of Oz. Delta is ten years old and is a 5th grader at Regents. This is her 6th year at Regents. She has been involved in RSO drama for five years. She performed in Nate the Great and The Gruffalo. She also played “Noodles” in Peter Pan and “Mufasa” last year in The Lion King. Delta also plays basketball and is on the archery team. She has been a Girl Scout for 6 years. Delta is the electric guitar player in the band The Roxford Ghost's.
Charles Cummins (City Father; Winkie Guard)
Charles' dream finally came true when he was cast in the Wizard of Oz. Charles' roles as a Winky Guard and City Father allows him to do some of the things that he likes to do the most, act and sing. Charles likes to play with board games, video games, and puzzles. He enjoys playing baseball, and is a passionate reader with his major focus being adventure. Charles can't wait until the premiere!
Hunter Harland (City Father; Winkie Guard)
Hunter is excited to be taking on the role of a City Father and Winkie Guard in this year’s production of The Wizard of Oz. He is in the 4th grade and 10 years old. This is Hunter’s 6th year at Regents and second year to participate in drama. Last year he was in the hyena ensemble and a vulture in The Lion King. Hunter enjoys tennis, golf, hunting and anything gaming.
Liz Hopson (Lullaby League; Ozian)
Liz is delighted that she gets to be a part of the Lullaby League in the Wizard of Oz tonight. Liz is 9 years old and is a 2nd grader at Regents. This is her 5th year at year at Regents. She made her drama debut in the Velveteen Rabbit as a bunny in the field. She looks forward to be a part of the many wonderful RSO drama productions of the future. Liz is one creative gal. She loves art and music, so adding drama is just natural. She is active in the First Baptist Children’s choir and rounds out as an up and coming basketball and soccer star!
Collette Spillman (Lullaby League; Ozian)
Collette (Ensemble, Lullaby League) is so excited to be returning to the Regents stage tonight as a cast member of The Wizard of Oz! Collette is eight years old and is in the second grade under the tutelage of her talented director, Molly Turner. Collette made her acting debut last year as the youngest cast member in The Lion King Jr. and inspired a new wave of young talent for the Regents Theatre Arts Program. Beyond the stage, Collette has a passion for the visual arts, stand-up comedy and directing original performance art pieces in the living room with her sister. Collette also has a passion for science, having constructed a lab in the closet under the stairs where she studies rocks and various other things under the microscope. Collette is a student athlete, attending school full time while playing soccer for FNC. She would like to dedicate this performance to her sister Caroline and her cousin Jeremiah, without whose influence she would not be here.
Sarena Pierce (Lullaby League; Ozian)
Sarena is a 2nd grader. This is her first drama experience. She is very excited to be in the Wizard of Oz. She has loved this story since she was able to hold a book. She would carry the book around everywhere with her and pretend to read. Sarena loves to sing. She is on the Regents cheer team and she attends Christ Pres.
Charles Bryan (Lollipop Guild; Winged Monkey)
Charles is eight years old and he is absolutely ecstatic about his first drama experience in The Wizard of Oz. He is a second grader enjoying his fourth year at Regents. On a pretty weekend, you will find him riding his dirt bike with his brothers (the set guys). On a rainy weekend, Charles loves to build with Legos and play games. He is a true renaissance man – an artist, an avid reader, and a pianist. Charles plans to be an astronaut when he grows up.
Whitten Reed (Lollipop Guild; Winged Monkey)
Whitten is excited to make his drama debut tonight in the Wizard of Oz. Whitten is 8 years old and in the 2nd grade at Regents. This is his 4th year at Regents and his first year in drama. Whitten enjoys playing any sport outside with his friends. He loves soccer, football and baseball. Whitten is active in his church, Grace Bible.
Sam Barkley (Lollipop Guild; Winged Monkey)
Sam is thrilled to be a part of “The Wizard of Oz” performance. Sam is 8 years old and is a 2nd grader at Regents. He has enjoyed his first year in RSO drama. Sam also plays soccer, baseball, tennis and football. Sam is smart and is learning about expressing himself in drama.
Grafton Graeber (Wicked Witch)
Grafton is excited to be starring as the “Wicked Witch” tonight in The Wizard of Oz! Grafton is eleven years old and is in the 5th grade at Regents. This is her seventh year at Regents and her third year in drama. In 2018, she played the role of “Michael” in Peter Pan, and last year she played “Shenzi” in The Lion King. Grafton enjoys playing soccer for Memphis Futbol Club and basketball for RSO. She also enjoys art, traveling, playing with her pets, and being with friends.
