THE LAND WHERE WE STAND was devised by students, with director Larissa Lury and stage manager Mike Wise. The show was filmed by CMI students last fall on the NMSU Campus and in Mescalero. In creating the piece, the team interviewed members of the NMSU community about their experiences on campus, interviewed members of the larger community in the region about their own relationships to this area, dug into the history of the university, and began imagining ahead. The show weaves together fictional scenes with live music, movement pieces, documentary and more. We are so excited to finally share this piece with you!
