Little Women is the 10th musical production Mrs. Macklin has directed here at Bellmont. When still performing, Mrs. Macklin performed in over 30 productions here at Bellmont, in college, and on the Fort Wayne stages where she won 2 Anthony Awards. During the summers in college, she performed at Six Flags Great America north of Chicago. Mrs. Macklin has recently performed a couple of shows with the Wells County Creative Arts Council, "Creative Arts Sing" and "White Christmas" where she was a featured singer and dancer. While she still gets nervous for the kids, she loves opening night and hearing the audience reacting to the action on the stage. Mrs. Macklin received a teacher renewal grant through the Lilly Endowment last summer and will continue traveling this coming summer to see Broadway/Professional Theater shows and watching the Chicago Cubs baseball. When not at school, she enjoys being outside on her patio or on the beach reading and being with friends or her husband Steve...Mr. Macklin to the students! (and of course Walter the cat and new kitten Myrtle :)

Mr. Ehlerding is very excited to be a part of the Bellmont Music Department, assisting Mrs. Macklin! This is Mr. Ehlerding's first full year at Bellmont Elementary teaching 3rd grade and assisting with the Bellmont Brave Generation Show Choir and Music Department. He is a 2008 Bellmont graduate who participated all 4 years in the Show Choir, Musicals and Sparkle productions. Although he did not pursue performing past high school, he has always had a passion for singing and choreography. He has continued to be a member of his local church choir since high school and has sung for many friends and family's weddings. It is his hope to get back on the stage himself this fall in a production in Fort Wayne! When he is not at the school...he is busy taking care of a small herd of dairy goats. Mr. Ehlerding is looking forward to seeing the kids light up the stage and entertain the audience with this production of Little Women. They have been working so hard and he has no doubt they will put on a spectacular show!
