has been performing stand up as an out Gay man since the 1980s. As the "Mother of Gay Comedy" he started Gay Comedy Night at the Valencia Rose in San Francisco. Currently he is in a film about that time: "Stand Up, Stand Proud." He is the author of "Kiss My Gay Ass” and as an elected official he was voted the only politician that is intentionally funny.

By night, she is one of the Bay Area’s most popular comics. She was a semi-finalist in the San Francisco International Comedy Competition and received the “Stand Up For Justice” award for her work against the death penalty.

In 2017 Debi got the location in Golden Gate Park where Comedy Day is held officially changed to Robin Williams Meadow. She is very proud of this accomplishment. As a native San Franciscan she is also proud to be the official emcee for the SFMTA Cable Car Bell Ringing competition. This show is dedicated to her Sweet Baboo Will.
