Getting to Know... Once Upon A Mattress CAST & CREW

This is Hunter’s 10th show, she has been singing since before she could talk. She has a deep love for music and acting, and even got into a New York Broadway Jr show two years ago. She is very excited to perform tonight, and wants to thank her directors, family and friends for their help and for keeping her motivated.

Kendall is very excited to play Princess Winnifred in “Once Upon A Mattress.” This is her 7th Show at GMS, but she has also done plays at Streetcar and GMS Summer Theatre Program. She would love to thank her friends, her family, and the director for all the support they have given her.

Harry is very excited to play the challenging role of the King; who doesn't speak in the play and just mimes his lines! He would like to thank his parents; brother Oliver and Mr. Demko for all their help.

Taryn is elated to play the talkative Queen in “Once Upon A Mattress.” This is her 6th show at GMS and she has done others at One Light Theatre. Taryn has loved theater and singing since she was a little girl. Taryn is honored to participate and she thanks all her family members, cast and crew and the director for making all this possible.

My name is Norah Lee, I am in the 7th grade. I just turned 13 and I am beyond excited to play the queen in “Once Upon a Mattress.” Fun fact, I am scared of bird devils (Chickens).

I'm Oliver Green. I'm 12 and I'm in the 7th grade. I've been in “High School Musical,” “Anything Goes,” “Dig It,” “Frozen,” and “Little Mermaid.” I have 3 brothers and no sisters. I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah.

This is Julie’s second play at GMS. Last year, she was Arista (Mersister) in the “Little Mermaid.” She would like to thank her parents for letting her do theatre.

Kali Griffin plays Rowena in the GMS production of “Once Upon A Mattress.” This is her third play at GMS, but is her sixth play all together. She would like to thank her parents, her singing coach, and the teachers at Gilford for helping her get so far.

Aubrie Rubbo is very excited to play as The Minstrel in “Once Upon A Mattress.” She has also performed in “Anything Goes,” “Frozen,” and “The Little Mermaid.”

Charli will be playing the Jester in “Once Upon a Mattress.” I am very excited to be doing this play. I have been in other plays here at GMS and I hope everyone enjoys the show!

Brielle is very happy that she got to play Prince Dauntless in "Once Upon A Mattress." This is her 4th performance at GMS. She would like to thank her parents, castmates, and director for making this a wonderful experience.

Hello, my name is Carlee Lyons and I am in six grade. I am excited to be playing the role of Princess #12 in the GMS play, “Once Upon A Mattress.” I have done 4 GMS plays so far.

Rainey is happy to be able to be in this production. She is so grateful for Mr. Demko for making this production happen. She would also like to thank her parents for helping her during these covid times. She has done 2 other shows at GMS and has also done 3 shows with The Streetcar Company.

Emily is in 6th grade and has been in 3 Gilford productions, and 1 with One Light . She wants to thank all of the people who have helped her to get where she is today.

Grace Southworth is in 6th grade. She lives with her parents, younger brother, cats, and dog. She dances at The Studio At Meredith Bay. Grace has performed in a variety of shows with the Winnipesaukee Playhouse, Streetcar Company, and GMS summer theatre. Some of these shows include, “The Boy Who Drew Cats,” “Mary Poppins,” “Narnia,” “Peter Pan,” “Aida,” and “Urinetown.” Grace enjoys aerial yoga, dance, field hockey, and lacrosse when she is not acting. She is excited to be performing in “Once Upon A Mattress,” and she hopes you enjoy!

Alyssa is very excited to play Lady Lucille in “Once Upon A Mattress.” This is her 4th show at GMS and she has also done shows with The Streetcar Company. She would like to thank her parents and the director for all their help.

I play 4 different instruments (drums, piano, bass and the flute), I have 7 pets (4 dogs and 3 cats), my favorite subject is math, and I love art and painting. I love acting and being in plays. I also love dancing (ballet and lyrical the most). I have been doing plays for about 4-5 years now and I have been dancing at Stages for 5 years.

I’m Connor Brough and I am in 7th grade and I’m the wizard in “Once Upon A Mattress.” I started theatre 2 years ago and I have been doing it ever since. For being in middle school my voice is very deep and I tend to have to sing an octave lower than the actual song. I’m a comedic kid who makes jokes whenever I can and I have a tendency to talk a lot. I enjoyed this show. It’s definitely in my top 3 for the shows I have done at Gilford.

Audrey is in her second year of theater at Gilford Middle School. Last year, she performed in "The Little Mermaid, Jr." as the mersister Arista. Audrey looks forward to her performance this year as "Knight #2" and dreams of the day she can grace the stage maskless once more.

Aubrey is happy to be a Lady In Waiting in this awesome play! She was in the “Little Mermaid” last year and likes to do plays as a hobby. She would like to thank her family and Director for all their help and support.

Addyson is very happy to be playing as part of the ensemble. She’s so happy that despite the challenges this year that theatre was still able to happen. This will be her 3rd performance at GMS. She’s looking forward to many more.

Sophie has been in all of the shows at GMS ever since she was in 5th grade. She recently switched over to tech to give it a shot and has been loving it! This is her second time doing tech for the shows here at GMS. She is also very musical. She plays piano, drums and occasionally guitar and ukulele. She also loves singing. She is very excited to be doing tech for “Once Upon a Mattress.”

Owen is in 8th grade and this is his 3rd year of tech crew. When not working on the set, Owen can be found snowboarding in the winter and downhill mountain biking the rest of the year with friends and family.

Cam Bourgeois is a 7th grader at GMS. He started helping with tech in elementary school at Showcase and has participated in tech with GMS ever since. Cam is interested in all aspects of tech, from lighting and sound, to music and construction. Cam’s hobbies include fishing, geocaching, skateboarding and skiing.

Andrew is an 8th grader. This is his second time doing tech. He likes skateboarding and technology.

Kyle enjoys skiing at gunstock, eating, ice fishing, lighting bonfires, and fixing up his house.

Kaitlyn is an 8th grader at GMS and this is the 5th show she has done for tech. What she likes most about tech is building the sets, making props, and getting to know the performers. Other things I like to do is bake, sew, play lacrosse, and snowboard.

Ali is in 6th grade and this is her 4th time being in tech. She loves building the sets and seeing how they come together. When she is not in tech she likes to cuddle with her cat named Doogie, eat cheeseburgers, Watch TV, and play Roblox. She hopes you enjoy the play!
