About You're Virtually Driving Me Crazy

"You're Virtually Driving Me Crazy," is a hilarious collection of four ten minute comedies which all take place in a driver's education setting. Each scene has independent characters and plot. There's something for everyone which makes this play perfect for audiences of all ages. Our students have worked hard and pushed themselves to learn a completely new way of doing things. Instead of traditional blocking, actors in a virtual setting need to think about which off camera angle to look at so that it appears that they are in the same room (or in this case - car). We've had interesting side projects where students needed to learn how to "pass" a prop between screens. And we even got some parents involved in an impromptu driving lesson so our actors could effectively pantomime driving in the car.

We may not have a lot of our traditional end of the year events, but we've made something special for you, your friends and your families to share at the end of this very special shared experience that is positive and uplifting. Theater hasn't gone anywhere. In fact, it's thriving at Bromley East Charter School. We are so happy that you're here!

Bromley East Charter School

Bromley East Charter school has a long history of valuing the performing arts and we are so proud to continue this long standing tradition of producing youth theater for our K-8 charter school. At our school, you will find student led productions each Spring season. That means that students join us in the creative process both on and off the stage. As a result, students take great pride and ownership in their shows.

We hope to use what we've loved about our past and what we've learned through the pandemic to provide accessible theater to both in person and virtual audiences in the coming year. Thank you to our creative team, Bromley parents, Administration, Pioneer Drama Service, On The Stage, and our generous PTO who always put children and their passion for arts education first.
