Capturing Light is a presentation of Dance Repertory films created as collaborations between Dance Department faculty and students in the BFA program.

Included in the evening is the debut performance of the brand new Temple Dance Ensemble.

The Temple Dance Ensemble (TDE) is Temple Dance Department’s resident performance company, led by department faculty on a rotating basis. TDE offers a fully-produced performance program featuring original choreography by faculty, guest artists and ensemble members. The dancers display their artistry through an annual schedule of diverse performances that reflects the rich curriculum offered through the Dance Department. The overall mission of TDE is to connect with the university and local communities through the art of dance.

The Dance Department at Temple University is committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship and artistic practice. Understanding that we experience life through our bodies, our programs encourage students to consider how minds in motion contribute to knowledge, transform the social world, and facilitate community engagement. A founding member of the National Association of Schools of Dance, Boyer's Dance Department has provided a multi-layered creative, reflective, and inclusive dance learning environment for over fifty years. We continue to honor traditions while exploring new ways of knowing dance.
