About Super Happy Awesome News - A Virtual Production

Our Lady of Lourdes Drama Club is happy to present to you Super Happy Awesome News!, a virtual musical by Beat by Beat Press.  The story is about two siblings who launch rival good news networks and find themselves competing for the title of happiest news show. Soon, their correspondents are in a whirlwind of ecstatic musical reporting – from joyful weather forecasts, to cheerful cooking segments and blissful political updates! But, when vulnerability starts peeking through the euphoric facade, they’re left wondering: is there room for raw honesty on a super happy broadcast?

Our students have been practicing their parts at home this year due to COVID-19 and receiving virtual guidance and feedback from our Director Pam Lisotta, Student Director Nate Costantini and Assistant Student Director, Lilly Alonso.  Thanks to the amazing technical skills of our Producer Lisa Bairos and Production Assistant Katherine Costantini we have been able to put all of the individual performances together to make one amazing show.  We are also happy to report that we were able to get the cast together outside for a short time, and in accordance with COVID mitigation protocols, to produce a wonderful finale scene.  You will not be able to tell that it was the first time they had all been together.  Your purchase of a ticket will help cover the cost of production and fund projects in the future.  Please enjoy the show and keep our cast and crew in your prayers.
