David Lee
David Lee has served as the Artistic Director at Avenue Arts Marketplace and Theatre since the conception of the theatre company in 2017. He has had the pleasure of working with a diverse group of actors including youngsters as the Director of the young actors workshop each fall and spring. Some of his favorite shows with the the Junior class are “Annie JR”, “Willy Wonka JR”and “Shrek JR”. David also understands the importance in the development of new works and has formed a company of actors called “Underground” that preforms staged readings of new works. David is a Canton, Ohio native and attended Malone University where he was trained in the Michael Chekhov Technique of acting and revived and B.A. in Communication, Visual and Preforming Arts.

Emily HIsey
Emily Hisey has loved theatre since she was chosen to play the coveted role of Twinkle the Christmas Angel at age nine - she’s been escaping reality ever since. Past stage credits include Jane Eyre, Dancing at Lughnasa, Doubt, and A Year With Frog and Toad. Emily is grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with such talented and hardworking artists. “Enjoy the show and thank you for supporting live theatre!”

Cheryl Foutz
Cheryl currently works as a senior analyst at The Timken Company by day and hits the stage at many local theatres by night. She has been seen in 35 productions over the last 15 years at venues such as Avenue Arts, Canal Fulton Players, Carnation City Players, Players Guild Theatre, and more. Some of her favorite productions have been IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU (Aunt Sheila/Mimsy), THE ADDAMS FAMILY (Ancestor), and A CHRISTMAS CAROL (Mrs. Fezziwig/Molly). Cheryl’s favorite aspect of theatre is meeting new people and performing with her daughter and other theatre friends, especially in musicals and dramas.

Manuel Halkias
Manuel holds a Bachelor's in Education from University of Akron and is licensed to teach English, Speech, Theatre, and Journalism. When not on stage, Manuel works as an educator and the director of the speech and debate team at McKinley High School. Previous stage credits include IT"S A WONDERFUL LIFE (Clarence Odbody), SCREWTAPE (Wormwood), THE LARAMIE PROJECT (Various), AGATHA CHRISTIE'S AND THEN THERE WERE NONE (General Mackenzie) and THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW (Narrator). Manuel has done stand up comedy and is a published writer that, in his spare time, has done 26 5K Races after surviving Stage 4 Cancer!. Manuel would like to thank the audiences -- the incredible supporters of theatre in this area and the wonderful actors, directors, and creative individuals who make these shows happen.

Stephen Ostertag
Stephen is 36 years old and holds a BFA in Theatre Design and Technology from Kent State University. Some of his notable performances on stage include productions such as THE LARAMIE PROJECT (Actor #4), OF MICE AND MEN(Lennie), THE WIZARD OF OZ (Lion), A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM (Nick Bottom), MATILDA (Agatha Truchbull), and NEWSIES(Roosevelt/Mr. Jacobi).

Daniel Guyton (Playright)

Daniel Guyton is an award-winning playwright and screenwriter from Atlanta, GA. His stage plays have been produced nearly 500 times around the world, and he has been published in over 40 anthologies and solo publications, including several of the "Best American Short Plays" collections. His play "Three Ladies of Orpington" recently won 7 awards from the Metropolitan Atlanta Theatre Awards. He is a theatre professor at Georgia State University and Georgia Military College, and is a member of the Dramatists Guild and the Writers Guild of America East. In addition, he is Vice Chair of the Fayette County Public Arts Committee, and Chair of the Professional Division of the Georgia Theater Conference. For more info, please visit: www.danguyton.com.
