Monologue Mania: A Virtual Cabaret Cast

Jason Bustos (Performer)
is a Bay Area native who was last seen onstage as "Vice Principal Panch" in 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at Pacifica Spindrift Players. His work also includes "Mr. Mushnik" in LIttle Shop of Horrors, "Algernon Moncrieff" in The Importance of Being Earnest, and "Giles" in Mousetrap. Jason wants to thank his friends, his family, and all of those people who put up with his rehearsal schedule and his habit of slipping into accents at random times.
Melody Chen (Performer)
is incredibly excited to perform in Pacifica Spindrift Players' Cabaret! She's currently rehearsing for Lynbrook High School's virtual production of The Little Mermaid Jr. as Ursula, and is a current second semester senior at Lynbrook High School. She's been involved in theatre for three and a half years and hopes to continue for many more!
Sara K. Dean (Performer)
is thrilled to be making her Pacifica Spindrift Players debut. Favorite roles include Dora Bailey, Singin' in the Rain (BBBay, 2003); Essie Charmichael in You Can't Take it With You (Cañada College) and a showgirl in Will Rogers Follies (WVLO). She has worked in theater management with CMTSJ, SJRep and AMTSJ. She worked on Broadway as a Production Assistant for Disney's The Lion King, from pre-production through the Tony Awards. Sara is the Executive Director of South Bay Musical Theatre, and through the SBMT eStudio is keeping arts accessible virtually during the closures. Thanks to the PSP team for their creativity and dedication.
Kathy Domenici (Performer)
This marks Kathy’s eleventh production with PSP since she first became involved with the theater back in 1995. She had a blast performing with others from PSP in a Murder Mystery Dinner Theater at Nick’s Rockaway and gained experience doing staged readings with the group Barefoot Play Readers Repertory Theater Company. She has also appeared on stage with Crystal Springs Players and stays involved doing radio plays with Shoestring Radio Theater. Kathy quite recently retired from working as a flight attendant for Delta Airlines.
Cat Imperato (Performer)
is delighted to have an excuse to memorize lines again for the first time in over a year for Monologue Mania. She’s previously been seen at PSP in City of Angels (Aurora Kingsley), Gypsy (Rose), and Cabaret (Fraulein Kost); other favorite past roles include Rosie (Mamma Mia, RCCT) and Sarah (Company, CRT), and never expected her day job in health care to overlap with her theater life and role as PSP board member quite as much as it has in the past year. She’s grateful to everyone at PSP - and the entire Bay Area theatre community - for its dedication to finding innovative and safe ways to keep theatre alive during these crazy times.
Andrew Nguyen (Performer)
has been performing for local audiences for the past 5 years through high school and college theatre productions. He recently explored musical theatre and hopes to continue more in the future. His interest in singing and theatre empowers him to make a name of himself in the future, as well as fighting for Asian representation in the industry.
Joanie Pugh Newman (Performer)
is ecstatic to return to the stage in any form during this time of Coronavirus, and is delighted you’re joining our virtual audience for this special “dream role” event! Joanie is a long-time player with PSP, where her most recent pre-pandemic role was the iconic “Eulalie McKechnie Shinn” in the perennial classic Music Man. Joanie also enjoys performing at other area theaters, and has appeared at: WCT (“Mrs. Higgins” in My Fair Lady, for which she was nominated for a Theater Bay Area award); FMT (“Sister Berthe” in Sound of Music); RCCT (“Sister Mary Lazarus” in Sister Act); and BBB (“Sister Sophia” in the COVID-19 interrupted performance of Sound of Music). Joanie sends love and appreciation to her family, including the furry children.
Kim Seipel (Performer)
is beyond excited to work with PSP for the first time. She continues to develop her acting and vocal training through classes at Studio A.C.T (American Conservatory Theater). She loves to sing and play guitar and has performed in several open mic events in San Francisco. Kim thanks her daughter and husband for always supporting her artistic endeavors.
Jordana Wolf (Performer)
is terribly excited to be a part of the Dream Role Cabaret. She was last seen onstage as part of PSP’s Theatre in the Woods. Previously, she has performed at CRT as “Lucy Seward” in Dracula, and at PSP as “Ethyl Toffelmeir” in The Music Man, “Mary Jessup Greenhill” in It Can’t Happen Here, “Ensemble” in Heathers, “Puck/Philostrate” in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and as part of the Ensemble in My Fair Lady; she very nearly performed as “Estelle” in No Exit before COVID intervened. She directs the annual school play at the elementary school where she teaches.
