From Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich, the creators who brought you Dear Edwina and Dear Edwina JR., comes Junie B. Jones The Musical JR. – a delightful adaptation of four of Barbara Park's best-selling books, brought to life in a delightful adaptation created specifically for Broadway Junior performers. 

Join Junie B. on her first day of first grade, where many changes are in store: Junie's best friend Lucille has found new best friends - and Junie B. makes friends with Herb, the new kid at school. While in Mr. Scary's class Junie has trouble reading the blackboard - and she may need glasses. Add in a friendly cafeteria lady, an intense kickball tournament and a "Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal," and first grade has never been more exciting.

Since our first production, Guys and Dolls, Jr. in 2014, Katherine L. Albiani Theatre Company has put on an after school musical every year. This year, we are proud to present Once On This Island Jr. October 23-25 that we'll take to JTF West in February 2019. (Last year we earned Excellence in Ensemble for our performance of The Pirates of Penzance Jr..)  In 2015-2016, we added a Musical Theatre class to our Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) elective offerings and added a show that is cast and rehearsed almost entirely during our sixth period class.  Our program has grown so much, we are doing two Musical Theatre classes this year!  We're proud to present Aladdin Jr.  December 13-15, and Junie B. Jones The Musical Jr. May 9-11, 2019. Additionally, we offer our four middle school Puzzle Play, Shakespeare in the Quad: As You Like It on April 12, and two VAPA Nights on November 30 and May 3.
