Young Frankenstein Cast

Brandon Joseph (Dr. Frederick Frankenstein)
IT’S ALIVE!!! The final curtain call and bitter-sweet culmination of this musical journey has arrived as this is Brandon’s fourth, and final musical performance at Malverne High School. He played Donkey in Shrek the Musical (2015), Tony in West Side Story (2016), and Emmett Forrest in last year’s Legally Blonde. He is also the Tenor Section Leader and National Anthem Co-Conductor in the award-winning MHS Select Choir. He is a member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society, Co-President of the Thespian Society, Set Crew, Concert Choir, Mixed Chorus, and Talent Show. He was a Visual Performer in the “Pride of Malverne” Marching Band’s show “Unto The Breach” as King Henry V. Brandon participated in the 2016 All-County Division IV, 2017 & 2018 All-County Division V Choirs. He won the "Outstanding Vocalist" Award in the 2015 Music in the Parks Competition at Busch Gardens. Brandon did the Broadway Triple Threat Musical Theatre Intensive He will also be singing in the ACDA All-Eastern Honor Choir.
Messiah Bright (The Monster)
Messiah is thrilled for his second year in the school musical. Previously, he performed the roles of Kyle and Dewey in last year’s production of Legally Blonde. Messiah is a member of the Concert Choir, Select Choir and the Tri-M Music Honor Society. Although it’s bittersweet knowing he will not be in any future high school musicals, Messiah feels like a big part of the musical family- a bond that will be there forever. “Join the family business and come see us make the world afraid!”
Ta'Fari Simpson (Igor)
Ta'Fari is excited to be a part of this year's musical production of Young Frankenstein . This is his third performance in Malverne High School’s musical program. He was in Legally Blonde (Professor Callahan/Grandmaster Chad) and West Side Story (Action). Ta'Fari has been involved in MHS Select Choir, Concert Choir, and the Malverne Varsity Lacrosse Team. He wishes the best of luck to all his fellow cast members and hopes that you'll enjoy the show!
Olivia St. John (Inga)
Olivia is so excited to play Inga in this year’s production of Young Frankenstein! Previously, she was in Shrek the Musical, West Side Story, and Legally Blonde. She even got to be a “Who” in Seussical the Musical when she was in fifth grade. Olivia is a member of the “Pride of Malverne” Marching Band, Select Choir, Tri-M Honor Society, and Thespian Society. Outside of the music department, she is a member of the National Honor Society and Varsity Softball team. Olivia has had so much fun and made so many memories while being a part of each production and she hopes you enjoy the show!
Isabel McMahon (Elizabeth)
Isabel is very excited to be playing Elizabeth Benning in this years’ production of Young Frankenstein. Isabel performed in Malverne High School’s 2015 production of Shrek the Musical as Baby Bear; the 2016 production of West Side Story as Anybodys; and the 2017 production of Legally Blonde as a sorority sister. Isabel has also marched with the “Pride of Malverne” Marching Band Color Guard for the past four years, and was a co-captain of Malverne's 2016 Winter Ensemble. Isabel was selected to participate in the 2016 All-County Mixed Chorus and the 2018 Treble Choir. Isabel sings soprano in the Select Choir and Concert Choir. Isabel wishes the best of luck to the rest of her cast mates in Young Frankenstein.
Kyrah Michael (Frau Blucher)
Kyrah is very honored to be in this year's production of Young Frankenstein. Kyrah has been in Malverne's spring productions since her freshman year as the Witch in Shrek the Musical (‘15), Shark Girl in West Side Story (‘16), and Vivienne in Legally Blonde (‘17). Kyrah has performed in NYSSMA. She has also performed in Division IV and V Mixed Choir, as well as the Women’s Choir in the All-County Festival. In school, she sings in the Concert Choir and is a member of the Select Choir. Kyrah has also been a member of the "Pride of Malverne" Marching Band Color Guard for all four years of high school. Kyrah loves to perform and is very excited to play Frau Blucher. It is bittersweet, as she is so grateful to be a part of this school district that introduced and helped her grow her passion for musical theatre. Over the last four years she has made many friendships with other students who love theatre just as much as she does. Young Frankenstein is an amazing show that will make you laugh!
Daniel Parfait (Inspector Hans Kemp)
Daniel has been part of the Malverne musical family since 2011. He’s a member of Mixed Chorus, Concert Choir, Select Choir, the “Pride of Malverne” Marching Band, Tri-M Music Honor Society and the Thespian Society. Additionally, Daniel has performed at the NYSSMA Festival, and was selected for the All County Music Festival. He has also been backstage, as curtains for Stars on Broadway (8th grade). He played Chino in West Side Story, and both Nikos and Sundeep in last year’s Legally Blonde. Daniel is just one of the many students who cover everything within the music department and has an abundance of passion for what he does.