Emmy Byars (Crow; Ozian; Cat)
Emmy is in 3rd grade at Regents and is starring as a Cat and a Crow. She starred as Nana in the Peter Pan production. Emmy is a lover of animals and enjoys spending time with her family.
Tennyson Coker (Apple Tree; Scary Tree)
Tennyson is excited to return to the RSO stage as part of the cast of "The Wizard of Oz" This is her fourth year being a part of RSO drama club. Other RSO performances she has had the pleasure of performing include The Gruffalo (little sister), Peter Pan (Cookie the pirate), The Lion King (ensemble), and the Velveteen Rabbit (one of the children). Tennyson is in 4th grade and has been a student at RSO for 6 years. When she is not participating in drama, she loves cheering, playing, singing, her friends, and being home!
Taylor Byars (Apple Tree; Haunted Tree)
Taylor is in 5th grade at Regents and is starring as Apple Tree #3 and Ozian Ensemble. She began her acting career 2 years ago as Nibs in Peter Pan and then starred as Sarafina and a member of the Ensemble in the Lion King last year. In addition to drama, Taylor is an avid reader and a member of Regents archery team.
Caitlin Curry (Apple Tree; Haunted Forest)
Caitlin is a first year Regents student who is looking forward to many more great years here at Regents. Caitlin is 10 years old in the 4th grade and loves playing on the basketball team at Regents. This production of “Wizard of Oz” is Caitlin’s first, but definitely not last. Caitlin loves to sing and dance while being with her friends. Caitlin is appreciative of being able to bloom into herself while doing what she loves with people she loves.
Mems Morgan (Munchkin; Jitterbug)
Mems is beyond excited to be a part of the Wizard of Oz production. She was “bitten” last year after seeing The Lion King and participating in drama camp this summer with Mrs. Turner. Mems is 7 years old and is a 1st grader at Regents. Mems loves to dance and sing and she has also enjoyed being a part of many of the developmental sports offered at Regents. Mems loves playing with her friends and spending time with her family.
Molly Shirkey (Munchkin; Jitterbug)
Molly is thrilled to make her acting debut tonight in The Wizard of Oz. Molly is 6 years old and is a 1st grader at Regents. This is her 2nd year at Regents. She started drama this year and is loving it! Molly also plays soccer, basketball, swim and plans on playing softball in the spring. She also loves to tumble and play with friends.
Audrey Gallaher (Munchkin; Jitterbug)
Audrey is excited to be starring tonight as a "Munchkin" and a "Jitterbug" in The Wizard of Oz. Audrey is seven years old and is in the 1st grade. This is her third year at Regents and her first year in RSO drama. Audrey enjoys playing piano, soccer, spending time with family and friends, and she is also active in RSO developmental basketball and swim. Her church home is Grace Bible Church where she serves as a volunteer in the nursery.
Emerson Bell (Munchkin; Jitterbug)
Emerson is in first grade at Regents, and this is her second Regents Drama production. She was a cat in The Velveteen Rabbit at drama camp last summer, and she really enjoys singing, dancing, and acting. Emerson loves basketball, art, her dog Blue, and riding her bike.
Josie Messersmith (Munchkin; Jitterbug)
Josie is thrilled to be a part of the Munchkin and Jitterbug ensembles for The Wizard of Oz. She is excited to finally hit the stage tonight after years of watching from the audience! Josie is six years old and is in Mrs. Berry’s first grade class. Josie has been at Regents for three years and began her acting career this past summer when she played “Toy Lion” in the RSO Drama Camp’s production of The Velveteen Rabbit. Josie loves ballet, horses, riding her bike, board games, and playing basketball.
Price Graeber (Munchkin; Jitterbug)
Price is excited to be playing a Jitterbug and a Munchkin in tonight’s performance of The Wizard of Oz. Price is a first grader at Regents, and this is her first year to participate in drama. She is in her third year at Regents and is seven years old. Price enjoys art, soccer, and tennis but most of all loves being with her friends. She has a big heart and loves to hug, laugh, and sing!
