Illuminate: A Virtual Musical Theatre Revue Cast

Edie House (4th Grade)
Edie is a fourth grader here at BCE. She is nine years old and is thrilled to be a part of Illuminate. Edie was a member of the ensemble in BCE’s production of The Lion King. She has grown up watching her brother Davis perform in local theater and is beyond excited for her turn. In addition to acting; Edie enjoys soccer and swim. Edie is thankful for the strong arts team of teachers at BCE.
Hadley Barger (5th Grade)
Hadley is ten years old and in fifth grade. She is very excited to be in her first play. She would like to thank her parents and the rest of her family for being very supportive.
Makiyah Hill (4th Grade)
Makiyah is a nine year old, fourth grader who loves dancing, performing, gymnastics, and playing the piano.  She was recently cast as Rafiki in The Lion King Jr., even though we were unable to have the production. She has really enjoyed this experience.  She would like to thank her family and teachers for their support with Illuminate.
Emmett Combs (4th Grade)
Emmett is a fourth grader, and he is excited to be apart of his second school production. He was also cast as Ed in last years production of The Lion King. He is use to being in the spotlight by competing in soccer and basketball. He would like to thank his mom, dad, and family for their continued support, and everyone who has helped with Illuminate!
Bryce Calico (4th Grade)
Bryce Calico is a fourth grader who really enjoys performing! Whether on stage or on the baseball diamond, Bryce loves to entertain an audience. He was cast as Timon in the Lion King, Jr. and is looking forward to a new role in Illuminate! He would like to thank his Mom, because she is awesome, and his family for supporting him in all things! Richard Bello (4th Grade)
Richard is a 4th grader at BCE and is excited to take part in his second school play. Richard enjoys music and dance and is very happy to join his twin brother John in Illuminate. Richard would like to thank his family and the amazing creative arts team for all of their support!
Haruki Hasegawa (5th Grade)
Haruki is a 5th Grader; He is excited to be entering his second musical performance. He has been acting for Pumbaa in the first musical the Lion King at BCE. He likes to sing and act. He would like to thank his mom and dad for support and who had helped with Illuminate. Enjoy.
Julie Howell (4th Grade)
Julie Howell is a fourth grader and recent arrival at Brenda Cowan from Clays Mill Elementary. This is her first theater recital, and she is very excited! She has taken both dancing and guitar lessons and enjoys the arts. She looks forward to being part of this student production.
Nathan Joyce (4th Grade)
Nathan is a fourth grader and thoroughly enjoyed participating in last year's BCE production of the Lion King where he was cast as Banzai. He has been a fan of drama since his first class and can't wait to perform in Illuminate. He would like to thank his family for their support and the BCE Creative Arts teachers for making this virtual musical happen!
Brielle Franklin (4th Grade)
Brielle is a fourth grader, and she is so glad to be in her first ever musical. She has always loved to dance, sing and perform gymnastics. Brielle is thankful for her parents for signing her up and for their support. She loved performing dance recitals with her dance team for the past 2 years.
Alex Schroederstein (5th Grade)
Alex is 11 years old. Alex is in 5th grade.This is Alex's first play. The best thing about this production is getting to see all the other cast members and all the people who made this happen. Alex would like to thank his family for their support. He would like to say thank you for everybody who has helped with Illuminate and hope you enjoy and have fun!
Bradley Doane (4th Grade)
Bradley is 9 years old and in the fourth grade. Illuminate is the first musical he has had the opportunity to perform in. He is very excited to be working with the Illuminate cast and production crew. He would like to thank his mom, dad, sister, and teachers for their help and support. He hopes you enjoy the show!
Anika Patel (3rd Grade)
Anika is a third grader and she is thrilled to be casted in Illuminate. Her first musical was "Flakes" where enjoyed playing a snowflake. She loves to play music on her violin and enjoys singing as well as dancing. She is very creative and loves to perform on stage. She would like to thank her family and teachers for all of their support. Anika cannot wait to be a part of Illuminate !
Lyllian Calico (3rd Grade)
Lyllian Calico is very excited to perform in her first musical! She has many years of stage experience as a ballet dancer with Bluegrass Youth Ballet and is very comfortable dancing on stage. She has performed in eight shows with her ballet company, and taking a role in a musical will be a new adventure for her. She would like to thank all her dance teachers for helping her perform at her best! She would also like to thank her mom, dad, and brothers JJ and Bryce for encouraging her to audition! Enjoy the show!
Lylah Trimble (3rd Grade)
Lylah is a 3rd grader at BCE, and she is so excited to be in her second musical production. Lylah performed in the production of School House Rock with Leed's Art Center last year and since then has been dying to get back on stage. Outside of singing, dancing and performing Lylah enjoys horseback riding, soccer and playing with her friends and family. She would like to thank her friends and family for always pushing her to do her best and supporting her. Have a great time!!
Emma Stafford (4th Grade)
Emma is a fourth grader at Brenda Cowan . She discovered a new talent a couple of months ago. It’s called acting! She loved working on last year’s school play even though it was canceled. Acting is one of her favorite things at school and she worked hard on the audition for Illuminate. Emma also loves to play softball, all kinds of animals and her favorite fruit is mango. She cannot wait for you to see the Illuminate production this Fall.
Asha Oldham (4th Grade)
Asha is in the fourth grade and thrilled to be performing in her first production with BCE. As much as she loves academics, drama is truly her passion. Asha has performed in various productions with Stage Right Acting in the past and is excited to return to the stage. When she is not tied to a schedule Asha loves swimming, playing the piano, riding her bike, reading a good book, and just being a fun loving 9 year old girl!
Kadyn Edwards (3rd Grade)
Kadyn is 8 years old, in the third grade, and is elated to be a part of Illuminate. She has always had a love for singing, dancing, and acting. Her first acting appearance was in 2016 with Lexington Children's Theatre and most recently she appeared in Frozen the musical with Innovation Arts Academy. She sang her fist solo at the age of 3 at Fisher Baptist Church Bracktown. She would like to thank her parents, sister, brother, grandparents, and everyone who has helped with the Illuminate for their support.
Ivanna Malave Carreno (4th Grade)
Ivana Malave Carreño is 9 years old, studying 4th grade, she recently participated in the 3rd grade musical, "Rats" as Narrator. For her, the best thing about participating in this production is to show her acting skills, and her development performing monologues and getting involved with the character, she thanks her teachers, brother, her parents and her friend Mia for the support they have always given her. And thank you all the audience for taking your time to support such a beautiful project where she will be able to demonstrate her qualities in acting. Thank you
Olive Spry (3rd Grade)
This is Olive’s second appearance in a musical, having performed in Brenda Cowan Elementary School’s performance of Flakes. She is a third grader with experience in music, dance and drama. She would like to thank her mom and dad, sister, Mimi and Boba for their support in her performance of her role in Illuminate!
John Bello (4th Grade)
John Bello is a 4th grader at BCE and is very excited to be in his first production.John loves to sing and dance and is looking forward to this experience with his twin brother Richard. John would like to thank his family and the amazing creative arts team at BCE for all of their support!
