Jennifer Alexander (Miss Fleming)
Jennifer Danielle Alexander (Miss Fleming) is delighted to be making her debut with Erase Hate Through Art. Jennifer was recently seen as the Maid by the Fire in Jesus Christ Superstar, Sophie in Valentine’s Day, and Dan and the Snake in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. She enjoys working both behind and in front of the camera for commercial work, PSA’s, television shows, and shorts. Jennifer graduated from UMCP with a double major in Theatre Performance and Hearing and Speech Science, and has recently returned to school to become a paramedic.
Jillian Arnold (Stoner)
Jillian Arnold (Stoner Chick/Dance Captain) is excited for her first production with EHTA. Jillian has performed with a variety of theaters across Baltimore .When she’s not at rehearsals, Jillian spends her time with her family: her amazing, supportive husband Dillon, and her beautiful little boys, Grayson and Jacob. She thanks her family for putting up with demanding rehearsal schedules and for their never-ending love and support. She also thanks Ed, Kristin, and Andrew for allowing her to be a part of this amazing show with such a powerful message.
Lucy Blumberg (Ensemble)
Lucy Blumberg (Ensemble) is delighted to make her debut with Erase Hate Through Art. Since studying Theatre at Frostburg State University, some of her local work includes a Leper Soloist in Jesus Christ Superstar at Third Wall Productions and the role of Queen Lillian in Shrek the Musical at Dundalk Community Theater
Sarah Burrall (Goth Chick)
Sarah Burrall (Goth Chick) is the New Choral Director at Matapeake Middle School in Queen Anne’s County. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Education from Salisbury University. Sarah recently made her international debut with the Assisi Performing Artists program in Assisi, Italy as a soloist in Vivaldi’s Gloria, and as Mercedes in scenes from Bizet’s Carmen. She performed in numerous productions with the Musical Theater Workshop, the Opera Workshop and Theater Ensembles at Salisbury University.
Derek Cooper (Preppy Stud, Big Bud Dean)
Derek Cooper (Preppy Stud/Big Bud Dean) was last seen in How Do You Like Me Now Productions’ The Laramie Project. Derek has performed with various theaters around Maryland including Pumpkin Theatre, Laurel Mill Playhouse, Dundalk Community Theatre, Reisterstown Theatre Project and Fluid Movement. He currently works as the Early Childhood and Performing Arts Specialist at Port Discovery Children’s Museum. Derek sends special thanks to the amazing cast and crew and to his family and friends for their love and support.
Victoria Davidson (Ensemble/Beleaguered Geek)
Victoria Davidson (Ensemble/Beleaguered Geek) is making her debut in in a musical production and is very excited to be involved in such a wonderful show. She thanks her family for always supporting her and helping her manage her disability so she that can engage in activities that she enjoys. Victoria looks forward to being a part of many more productions in the future.
Kristen Demers (Martha Dunstock)
Kristen Demers (Martha Dunstock) is thrilled to be back working with Erase Hate Through Art. Last year she played Janet in The Rocky Horror Show. A recent graduate of Frostburg State University with a degree in theatre, sKristen has worked at several professional theaters including the Dorset Theatre Festival and Bucks County Playhouse as the Assistant Company Manager and as an actress. Bryce Kylie Gudelsky (Heather Chandler)
Bryce Kylie Gudelsky (Heather Chandler) is very excited to be a part of this production and ready to wear the red scrunchie with pride! Her most recent performances include Casey in First Date the Musical!, Fastrada in Pippin, and Yonah in Children of Eden. Bryce is an experienced choreographer who has served as dance director for Churchill High School’s concert series Blast. Bryce thanks her parents, family, and friends for their constant support and love, and Kevin Kuchar and Dr. Nakia Verner for their never-ending guidance in acting and singing. Let’s make this world beautiful!
Jim Gross (Ram's Dad, Coach)
Jim Gross (Ram’s Dad/Coach) is, like totally psyched to join EHTA for the first time. Getting to be in a show based on one of his favorite movies is rad as well. Working with this totally tubular cast and crew has been absolutely very. Jim was seen recently as Horton in Seussical the Musical at The Heritage Players, Galahad et al. in Spamalot at Silhouette Stages and Actor 4 in Das Barbecü at The Audrey Herman Spotlighters Theater. He sends special thanks to Renee and Alexandra for all the love and support.
Zach Husak (Ram Sweeney)
Zach Husak (Ram Sweeney) is incredibly excited to be making his Maryland theatre debut in Heathers: The Musical! A Michigan native, Zach recently moved to Maryland to pursue a Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis at UMBC. Past theatre credits include Hairspray (Corny Collins), Sister Act (Joey), and Once Upon A Mattress (Jester). Zach sends all his love to his Mom and Dad for supporting his passion for theatre and to the entire cast of Heathers for making his first theatre experience in Maryland amazing.
