Andrew Packard (Vanya)
ANDREW PACKARD (Vanya) is a Toledo-based actor and writer. Recent stage roles include Carlino in Wait Until Dark, Jimmy in Perfect Arrangement, most of the characters in Bullshot Crummond, Leslie in Seascape, and Robert in Hidden in this Picture. Andrew can be seen in the feature films The Amorette Hotel, The Curse of Bryerstone and Eviscerate Me! as well as the webseries The Next Best Thing. Check out his YouTube channel for original sketch comedy and short films.
Story Moosa (Sonia)
STORY MOOSA (Sonia) is delighted to join the Black Swamp Players for this production. Story moved to Bowling Green in 2021 to pursue a doctoral degree in Theatre Studies at BGSU after receiving her Master of Fine Arts in Acting from Long Island University Post in 2020. At BGSU, Story directed Sophocles’ Electra (2023), and served as assistant director for She Kills Monsters (2022) and POTUS (2023). Story, like Sonia, clings to random acts of kindness and loves kittens, especially her cat, Marnie Chicken Louise (who cannot read or see live theatre).
Mackenzie Baumhower (Ella)
MACKENZIE BAUMHOWER (Ella) graduated from BGSU in 2017 majoring in theatre with a specialization in acting/directing and received a bachelor’s degree in Arts in Communication. She was in, A Perfect Wedding (2015), Middletown (2016), and Twelfth Night (2017) while at her time in BGSU. She has also done Woman in Black (2017) and Crumbs From The Table of Joy (2018) with Studio A at the Valentine Theatre. She’s very excited to have her debut at the Black Swamp Players be an incredible show. Thank you to her family and friends for always supporting her and to Sara Chambers for always believing in her.
Libby Allen Dachik (Babs)
LIBBY DACHIK (Babs) is delighted to perform again with the Black Swamp Players. She has also performed locally with Broken Spectacle Productions and at BGSU. Libby received training at the William Esper Studio and with Paul Austin at the Image Theatre and Studio in NYC.
Jim Dachik (The Professor)
JIM DACHIK (The Professor) received his training/degree in acting from Syracuse University way back when in 1976. He has been on the staff of the Department of Theatre and Film at BGSU for the past 26 years, serving first as the Scene Shop Supervisor/Technical Director, and then Business Operations Manager, and currently the Theatre Operations Coordinator in the Wolfe Center for the Arts. During that time he has also served as a scenic designer and lighting designer, as well as an actor. His acting credits while working for the department have been the Dad in You Got Older; Joe Keller in All My Sons, with Libby playing his wife. For Broken Spectacle Productions he played the Elder in The Christians, with Libby playing the Pastor's wife. Long ago Jim played multiple characters in the BSP production of The Good Doctor, with Libby playing the narrator when BSP was operating out of the Woodland Mall.
Kevin Caudill (Dr. Aster)
KEVIN CAUDILL (Dr. Aster) is a young man of 39 who has been out of the acting scene for 10 years and now finally has the chance to step back into the stage lights. Working with the cast and crew of Life Sucks has been a wonderful experience, and I could not have asked for a better group to work with and knock the dust off.
Diana DePasquale (Pickles)
DIANA DEPASQUALE (Pickles) is performing in her first Black Swamp Players production. and she is extremely grateful for the opportunity to bring Pickles to the stage. Diana is especially thankful to the production’s director, Sara Chambers, for her support and generosity. Diana would like to thank her fantastic spouse James, and her fantastic dog, Reuben, and her friends for all the joy they bring into her life.