Jared Motley (Harold the Hermit)
Jared has returned for his fifth musical at MHS. You may have seen him in Seussical the Musical, Shrek the Musical, West Side Story and Legally Blonde. He was also in Howard T. Herber’s productions of Stars on Broadway. Jared is in both Concert and Select Choir . Jared has also taken part in the NYSSMA Solo Music Festival for the last three years. Jared has performed with the All County Mixed Chorus for the last three years. Jared has been selected to perform in the ACDA All-Eastern Mixed Chorus. Jared is in the Tri-M Music Honor Society, the National Honor Society, and the International Thespian Society. Jared is currently Co-President of the Malverne Chapter.
Eric Hartley (Victor Frankenstein)
Eric is very excited for this year’s performance of Young Frankenstein. This is Eric’s third high school performance. He was Young Shrek in Shrek the Musical and Mr. Woods in Legally Blonde. He is a tenor in the Mixed Chorus and phenomenal Select Choir. In addition, he will be performing a NYSSMA solo this May. He hopes the audience will want to “Join the Family Business” and to enjoy the show.
Santino Maione (Ziggy, Villager)
Santino is happy to be returning to the Malverne HS Musical! His freshman debut as Carlos in Legally Blonde proved to be an experience to remember. He's currently a tenor in Mixed Chorus. He is also enjoying his second year in Select Choir. Santino’s excellent NYSSMA performance, last spring, qualified him to participate in the All-County Chorus this year. In December he was inducted into the Tri- M Music Honor Society. Outside of performing he is an active member and a founding leader of the MHS Media Club as well as a Basketball Player for the GOBL.
Vincent Ferguson (Herald, Villager)
Vincent is a musical enthusiast with a strong passion for theatre and the arts. This is Vincent's first performance in a musical production. Their love of Broadway productions such as Cats, Little Shop of Horrors, and The Lion King have led to their desire to join the Malverne Thespian Society. Vincent hopes everyone enjoys the show!
Carly Manza (Woman Villager, Tap Dancer, Ensemble)
Carly is so excited to be in this year’s production, Young Frankenstein! Carly played Brooke Wyndham in last year's production Legally Blonde and also played Velma in West Side Story. She is a member of the “Pride of Malverne” Marching Band Color Guard, where she performed in "Twist of Fate" as a soloist, "From Solstice to Equinox," and "Unto the Breach", where you may have seen her dancing on top of a castle with King Henry . Carly is in the Winter Guard and plays a featured role in “Praying". Carly has been dancing since she was 2 years old and received a scholarship at Dance Workshop, where she performs and competes with the Senior Company. She also attends Long Island High School for the Arts through BOCES. Carly dreams of being a Radio City Rockette and will audition once she turns 18. She plans on joining spring track this year and will be inducted into the National Society for High School Scholars and National Dance Honors Society. Carly hopes you enjoy the show and have fun!
Christopher Jean (Villager 1, Ensemble)
Chris is elated to be a part of this year’s musical Young Frankenstein. He has participated in theater since he was in middle school. He was also in West Side Story and Legally Blonde. Christopher performed in the All County Chorus twice, and was a featured soloist during the 2015 HTH Moving Up Ceremony. He is a member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society and the National Honor Society. After months of practice and preparation, IT’S ALIVE! Enjoy the show!
Halle Akaeze (Villager 2, Ensemble)
Halle is thrilled to be in Young Frankenstein this year. She has performed in Stars on Broadway at the Middle School, and performed in the High School’s production of Legally Blonde last year. Halle was selected for the All County Division IV Chorus this year as a soprano. She is a member of the Girls Club, Black Studies/World Cultures Club, Book Club, Select Choir and the Malverne Varsity Tennis Team. Halle is extremely excited to be a part of the musical this year and hopes that you enjoy the experience!
Ra'Dae Teachey (Villager 3, Purser, Ensemble)
RaDae is very excited to be in this year’s production of Young Frankenstein. This is his fourth and final performance at Malverne High School. He has previously performed in Shrek the Musical, West Side Story, and Legally Blonde. He is currently a member of Select Choir, Concert Choir, Stage Crew, Tri-M Music Honor Society, and Thespian Society. RaDae also performed in the All-County Music Festival as a freshman. He will be performing at the NYSSMA Solo Festival for a fourth consecutive year. RaDae also plays varsity football and spring track. He also manages to be the Vice President for the Black Studies Club, and the Vice President of the class of 2018. RaDae wishes all his fellow cast members and musicians good luck in this year’s musical and future endeavors.
