Artistic Director

Anton Bucher

Mr. Bucher is the Artistic Director of LSHS RIOT Theatre, and a lifeguard in his spare time. When he is not makin' sure that all the bros are safe in the waves, he enjoys directing plays and teaching students that THEATRE IS LIFE.

Mike Grant

Mike Grant has been enjoying a successful career as a high school choir director since graduating from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 1996 with a degree in Instrumental and Vocal Music Ed. He is in his first year as the director of the choral program at LSHS, having taught in NE, FL and CO in addition to TX. This is his 12th high school musical to direct vocals for.

Tim Hickman

Mr. Tim Hickman is entering his 14th year of Music Education in Texas as the newly appointed Assistant Band Director of Lone Star High School. Prior to Lone Star High School, he was employed as the Graduate Teaching Assistant at Texas A&M University – Commerce from 2017-2019. He has performed professionally with groups such as The Mesquite Symphony Orchestra, Odessa/Midland Symphony Orchestra, Odessa College Concert Band, Odessa College Jazz Band and the Magic Time Machine Funk Band out of Austin and Dallas Summer Musicals.

Delaney Waco

Delaney Waco is currently a junior. This is her 3rd year in tech theater and Les Miserables is her second show. Delaney maintains a busy schedule with Varsity Cheerleading, National Honors Society, and multiple community service events. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and walks with her Goldendoodle, Ginger.

Alex Casida is a freshmen at Lone Star high school. This will be her second production with RIOT theatre and her first musical. Alex enjoys the behind the scenes aspect of being a assistant stage manager, like she was in Amadeus, and hopes to continue on in the RIOT theatre community.

This is Sophia's 7th production and 2nd at Lone Star. She is currently a freshmen at Lone Star High School and is excited to be assistant stage manager for this musical .

Morgan is a senior at LSHS and she is SO excited for her last mainstage show! This is Morgan's 7th show with RIOT Theatre. In her freetime, Morgan enjoys long walks around Target, snuggles with her dog, and Tik Tok. She wants to thank her parents for always pushing her to be the best version of herself she can be. This is Kayla’s last show with RIOT Theatre, as she is a senior this year. She adores her theatre program and hopes to continue theatre in the near future. She’d like to thank Mr. Charron and Mr. Bucher for all the amazing opportunities they’d given her the last four years. Look mom I made it!

This is Noah's 7th show at Lone Star and this one is by far his favorite. He was the designer of the set and one of the main people who built it. He would like to thank his friends and family for being very supportive of what he loves to do (Theatre). He is also very thankful for the beautiful show and family we have created in RIOT theatre. Ella Keck is a freshman doing her first play at Lone Star. She is also a volleyball player and hoping to go into pediatric medicine. Ella loves to go see musicals at DSM with her family. Her favorite musicals are Hamilton and Miss Saigon. Ella enjoys reading and hanging with friends in her spare time.

Jennifer Macler is a freshman at Lone Star Highschool and is apart of tech theater for Les Mis. She previously played in Lone Stars pit for Amadeus and is excited to continue to be part of Lone Star’s theater.

Evan H. Frewin enjoys all aspects of theater, both on stage as a performer and behind the scenes in technical support. Awarded a UIL Medal for Best Crew in 2019, Evan is honored to be a part of this, his first production with LSHS. Evan steadfastly remains devoted to all causes relating to bears, beets, and Battlestar Galactica.
