About Pippin

Broadway’s Pippin marks Revolutionary Youth Theatre’s first major production with an amazing cast of some of Connecticut’s most talented young artists. Complete with amazing magical illusions, colorful costumes and a 12 piece orchestra, this show is a must see for any theater goer!

Heir to the throne, the young prince Pippin is in search of the secret to true happiness and fulfillment. He seeks it in the glories of the battlefield, the temptations of romance and the intrigues of political power. In the end, though, Pippin finds that happiness lies not in extraordinary endeavors, but rather in the unextraordinary moments that happen every day.

Pippin is directed by Emmy Award® Winner and two time Tony® Award Nominee for Excellence in Theatre Education, Mark Mazzarella, artistic Director of Revolutionary Youth Theatre. The choreography was designed by Mark Simpson, owner of Bristol's award-winning studio, Dance Arts Centre and musical direction by Marissa Levy.

Revolutionary Youth Theater

The Revolutionary Youth Theater is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) theater arts organization. Established in 2018 as Connecticut’s youth theatre, our goal is to nurture the talent of young people throughout our state. We aim to inspire and challenge young artists to develop their talents, self-confidence, leadership, teamwork skills, compassion and self-awareness.

We commission new and relevant dramatic plays and musicals as well as reinterpreting classic stories for our time. We are as ambitious as the young people we serve.

The Revolutionary Youth Theater provides a variety of theatrical experiences for young people eight to twenty-two. Students in our program can be involved onstage as actors or behind the scenes as members of the production team. RYT’s expert production staff provides artistic education and direction in a positive, safe and professional theatrical environment.
