Friday Fright Night Cast

Jason Bustos (Sanger Rainsford)
is a Bay Area native who was last seen onstage as "Vice Principal Panch" in 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at Pacifica Spindrift Players. His work also includes "Mr. Mushnik" in LIttle Shop of Horrors, "Algernon Moncrieff" in The Importance of Being Earnest, and "Giles" in Mousetrap. Jason wants to thank his friends, his family, and all of those people who put up with his rehearsal schedule and his habit of slipping into accents at random times.
Marissa Clarke (Narrator)
is a Bay Area based actor with a long history in the theater. Recently, Marissa has appeared as Alice in B8 Theater’s production of Strange Ladies, Wendy in Awesome Theatre’s production of Never-Ever Land, and Irene Malloy in OnStage Theater’s production of The Matchmaker. Marissa is thrilled to make her premiere appearance with Pacifica Spindrift Players in this exciting Halloween staged reading!
Mae Linh Fatum (Narrator)
is so excited to be back to performing with PSP! She is even more excited to be able to do something creative during these crazy times. She was last on stage as Siobahn in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime (The Pear). Looking forward to treading the boards for real in the future, but happy to keep it safe!
Deborah Joves (Narrator)
gets her love of scary stories from her dad, who used to frighten his three daughters with dramatic tellings and his deep, evil laugh. Deborah has carried on the tradition with her daughters. When they were little, they would listen to Deborah read, sometimes standing between rooms, poised for flight but compelled to stay. Deborah has just finished a radio play, "Sorry, Wrong Number," at Coastal Rep, where she had the great joy of being murdered several times a weekend. Happy Halloween, all you ghouls out there!
Gary Pugh-Newman (General Zaroff; Jake)
feels blessed to have been involved with PSP for more than 10 years; a past Executive Board President, Gary currently serves on the PSP Artistic Committee, and has directed, acted, built (and moved) sets for numerous productions. Most recently, Gary has appeared in PSP productions of My Fair Lady (“Alfred Doolittle”) and Music Man (“Charlie Cowell”). Gary is looking forward to returning to directing and performing, and seeing you again, at PSP. In the meantime, he hopes you have a happy socially-distanced Halloween! Gary thanks Gray, Jamie, and Joanie for all their support over the years.
Joanie Pugh-Newman (Narrator; Old Woman)
is ecstatic to return to the stage in any form during this time of Coronavirus, and is delighted you’re joining our virtual audience for this special Halloween event! Joanie is a long-time player with PSP, where her most recent pre-pandemic role was the iconic “Eulalie McKechnie Shinn” in last Summer’s Music Man. Joanie also enjoys performing at other area theaters, and has appeared at: WCT (“Mrs. Higgins” in My Fair Lady, for which she was nominated for a Theater Bay Area award); FMT (“Sister Berthe” in Sound of Music); RCCT (“Sister Mary Lazarus” in Sister Act); and BBB (“Sister Sophia” in the COVID-19 interrupted performance of Sound of Music). Love to Gary, Gray, Jamie, Bailey & Rocko!
Jordana Wolf (Whitney; Johnson)
is terribly excited to be a part of this Halloween reading. Previously, she has performed at CRT as “Lucy Seward” in Dracula, and at PSP as “Ethyl Toffelmeir” in The Music Man, “Mary Jessup Greenhill” in It Can’t Happen Here, “Ensemble” in Heathers, “Puck/Philostrate” in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and as part of the Ensemble in My Fair Lady; she very nearly performed as “Estelle” in No Exit before COVID intervened. She directs the annual school play at the elementary school where she teaches.
