Shrek The Musical Cast

Austin is grateful to have been offered such a role during his senior year. He has also been seen on MP stages in The Addams’ Family as Death and a deceased ancestor, in the HS Concert Band, pep band, marching band, and HS Choir. He hopes you enjoy the hard work of the cast, crew, and directors, and thanks Miss Roscovius for her patience, Miss McHugh for writing this biography for him, and both for their guidance.

Megan Berg is enjoying her third year being in the musical, and this year she will be playing the part of Fiona. She has been in both band and choir throughout school. She has also done solo and ensemble and went to state last year for her soprano solo. She is very excited to see where singing will lead her to in the future.

Danielle has been in Musical Theatre for all 4 years of her high school career. Her favorite musical she has done is Shrek, as it shows high school in a fairytale setting. Everyone is different in their own way!

Owen is in his second year of the musical. Outside of musical theatre, he enjoys activities like hunting and baseball.

Michaela is a junior at Mineral Point high school. This is her third year being in the musical. She has played a factory worker in the Pajama Game and played Alice in The Addams’ Family. She has been involved in choir and band all throughout school. She takes voice lessons from Leslie Damaso. She has competed in multiple music competitions. She would like to thank her family and friends for all of their constant love and support.

She is currently involved in band and choir, and has participated in solo-ensemble the past two years. Also, from sixth through eighth grade she worked and performed with The Platteville Children’s Choir.

Terry has had the pleasure of appearing in several musicals through the years at Mineral Point. The most memorable roles were probably Big Jule from Chicago in Guys and Dolls and the Wizard in The Wizard of Oz. He has always enjoyed working with the students on the musicals. Seeing the students working hard on the productions and displaying their many and varied talents, helps him to understand the students better and appreciate our Mineral Point High School community.

Sierra is a senior at Mineral Point High School. Other musicals she has been in include Annie and the Pajama Game. She is also a wrestling cheerleader and hopes to attend UW Platteville next fall to become an elementary school teacher.

Janet started her career at MP Schools in 2008 after working in a corporate environment for 23 years. Janet also has her own business, Janet's Painting 4-U, which she paints a variety of signs and other projects. Janet resides just outside of MP with her husband, Ted, and their daughters, Payton and Ivy. Her oldest daughter, Savannah, graduated from MPHS and currently studies at the UWPlatteville.

Daniel has lived in Mineral Point for his whole life. He is a freshman here at Mineral Point High School and he has never done anything serious with acting and Musical Theater. He likes being quirky and he likes to be on stage with his friends and peers.

She a freshman and is performing in her first musical, which she thinks is a lot of fun. Outside of musical practice and school, she enjoys playing sports and spending time with her friends and family.

Haakon is a senior this year, and participating in his 4th MPHS musical production. Next fall, he intends to study neuroscience or biochemistry on a pre-Med track, but is unsure of where. Haakon also intends to continue his involvement with music in college either with a marching band or a cappella group. He would like to thank the directors, fellow cast members, friends, and family for all they have done to support him in his past few years of musical performances.

Samantha is a Senior in high school. She has been in the theater program every year of her high school career, participating in Annie, The Pajama Game, The Addams’ Family, and now Shrek. She plans to attend college at Northern Michigan University with an undeclared major.

Sage, a sophomore, recently open enrolled to the Mineral Point High School from Highland. Previously, she has performed in Beauty and the Beast, Annie, Hairspray, and Bugsy Malone. She is excited to perform with this year’s cast of Shrek the Musical as a Teen Fiona, Dragonette, a Blind Mouse, and Third Little Pig. Sage is also in choir, band, and soccer. When she is not busy with her after-school activities she helps on her parent’s dairy farm.

Deb Soper teaches sixth grade at the Mineral Point Middle School. She thinks her students probably find her role as "GRUMPY" fitting.

Cecilia is enjoying her first high school musical, and her parts include two of her favorite things: singing and dancing. She is currently singing in high school choir and she has been singing in school and dancing in ballet since 4 years old. She loves sitting in her room, singing and dancing to all music. When she was little, she loved to sing with her mother whenever they were at church, it was so nice to hear all the people of the church singing together as one.

teaches science in the high school.  He last appeared on stage in 1988 for his high school's production of "Fiddler on the Roof".  He is very humbled to be a part of such a talented group of people, and proud to be a member of the cast.

Morgan is a sophomore at Mineral Point High School. She is playing the roles of Queen Lillian, Rat Tapper, Duloc Dancer, and Witch. For extra-curriculars, Morgan is actively involved in FFA, choir, and softball. Outside of school, she manages her herd of Shorthorn cattle that are on her farm. Morgan is excited to be performing in her second musical performed by the Mineral Point High School Musical Theater.

Brianna is a senior this year. She has done the musical all four years of high school including Annie, The Pajama Game, The Addams’ Family, and this year Shrek. She would like to thank her family, friends, cast, the pit, directors, light crew, and everybody else that has encouraged her throughout her high school career. I hope you enjoy this year's production!

She is a sophomore in high school and this is her second year of doing the musical. She was in The Addams’ Family last year and it was so much fun! In her free time, she enjoys spending time with all her family and playing a bunch of games. Enjoy the show!

She has previously participated in 3 other musicals, Narnia, Seusical Jr., & Wizard of Oz.  This is her first musical at Mineral Point High School.  Her role is Humpty Dumpty and Duloc Dancer. She is excited for you to see the show!

Rita is a freshman at Mineral Point high school. Although she has done skits through Odyssey of the Mind, this will be her first play with the musical theater program. She enjoys soccer, writing, and watching Netflix in her time away from school.
