Upper School Production of Antigone Cast

Simonne Lenseigne '22 (Antigone)
Simonne Lenseigne is a junior at Oakcrest School which she has attended since seventh grade. She has contributed to several theatre productions including working backstage, creating scripts for the annual five-minute plays, and performing as Sarah Calder (The Boxcar Children) as well as Professor Marvel/The Wizard (The Wizard of Oz). Since ninth grade, Simonne has been a contributor to the Oakcrest Cappies Team, where she viewed, deliberated, and critiqued shows from neighboring schools. In her free time, Simonne can be found babysitting or tutoring, organizing or decorating, and making home-made pizzas with her friends. She hopes you thoroughly enjoy this year's broadcasted version of Antigone! Remember, no Greek performance is complete without masks!
Addie Duncan '24 (Ismene)
Addison Duncan is a freshman at Oakcrest School and has been involved in Oakcrest theater for four years. Some of her notable roles include Violet in The Boxcar Children, Gretel in Hansel and Gretel, and Junie B. in Junie B. Jones, The Musical Jr. She also loved participating in the annual Shakespeare Monologue Competition. In her free time, she enjoys singing, playing the piano, practicing tennis and lacrosse, traveling with her family and performing with her younger sister. She aspires to be an actress on Broadway someday!
Annaliese Anderson '21 (Creon)
Antigone is Annaliese's first official Upper School show although she has been an active member of the Oakcrest Theatre community for the past seven years participating in the Shakespeare monologue competitions, ten-minute plays, and the Advanced Theatre courses. Her playwriting compadres have dubbed her the “philosophical dystopian” so, as you can imagine, she has greatly enjoyed working on Antigone. Enjoy the show!
Katiebelle Thompson '21 (Eurydice)
Katiebelle Thompson is a senior at Oakcrest. Her previous roles include the Wicked Witch in Wizard of Oz, evil Aunt Spiker in James And The Giant Peach, and a Bye Bye Birdie Fangirl. She has also cameoed in the Heights' production of Love's Labour's Lost as Lady Katherine. When not practicing her "Queen Walk'', Katiebelle enjoys writing for the Marine Biology Club website, Carcharodon, and exploring the great outdoors. Enjoy the show!
Zelie Anderson '24 (Haemon)
Zelie Anderson is a freshman at Oakcrest. Although this is her first play, she loves drama, fantasy, and performing arts and is thrilled to be part of Antigone. An aspiring guitarist, she enjoys music as well as cross country, hiking, travel, and everything outdoors.
Theresa McNulty '21 (Teiresias)
Theresa McNulty is a senior and has been in three productions at Oakcrest. Her favorite role was “munchkin” in The Wizard of Oz. She draws inspiration for her acting from Robert Pattinson, best known for his roles in Twilight, Twilight: New Moon, and most notably, Twilight: Eclipse. Theresa’s hobbies include writing, playing volleyball, and saying a quick prayer for those who need one.
Heidi Burke '24 (Boy)
Heidi Burke is the second child in a family of six. She has been in a number of theater productions including The Boxcar Children, Twelfth Night, 101 Dalmatians: The Musical, and Junie B. Jones: The Musical, Jr. She loves singing, music writing, script writing, and guitar. She also loves musical theater, rock climbing, tubing, and skimboarding. She has two dogs named Whiskey and Fergus.
Nora Hill '21 (Guard)
Nora Hill is a senior, and this is her sixth year involved in Oakcrest theater. She has previously acted in The Wizard of Oz, James and the Giant Peach, and Pocahontas as well as the Oakcrest 10-minute one act plays. In addition to her love of acting, she enjoys expanding her knowledge of music. She encourages anyone interested to join theater and wishes good luck to the rest of the cast and crew.
Ava Quaale '21 (Messenger)
Ava Quaale is a senior at Oakcrest and has actively participated in theater productions for the past eight years. This is her second performance with Oakcrest School. Some of her notable roles have been the fairy Fauna in Sleeping Beauty, Bert in Mary Poppins, the Scarecrow in The Wonderful Wizard of OZ, the Princess of France in Love’s Labor’s Lost, and ugly stepsister Frump in Cinderella. She also has competed in the annual Shakespeare Monologue Competition, making regionals in past years. In her free time she enjoys watching historical dramas, writing fiction, and listening to Billy Joel. This is her second performance with Oakcrest School.
Sarah Callahan '22 (Chorus Leader)
Sarah Callahan is a junior at Oakcrest School. Since arriving in 8th grade she’s acted in The Wizard of Oz and James and the Giant Peach, worked as a stage manager, green room monitor, props crew, and set painter, and been an Oakcrest Cappie. She wants to thank the cast, the set painting squad, and Dr O’Malley for their dedication and hard work.
Monica Beatty '24 (Chorus)
Monica Beatty is in the ninth grade and enjoying her third production with Oakcrest as a member of the Chorus. She has been in two previous productions for Oakcrest, including Benny in The Boxcar Children and the Owl in Hansel and Gretel. She loves getting to know all of her fellow actors and sharing many laughs with them. She also enjoys lacrosse, soccer, singing, and being the 10th of 11 children. Monica is very excited to perform in Oakcrest's production of Antigone!
Sofia Cipollone '23 (Chorus)
Sofia Cipollone is in tenth grade at Oakcrest, and she has been in two of Oakcrest's past performances. In sixth grade she was in The Velveteen Rabbit, and in eighth grade she was in Hansel and Gretel. Sofia has also helped backstage, working the lights for many of Oakcrest's other productions. She spends her time playing volleyball, hanging out with friends, and learning to play the guitar.
Meredith Klote '22 (Chorus)
Meredith Klote is a junior who has been participating in Oakcrest theatre for six years. Some of her past roles include Grasshopper in James and the Giant Peach, Jesse in The Boxcar Children, and Velveteen Rabbit in The Story of the Velveteen Rabbit. She would like to thank Dr. O’Malley and all of the cast and crew for their hard work on this production.
Sophia Miller '23 (Chorus)
Sophia Miller is a sophomore and has participated in Oakcrest's theatre program for the past five years. Antigone will be her seventh Oakcrest production. She has also made appearances as Henry in The Boxcar Children, Mother in Hansel and Gretel, and various roles in Oakcrest's one-act performances. Sophia is grateful for the show's amazing and talented cast and crew and can not wait to bring the tragedy Antigone to life alongside her fellow chorus members!
Ana Ucero '22 (Chorus)
Ana Ucero is a new junior at Oakcrest, having moved this past summer from Connecticut. She has previously been a singer/dancer in Singin’ in the Rain and a police officer in Arsenic and Old Lace. She enjoys designing spaces, skiing, reading historical fiction, acting, and above all traveling.
Aria Ullman '24 (Chorus)
Aria Ullman is a freshman and this is her first year at Oakcrest. Antigone is her first play but she is looking forward to performing in more productions in the future. She enjoys reading, playing piano, singing, playing soccer, and growing succulents.
Ana Paz '24 (Attendant)
Ana Paz is a freshman at Oakcrest. Antigone is the third Oakcrest production that she has been in. She enjoys theater as well as baking, reading, and spending time with her friends. She is excited to be part of Oakcrest's first performed Greek tragedy.
