Proof Cast

Mai-Vi Oberski (CATHERINE)
Mai-Vi is a senior appearing in her 6th Blackfriars Production. Previous credits include The Drowsy Chaperone, The Visions of Simone Machard, Mame, Murder on the Nile, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She attended St. Mark School where she appeared in Alice in Wonderland, Joseph the Dreamer, Emperor’s New Clothes, and Right Before Your Eyes. Mai-Vi is a member of the BL Ambassadors, NEHS, NLHS, Rho Kappa, The Asian American Club, the Theatre Arts Club, and the BL Choir. She is also a member of the House Leadership Team and was named to the All Region Treble Choir. “I just want to thank my amazing cast for making tis show such a memorable experience. Love y’all. Also thank you to Mr. Clark for having to deal with my repeated lateness to rehearsal.”
Davis Chen (HAL)
Davis is a senior who attended St. John’s Episcopal School. His previous Blackfriars credits include Robert Martin in The Drowsy Chaperone and Lindsay Woolsey in Mame. He has also appeared as Sonny Malone in Xanadu and as Mufasa in Lion King Jr. DAvis is a member of BL Ambassadors, National Honor Society, Asian American CLub and the Siena House Council. He is an AP Scholar and Finalist for the Felix Maceda Award, and earned first place in the BL Science Fair and a Gold Medal in the Naqtional Spanish Exam. DAvis was also named Best Chorus Singer for Mame. “I would like to thank my familiy for always being my biggest fans and sharpest critics. I would also like to thank every math teacher I’ve had for inspiring my performance in this show.”
Ainsley Knott (CLAIRE)
Ainsley is a sophomore cheerleader, appearing in her second Blackfriars production; she was a member of last year’s one-act play, The Robe. She attended Wallace Elementary and Clark Middle School before coming to BL, and she has appeared as Mary in an Asylum Production and was the main villain in a middle school show. Ainsley has earned accolades as Best Actress, Best Stage Manager, and Hardest Working Actress and she so happy for this show to begin!
Jeff Truitt (ROBERT)
Jeff is a senior from St. Patrick Catholic School, and has appeared as Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof, Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Eisenring in The Arsonists, and Marcellus in The Robe. He is a member of Mock Trial and the Boy Scouts, and was named Best Supporting Actor by the Blackfriars Guild for his roles as Puck and Eisenring. “Thank you to my wonderful family for enabling me. Wait no, not enabling, that’s an AA thing. I mean supporting me. Also Duke and Hailey, you’re great. Thank you to “bingus” as well for a great Summer.”
Anna Riley (CLAIRE)
Anna is a senior appearing in her fourth Blackfriars production. Her previous credits include THE DROWSY CHAPERONE, FOOTLOOSE and MAME as well as productions at St. Joseph School in Arlington. Anna is a BL Ambassador, a member of NEHS, and the co-captain of her Ricci House Mentor Group. “Big love to my family, the cast and crew, and all my people. To God be the glory.”
Arabella LaFond (CLAIRE / CATHERINE)
Sophomore Arabella LaFond tackles both female roles in this production of Proof. Her previous Blackfriars credits include The Visions of Simone Machard and The Drowsey Chaperone. Arabella attended St. Patrick School where she was cast in Mary Poppins Jr. She is a member of the Bishop Lynch Choir and is a Mentor Group Chaplain. “Thank you Mr. Clark for being an awesome director, as well as Ms. May for everything she does for us! I would also like to thank Anna for all the hugs!"
Grace Ford (CATHERINE)
Senior Grace Ford is appearing in her third Blackfriars production. She was cast as a Fairy in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and was a member of the chorus in Mame. Grace attended Mary Immaculate School and is currently a member of Choir and Color Guard, and is the Chaplain for her Lima House Mentor Group. She is an honor roll student and a member of the Choir Leadership Council and was named to the TPSMEA All-Region Choir. “Thank you so much for supporting the play! I love this show and the cast so much. Everyone is so incredibly talented! I am grateful for the opportunity to work with everyone and be in this show. Thank you!”