Camille Cunningham (Villager 4, Octet, Mad Scientist, Masha)
Camille is very excited to be in this year’s production of Young Frankenstein. She played Teen Fiona in Shrek the Musical, featured as Elphaba in Stars on Broadway , and played Pilar in Legally Blonde. Camille participated in Malverne’s talent shows and is a member of Select Choir. She sang in Harmony Chorus, has performed in several NYSSMA festival, is a part of a dance team and is in the youth choir at her church. Camille looks forward to show time and wishes the best to her fellow cast members and musicians.
Keilan Blodgett (Villager 5, Basha, Ensemble)
Keilan is very excited to be in the production of Young Frankenstein. Keilan is has been in Shrek the Musical, West Side Story and Legally Blonde. She is also in the Select Choir and Concert Choir. Keilan loves to perform and act alongside her friends and is very excited for you all to see the production.
Cristian Jones-Wronge (Octet, Student 1, Ensemble)
Cristian is very excited to perform in this years’ musical Young Frankenstein. Cristian played Pepe in West Side Story and Aaron Schultz in Legally Blonde. He is also a member of the Thespian Society, Concert Choir and Select Choir. Cristian also frequently performs in Malverne High Schools’ Talent Shows. Being in musical theater has been a great experience for Cristian, where he has established lifelong friendships and grown greatly as a person. Although he will miss all the joy, frustration, and laughter each show bring, he is sure that the future holds great things.
Demetri Bountouvas (Student 2, Mordecai, Bob, Ensemble)
This is Demetri’s second year performing in the high school musical. In addition to being in the musical, he is also a member of the “Pride of Malverne” Marching Band and the Varsity Lacrosse team. Demetri is excited for you to see the show and hopes you enjoy it!
Oluwaseun Ajirotutu (Student 3, Octet, Tap Dancer, Ensemble)
This is Seun's third performance in the high school musical at Malverne. Seun is a part of the Black Studies Club. Seun has performed in the NYSSMA Festival seven times. She also starred as a dance captain in Stars on Broadway in 7th and 8th grade. Seun was selected for this year’s All County Division V Festival on the Euphonium. She is a member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society, National Honor Society, and Thespian Society. She plays the baritone in the “Pride of Malverne” Marching Band and was on the flag line in Malverne's Winter Guard in 2016. Seun is an alto in Select Choir. She plays volleyball and runs track. To all involved in Young Frankenstein: Break a leg!
Justin Berry (Mr. Hilltop, Ensemble)
This is Justin’s third musical that he will perform in. He was a member of the ensemble in the musicals Legally Blonde and West Side Story. Justin is also in the Tri-M Music Honor Society. Outside of the musical, Justin is also an athlete who plays in football, winter and spring track. Justin is glad to share this show with you and hopes you have a wonderful time. Break a leg!
Gabrielle Monogioudis (Telegraph Boy, Mad Scientist, Tasha)
Gabby is super excited to be performing in this year’s production of Young Frankenstein. Gabby performed in Malverne's productions of Legally Blonde, West Side Story, and did spotlight for Shrek The Musical. She has marched in the “Pride of Malverne” Color Guard as captain, is one of the Winter Guard Captains, is a soprano in Malverne's Select Choir and concert choir, and is a member of the Malverne Mechanical Mules. She is also involved in softball and various other activities in Malverne. Gabby can't wait for everyone to see the show, and is excited to end her senior musical with a bang. She would like to wish good luck to all her fellow cast mates and can't wait to put on a great performance. Come on and “Join the Family Business”!
Christian Rodriguez (Steward, Ensemble)
Christian has a passion for music which shows through the many extracurricular activities that he participates in. From the HTH Stars on Broadway and the MHS production of Legally Blonde, his love of music and performing shows through. He is also a dedicated member of his band “Fits Thee Description”, where he is the lead singer and lead guitarist.
Nya Smalls (Seeing-Off Woman, Tap Dancer, Ensemble)
This is Nya’s fourth and final year involved in the high school musical at Malverne. Nya is a part of the Girls Club, Thespian Society, and Black Studies Club. She also plays volleyball and lacrosse. Nya received the All-Conference Award for volleyball this year as well. Nya is also in the “Pride of Malverne” Marching Band, where she led the trumpet section to the dome. Nya wishes all involved to break a leg and wishes good luck to every future student in the musical program.
Doreeha Orelien (Seeing-Off Woman, Tap Dancer, Ensemble)
Doreeha has been involved with Malverne’s musical theater program for 5 years. She performed in Stars on Broadway her eighth grade year, did costume crew for Shrek the Musical and West Side Story her ninth and tenth grade year, was in the cast of Legally Blonde as a junior, and is now in the cast of Young Frankenstein. Doreeha plays the alto saxophone and is a member of the “Pride of Malverne” Marching Band. She also plays soccer, is a cheerleader, and plays lacrosse. She is active in many clubs as well. Doreeha is very excited to be a part of her last high school musical on stage. She is very proud of her talented peers and how much this department has grown. She hopes that this production is a success and is enjoyed by those who come see it.
