Bel Canto is Highlands' Women's Choir and is an audition-only choir open to students in grades 9-12. Students in Bel Canto study more difficult
choral literature in a variety styles as well as learn to become confident sight-singers. Students in this choir will represent the choir program and school by performing in the community at various events and for the school. Bel Canto consistently receives Superior rankings at KMEA Adjudicated Events. This choir meets daily during 2nd Period.

Chamber Choir is Highlands' premier mixed choir. This choir is audition-only and is open to students in grade 9-12. Students in the choir study
difficult choral literature of varying styles and learn to sightread at an advanced level. Students in this choir will represent the choir
program and Highlands High School in and around the community as well as sing for school and district-wide events. Chamber Choir consistently
receives Superior rankings at KMEA Adjudicated Events. This choir meets during 5th Period.

Highlandaires Chorale is a mixed choir that is open to all students 9-12. Typically our largest choir, this choir performs standard choral repertoire of varying styles, and learns the foundations of reading music and sightreading at a moderate level. The students in this choir perform for school events, KMEA Performance Assessments and concerts. This choir meets daily during 6th Period.