Ed Higgins (Kurt's Dad)
Ed Higgins (Kurt's Dad) is vice president of HDYLMN and directed Diana Son’s Stop Kiss (2015) the Howard County Arts Center and Richard O’Brien’s Rocky Horror Show (2016) at the Chesapeake Arts Center. Attacking bullying in schools, he wrote “Mirror of Meetse” (“esteem” spelled backwards) for a summer drama camp that Erase Hate Through Art held for 5–12-year-olds at the Columbia Art Center in 2016.
Christopher Lange (Officer Milner, Hipster Dork)
Christopher Lange (Officer Milner/Hipster Dork) is thrilled to be part of such a great show. A 2016 graduate of Catawba College, he holds a B.A. in Musical Theatre and has worked at the Pioneer Playhouse in Danville, Kentucky. Some of his past credits include Lefou in Beauty and the Beast, Phillip Bax in The Mystery of Edwin Drood, and the ensemble in Evita. Christopher has performed in various choirs and sang backup for Kristin Chenoweth. He thanks Ed and Grant for this wonderful opportunity and for awesome cast mates.
Michael Leard (Michael Leard)
Michael Leard (Kurt Kelly) is 18 years old and excited to perform his dream role in his favorite musical. This is Michael’s debut outside of high School, where he was last seen as a Wickersham Brother in Seussical the Musical. Michael sends a special shout-out to Linda, Zach, Bryce, and Matty for making the show such a great memory. And to the audience to sit back, relax, and don’t be so blue!
Sarah Mackin (Ensemble)
Sarah Mackin (Ensemble) is thrilled to be joining the How Do You Like Me Now Productions family in Heathers The Musical, one of her all time favorites. She made her stage debut earlier this summer as a Lost Boy in Peter Pan (Charm City Players) and has worked as a scenic artist and stage crew for CCP in the past. Sarah is a high school freshman studying voice and music and would like to thank her mom and grandma for all of their love and encouragement.
Luis “Matty” Montes (J.D. Dean)
Luis “Matty” Montes (J.D. Dean) is honored to play the role of JD. His most notable roles in the last year have been Adam in Children of Eden at Arena Stage, Cain/Japheth in the same show at Olney Theater, and Danny Zuko at the Gaithersburg Arts Barn. He is also immensely thankful to Linda and Michael for their company throughout the show and to Joanie for making him who he is today. He hopes everyone has some Big Fun during the show!
Grnt Myers (Veronica's Dad)
Grant Myers (Veronica’s Dad/Producer), is president of How Do You Like Me Now Productions and pleased to be making his HDYLMN stage debut. After a number of years’ absence appearing onstage, Grant is finding acting to be a fun departure from his normal backstage work. He appeared onstage last in Prelude To A Kiss at Howard Community College and directed HDLYMN’s groundbreaking production, Moisés Kaufman’s The Laramie Project (2014), at the Howard County Arts Center.
Ellie Parks (Heather McNamara)
Ellie Parks (Heather Mcnamara), a sophomore at Marriotts Ridge High School, is so excited to be in her dream show. She thanks Ed and Grant for the opportunity to appear in her first show with Erase Hate Through Art; her family and friends for their support; and the fabulous cast and crew for the pleasure of working with them. Linda Roby (Linda Roby (Ensemble,Veronica Understudy)
Linda Roby (Ensemble/Veronica Understudy) is currently enrolled at Howard Community College majoring in theatre. She sends a huge thanks to Ross Rawlings, Joanne Mead, and her mom and dad for their never-ending support. And a big shout-out to Matty and Michael as well for the rides and amazing company, she couldn’t have asked for better friends. Samantha Sheldon (Young Republicanette)
Samantha Sheldon (Young Republicanette) is thrilled to be in her first production with Erase Hate Through Art. Some previous roles include Snow White in Snow White, Mary Lennox in The Secret Garden, and Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie Jr. She thanks her friends and family for their continuous love and support.
Lovitha Shelton (Veronica’s Mom)
Lovitha Shelton (Veronica’s Mom) has been singing since the age of two and toured with the Morgan State College Choir to Helsinki, Finland; Denmark, Copenhagen; Leningrad (St. Petersburg), Russia and, London. Lovitha has performed in many operas, operettas and musicals at Morgan — where she majored in Music Education — and has danced on the stage of the New York Kennedy Center. She sings at church services and other Christian activities as a leader of praise and worship.
Olivia Winter (Veronica)
Olivia Winter (Veronica) is ecstatic to be playing one of her dream roles in her debut production with Erase Hate Through Art! She was recently in as Miss Scarlet in Clue the Musical. Favorite roles include Paulette in Legally Blonde, Jr.; Horton in Seussical, Jr.; Ursula in Bye Bye Birdie; Consuelo in West Side Story and Shelby in Steel Magnolias. Olivia thanks the entire crew for allowing her to work with some amazing people, and her friends and family for their immense support.
Emily Wesselhoff (Heather Duke)
Emily Wesselhoff (Heather Duke) is excited to be a part of Erase Hate Through Art’s Heathers. Favorite past credits include Once on this Island, Spelling Bee, Hairspray, and Urinetown.
