110 Stories Cast

Cary Sheih, Port Authority engineer (Peyton Barrett)
This is my seventh production with Eastbrook High School. The impact this had on the people directly involved and just how intense this tragedy is, we seem to gloss over every year really. I wanted to get an opportunity to tell someone's story, a real person who went through a devastating event.
Bolivar Arellano, staff photographer, New York Post (Karrlee Bradley)
This is my sixth production at Eastbrook High School. Many people view 9/11 as a one day tragedy. I would like for people to understand the severity of the rubble and how long the cleanup took. Many people chose to volunteer their time for many weeks after the initial attack, and saw so many horrendous things. I wanted to help spread the stories of the people involved in the 9/11 attacks.
Thomas, homeless man living in and alley|Glenn Jinks, telecommunications manager|Mom, New Yorker leaving voice-mails for her daughter (Jenna Cline)
This is my sixth production at Eastbrook High School. I hope that people come out of this production with a new skill set of acting techniques and reading more serious scripts in general.I wanted to join this production because I feel that people look at 9/11 and then try to make it "patriotic" when it isn't. I want to help tell the story of the people who actually experienced the attack on the Twin Towers. Being able to read the first-hand accounts will allow the real story to come through. It will allow people to realize that America was not the only place that was affected by the attack.
Terrence, homeless man living in an alley|Father Bob Deming, priest volunteering as Chaplain (Liam Dickey)
This is my fourth production with Eastbrook High School. I want people to take from this production a new understanding of the impact of 9/11, and the perspective of being there when it happened. I wanted to join this production to share this story, and experience the story with everyone.
Narrator (Jonah Falder)
This is my sixth production at Eastbrook High School. I wanted to join this production so people could watch this show to see how serious it was, and how much happened because of it. I wanted to join because I wanted to share the story with everyone.
Mitchell Peritz, chiropractor (Gracelyn Fletcher)
This is my fifth production at Eastbrook High School. How big this event really was. Kids at school were not there to know what happened and they should know how much of an impact this event made on people. These stories can help with that. I love theater and I love telling stories. And I think that this is a story worth telling.
Officer Hernandez, NYPD police officer|Michelle Wylde Williams, Salvation Army volunteer (Erin Glessner)
This is my sixth production with Eastbrook High School. I wanted to join this production because I wanted to help share this story, and peoples first hand experiences of 9/11. I want people to take from this production a deeper understanding of what real people went through 9/11; not only the day itself, but the long and exhausting cleaning processes and rescue effort.
Paul Adams, FDNY EMT (Josie Goble)
This is my eighth production with Eastbrook High School. 9/11 is more than a tragedy. It's also about the many who survived.I love that we're doing something serious and hard. It's interesting to think about the amount of people who survived 9/11. Getting to do the readers theater is also a great experience!
Garrett Fisher, heading to his job in the South Tower|Rescue Worker (as remembered) from Merlin Durhman's story (Sarah Johnson)
This is my third production at Eastbrook High School. I want to be able to learn the stories behind the people who actually lived through 9/11. I also want to dive deeper into the characters without having to remember blocking and memorizing lines. It is something I've never done before and history is one of my favorite things to learn about. So to be able to combine theater and history into one activity, my two favorite things, sounds like a perfect idea to me.
Karen Slade, looking for her son on 9/11 (Ellie King)
This is my sixth production at Eastbrook High School. This show is both dark and heavy, but also full of hope and joy. We are given the chance to celebrate the people who risked their lives and the people who spent weeks on the pile. This production is an amazing opportunity to dive into first-hand accounts of the 9/11 attacks and to celebrate the stories that we have the opportunity to share.
Susan Flis, licensed practical nurse (volunter) (Claudia McGinness)
This is my third production at Eastbrook High School. I want people to leave this production feeling inspired and amazed by the capacity for compassion and understanding that all humans hold. I wanted to join this production because I wanted the opportunity to take a closer look into the lives of people who experienced the horrors of 9/11 firsthand, and who were willing to tell their stories.
FF Don Casey, FDNY firefighter from Staten Island (Emma Neargardener)
This is my seventh production at Eastbrook High School. That while it was a day of great loss, it was also a day of survival, courage, and selflessness. I wanted a chance to be a part of the telling of these special and important stories and learn more about the events of that day.
Probationary FF Jason Cascone (Ian Neargardner)
This is my third production at Eastbrook High School. I want people to take what was not shown by the media and what these people saw first hand on 9/11. I wanted to share this production because I felt like this is something that needed to be shared.
Lillian, homeless woman living in an alley|Natalie Roundtree, licensed practical nurse (volunteer)  (Keona Owens)
This is my sixth production with Eastbrook High School. I want people to remember to not take life for granted and to show immense kindness day to day as we don't know what others around us have been through. Not very many history teachers talk about 9/11 as it was something they went through, so I find the opprotunity to not only learn through this production but also teach others my age about 9/11, a great way to honor those who have passed due to 9/11 and celebrate those who survived.
Ro Sheffe, Manhattan resident saving his bulldog|BJ (as remembered) from FF Don Casey's story (Madison Ratliff)
This is my fifth production at Eastbrook High School. I think that this production should and will give the audience a better understanding of what happened during and after 9/11. I wanted to join this production because I love theater and every opportunity to be in a show. I was also intrigued by this show.
Dr. Jim Snyder, child psychiatrist (volunteer) (Logan Ross)
This is my fourth production at Eastbrook High School. It is also a cool story that isn't told a lot and that I think can move a lot of people. I want them to take away that it is important to tell their persona; story and what they've been through no matter what it is. I joined this production because it is going to stretch me out of my comfort zone. Though it is a serious play I always enjoy being with the people and the rehearsals are fun!
Tony Esola, iron-worker from New Jersey (volunteer) (Charlie Steele)
I felt like this is something that needed to be shared. Charlie Steele- This is my sixth production at Eastbrook High School. I want people to feel the emotions that I felt when I first read the script. It includes eye opening first hand accounts that the media forgot about. I wanted to join this production because it seemed like a once in a lifetime show and I am proud to speak for the people who were in that horrible situation.
Merlin Durhman, firefighter and K9 handler|Elizabeth Gilbert, New Yorker and author (Carmela Turner)
This is my sixth production at Eastbrook High School. I want people to take from this production the concept that life is precious and that it is so crucial to make the most out of it while you still have the chance. Life is so fleeting and we should enjoy the opportunities we do get to experience. I think it is also significant to remember the people who helped serve after 9/11 and how all of those people sacrificed their time, safety, and health to help serve the community and assist others during such a significant time of loss and sorrow. I want to join the production because I feel like these stories are so, so important and significant and so many people in my generation don't really understand the true significance of what really happened on 9/11 and I think that sharing these stories is such a great way to inform people of what happened and how many lives were truly impacted.