Kristen Muniz (Octet, Sasha, Ensemble)
This is Kristen’s second high school production. She has performed in Malverne musical theater program for 4 years. Kristen performed in Stars on Broadway in middle school and was Serena in last year’s production of Legally Blonde. She is also in the Tri-M Music Honor Society, Select Choir, Mixed Chorus, and has performed at the All-County Music Festival. Kristen wishes all her fellow cast members a memorable performance.
Josue Hernandez (Octet, Student, Ship Crew, Ensemble)
Josue is very enthusiastic about this year's performance, Young Frankenstein. This is his first and unfortunately last musical at Malverne, but he is happy to be a part of the show. He is proud to be a member of the Concert Choir, Select Choir, a NYSSMA Festival performer, First Robotics and hopes to play Varsity Baseball. Have fun everyone!
Isaac Augustin (Student, Ship Crew, Ensemble)
Isaac is participating in his first musical. He is new to the district and is looking forward to more music experience while he’s in Malverne.
Jasmine Ma (Tap Dancer, Ensemble)
Jasmine is excited to perform in her first Malverne musical production. Jasmine contemplated auditioning for West Side Story and Legally Blonde. After watching both astounding performances and regretting her decision, Jasmine has finally auditioned for Young Frankenstein. Jasmine played the piano for five years and plays the flute in the “Pride of Malverne” Marching Band, where she is the section leader. She has performed a NYSSMA Solo on both piano and flute multiple times. Jasmine has been dancing (jazz, ballet, and tap), for ten years, since the age of seven. Her passion for dance is executed throughout the numbers. She is an active member of the National Honor Society and Vice President of the Class of 2019. Jasmine is grateful to have met a talented group of people to perform with. She thanks the set crew, backstage crew and parents who have helped with the production and wishes everyone the best of luck!
Renee Wilson (Tap Dancer, Ensemble)
Renee is very excited to be in her second musical production, Young Frankenstein, at Malverne High School. Outside of the musical, Renee has participated in the “Pride of Malverne” Marching Band, and is currently in the Robotics Team, Black Studies Club, Creative Writing, and Community Service. Renee has had experience in the drama industry. She was in Stars on Broadway for all three years of middle school and has starred in several of her churches’ Rhema Theater Productions. Her acting ambitions began when she played the 1st narrator in elementary school, she knew after that performance that this is something she would want to do. Renee has grown a close connection to this year’s musical, Young Frankenstein. For example, singing during class and showing others some of the dance moves! She wishes everyone a lovely performance and that you enjoy the show!
Jonathan Hernandez (Octet, Ensemble)
Jonathan is extremely excited to be on stage as a villager this year. Jonathan previously was part of backstage crew in Legally Blonde. He is extremely involved in the music program, as a member of The “Pride of Malverne” Marching Band, is a bass in Select Choir, does Musicians with Distinction, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, and is a member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society. Jonathan performed with the 2015 Honor Band Festival as a tenor saxophone player, performed at the NYSSMA Festival in 2016 and 2017, LIU Post Band Festival in 2017 as a tubist and All-County Mixed Chorus in 2018. He has been selected to perform with the 2018 ACDA All-Eastern High School Honor Choir on March 7-10 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Jonathan is extremely excited to be a part of this production and wishes everyone good luck!
Nicole Sangeniti (Ensemble)
Once again, Nicole has made her way onto the stage in her second Malverne production. You may have seen her in last year’s musical Legally Blonde, but Nicole is a familiar face on the Malverne stage. She takes part in multiple musical activities, including singing soprano in the MHS Concert Choir and soprano in the MHS Select Choir. Even when she was younger, she made music an important aspect to her life, including participating in the Joyful Noise Choir. Not only will you find Nicole on stage, but also on the volleyball court playing Junior Varsity Volleyball, Winter Track throwing Shot Put and on the field playing Junior Varsity Softball. Nicole is a high academic achiever, as she is a consistent high honor roll student. Coherent to that, she is a member of the Thespian Society. Nicole is very blessed to be a part of the cast this year and she wishes the best of luck to her fellow cast members. She will continue to show her passion for musical theater and cannot wait for you to see!
Diandra Francis (Ensemble)
Diandra is so happy to be participating in her first musical! She previously performed in Stars on Broadway at Howard T. Herber Middle School. Diandra is a member of the Mixed Chorus and the Varsity Cheerleading Team. She has loved being with this cast and looks forward to performing in the Malverne musical for years to come!