Merritt Stubblefield (Munchkin; Jitterbug)
Merritt is excited to be a part of The Wizard of Oz this evening. She is six years old and in 1st grade at Regents. This is Merritt's second year at Regents and first year to participate in the drama program at school. Merritt enjoys ballet, singing, and playing with her sister.
Mimi Leach (Munchkin; Jitterbug)
Mimi Leach is a 1st grader, and is enjoying her first year in drama. Mimi is 7 years old, and this is her 4th year at RSO. She is constantly talking about her upcoming roles as a munchkin and a jitterbug, and could not be more excited about this production. When Mimi is not at Regents, she enjoys soccer, gymnastics and cruising on her hoverboard. Mimi attends North Oxford Baptist Church where she loves being a part of the children’s choir program.
Mary Beech Alias (Munchkin; Jitterbug)
Mary Beech is so excited to make her theatre debut as part of the Jitterbug and Munchkin ensemble in The Wizard of Oz. She is seven years old and in 1st grade. This is her third year at Regents and her first year to participate in drama. In addition to drama, Mary Beech also enjoys gymnastics, piano, tennis. She also participates in the Children’s Choir at Oxford University United Methodist Church.
Eva Miconi (Munchkin; Jitterbug)
Performing tonight in the Munchkin and Jitterbug Ensembles, Eva is excited for her first show with Regents Drama. She is a 6 year old first grader and is enjoying her third year at Regents – a school she loves. Away from the stage, Eva loves her family, her pets (two beagles and several fish), the Word, baking sweet treats, and exploring outdoors with family and at Camp Hopewell.
James Graeber (Munchkin; Doorman; Winkie Guard)
James is excited to be starring as the Doorman, Winkie Guard, and a Munchkin in tonight’s performance of The Wizard of Oz. James is nine years old and is in the 3rd grade at Regents. James is in his fifth year at Regents, and this is his first year participating in drama. He enjoys playing baseball and soccer, fishing, and playing his guitar. He also likes to watch sports, play with friends, and travel. He is fun and full of energy!
Gabe Pierce (Nikko)
Gabe is a 4th grader. This is his third year participating in Drama. Gabe enjoyed performing in Peter Pan, The Lion King and this year's production of the Wizard of Oz. Gabe loves anything involving a ball. He participates in travel soccer and is excited to try Lacrosse this spring. Gabe attends Christ Pres.
Clark Sorgenfrei (Munchkin; Winged Monkey)
Clark is in his first year participating in drama at Regents. Tonight he will be playing a ”Munchkin” and a ”Flying Monkey”. He is very excited for his stage debut! Clark loves being outside and playing any and all sports including soccer, baseball, and basketball. Whatever sport he is playing is his current favorite! He is also skilled at making up new games and playing them with his sisters.
Jack Lewis (Munchkin; Winged Monkey)
Jack is very excited to be participating in his first ever RSO drama as a winged monkey and a munchkin. Jack is in the first grade and is in his second year at Regents. He enjoys playing soccer, baseball, and golf. Jack is also very active in the Children’s Ministries at Christ Presbyterian Church of Oxford.
Thomas Barkley (Munchkin; Winged Monkey)
Thomas is thrilled to be a part of “The Wizard of Oz” performance. Thomas is 8 years old and is a 1st grader at Regents. He has enjoyed his first year in RSO drama. Thomas also plays soccer, baseball, tennis and football. Thomas is witty and learning about the world performing arts.
Paxton Sharp (Munchkin; Winged Monkey)
Paxton Sharp is a 1st grade student at Regents. He played a bunny in Regent’s 2019 summer production of The Velveteen Rabbit. He enjoys playing basketball and baseball. He also enjoys riding his bike and hoverboard and making his younger brother Levi laugh. He loves his family and Jesus with a passion.
Case Turner (Munchkin; Winged Monkey)
Case is six years old and is in the 1st grade. This is his first official production for Regents, but he will tell you otherwise. Case says he had his debut at RSO Drama Camp this past summer when he “aced” his role as the “Jack-in-the-Box” during The Velveteen Rabbit. He is thrilled to have two parts in The Wizard of Oz! You will see Case on stage as a Munchkin and later as a Flying Monkey! Case also enjoys playing OPC soccer and Upward basketball. He is active in the Children’s Choir at First Baptist Oxford, and really, he is just active in general! His favorite activity at the moment is talking to anyone and everyone about Ole Miss basketball and pretending for every second of his life that he is Breein Tyree!
