Breaking the Code Cast

Joe Arnett (Christopher, Ron Miller, Nikkos)
Joe Arnett (Christopher, Ron Miller, Nikkos) is appearing onstage for the first time for HDYLMN. Joe performed in and worked on numerous projects in the past including the Fringe Festival in Scotland and at film studios in Utah and Florida. And though he says he does not consider himself a typical thespian, he is very happy to be acting again. Most recently, Joe’s been balancing his time training for American Ninja Warrior and pursuing a stunt choreography career. He enjoys rock climbing, playing Frisbee, stunt choreography, cooking and hanging out with his best friend – his cat, Reesie.
Michael Crook (Mick Ross)
Michael Crook (Mick Ross) is proud to be making his HDYLMN Productions debut. His prior credits include Inspector Kemp in Young Frankenstein (Silhouette Stages) and Chuck in She Kills Monsters (Spotlighters). He would like to thank Patti Restivo, as well as the cast and crew of Breaking the Code for including him in this exciting production. He planned to use his remaining space to make a math joke, but calculus jokes are derivative, trigonometry jokes are too graphic, and algebra jokes are all formulaic, Figuring out a funny math joke has therefore been left as an exercise for the reader.
Todd Cunningham (Dillwyn Knox)
Todd Cunningham (Dillwyn Knox) has been doing theater for over 40 years. Some of his favorite roles are Renfield in Dracula, Lenny in Rumors and Gerald Bolingbrooke in Me and My Girl. He would like to thank his wife, Jean, for suggesting he audition for “Breaking The Code.” Also, he would like to thank his wife and daughter, Casi, for their love and support.
Ed Higgins (Alan Turing)
Ed Higgins (Alan Turing) is vice president of HDYLMN and directed Diana Son’s Stop Kiss (2015) at the Howard County Arts Center and Richard O’Brien’s Rocky Horror Show (2016) at the Chesapeake Arts Center in the theater’s infancy, and most recently, Heathers at the Chesapeake Arts Center. Attacking bullying in schools, he wrote “Mirror of Meetse” (“esteem” spelled backwards) for a summer drama camp that Erase Hate Through Art — an HDYLMN social campaign — designed for 5–12-year-olds at the Columbia Art Center. Ed has appeared onstage in numerous stage productions in the area.
Kristin Miller (Pat Green)
Kristin Miller (Pat Green) is very excited to be performing in her first show at HDYLMN Productions! Some of her most recent roles include Ado Annie in Oklahoma (Artistic Synergy of Baltimore), Elaine in Arsenic and Old Lace (Cockpit in Court) and Kay in Towards Zero (Cockpit). Some other favorite roles include Little Sally in Urinetown, Catherine in The Foreigner, Janet in The Rocky Horror Show and Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors. She would like to thank HDYLMN for including her in this production of Breaking the Code.
Jen Sizer (John Smith)
Jen Sizer (John Smith) is making her HDYLMN debut. Jen holds a BA in Theatre from Radford University where she performed in and directed many shows, including Angels in America: Part 1. She also performed in multiple community theaters in Northern Virginia before discovering Gender Performance with the DC King Drag Troupe. After a 10-year hiatus, Jen appeared onstage at Laurel Mill Playhouse in Charlotte’s Web as Templeton and in Pride and Prejudice as Mr. Collins. She portrayed Louis Scunge in the 2017 Charm City Fringe Festival Audience Choice Award-winning production, Smack ‘em in the Snout and directed Arsenic and Old Lace and To Kill a Mockingbird at LMP, where she will direct One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest this fall. She sends much love to everyone involved in this show, Patti for thinking of her, and her mom for driving her to all those rehearsals as a kid.
Suzanne Young (Sara Turing)
Suzanne Young (Sara Turing) is happy to perform in her second production with HDYLMN. Recent roles include Lillian Troy in I Hate Hamlet, Countess deLage in The Women and Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, all at Spotlighter’s. Favorite roles include Madame Armfeldt in A Little Night Music, Fraulein Schneider in Cabaret, Diana in California Suite and Yenta in Fiddler on the Roof. When not treading the boards, Suzanne is a tour guide for Greenspring Tours, Inc. She loves to brag about the history of her hometown, Baltimore, MD. Suzanne wishes to thank Patti and Grant for the opportunity to play this intriguing character.
