Sally Brown (Kailey Green)
Kailey is very excited to be playing Sally Brown in this production of “You’re a good man, Charlie Brown”! This is her first year and show here at Kansas City Kansas Community College, but not her first time stepping onto stage. Some characters she's played are The Cowardly Lion in “The Wizard of Oz”, all the way to Clarke in the virtual musical, “Killer Party.” She is forever grateful to the amazing cast, crew, and especially the director Cinnamon Schultz for this great opportunity, as well as everyone who helped along the way (Cori Hastings,Val Mackey, Hilary Morton and every theatre & choir teacher since Day 1) . With that being said, her ‘new philosophy’ is hoping you enjoy tonight’s show!
Lucy Van Pelt (Alena Riley)
Alena Riley will be portraying the character of Lucy Van Pelt in “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.” You might have last seen Alena in All in the Timing or Twisted Tales of Poe. She is so honored to be working with the lovely director, Cinnamon Schultz, once again and to be working with such a talented cast and crew. It has been such a fun experience, even during such a hard time in the theatre community. She would like to thank her family and friends for being so supportive and especially Cinnamon for teaching her everything that makes her the actor she is today. She would also like to thank her boyfriend and stage manager for putting up with her constant rehearsing outside of the theatre. Alena hopes you genuinely enjoy the show and can see all the hard work that was put into it!
Linus Van Pelt (Samuel Burleson)
Samuel is excited to be portraying Linus Van Pelt in this production of You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown. This is Samuel’s first production and year at KCKCC, but he hopes to participate in many more during the rest of his time in the theatre program. He has been seen on other stages in roles that range from a donkey in the woods to a man with a mullet. He is excited to be bringing this energy and experience into his current role. Sam would like to thank his mother for always being his motivation and his best friend Rae for always practicing with him.
Snoopy (Katie Kreutzjans)
Kaitlyn Kreutzjans is a theatre major at KCKCC. The last time you saw her was when she played... an ape?!?! Yup, that's right! She was writing Hamlet, throwing peanuts and much more in All In The Timing, and enjoyed every second of it! While she loves straight plays, she is exhilarated to be in another musical at KCKCC! She'd like to thank her mom and sisters for always believing in her, and Cinnamon for this amazing opportunity!
Schroeder (Zachary Stoddard)
Zachary is a first year theatre student at KCKCC and is excited to be working towards his goal of becoming a high school theater teacher. Though this is his first show at KCKCC, he isn't new to being on the stage. In fact, he has been doing theater for five years and achieved the Five Star Thespian rank in high school. Some favorite past roles include Lurch in The Addams Family Musical, Ernest Worthing in The Importance of Being Ernest, and the peddler Ali Hakim in Oklahoma! In addition to performing on the stage, Zach loves spending his free time working on musical covers and skits for his Youtube channel, Stodman Entertainment. He is very grateful to have a loving family to support him through his theater endeavors, as well as previous choral and theater directors Lauren Suchy, Laura Peden, and Tim Hoffman, who have helped him come a long way over the last five years.
The Blanket (Kyn Johnson)
Kyn is ecstatic to be assistant directing their second show and to be working with Cinnamon and these amazing students again. They were thrilled to have the chance to work as the assistant director on All In The Timing and as the stage manager for The Actor’s Nightmare during last school year. This show also serves as Kyn’s stage debut, and they are so glad to be able to take on this once in a lifetime role of a dancing blanket. While not at school, Kyn has been lucky enough to work with KC Public Theatre and Musical Theatre Heritage to help further their love and knowledge of the theatre world. Kyn would like to thank this awesome cast and crew for making this show such a great experience and their family and friends for all of their support.
