Pied Piper's 25th Anniversary Fundraiser!

The Pied Piper Children's Theatre is celebrating its 25th YEAR in the Washington Heights/Inwood community! Throughout those years, including during the Covid-19 pandemic, Pied Piper programming has been a constant in the neighborhood and in many local kids' lives. While we are about exploring the craft of theater and storytelling with kids ages 6-18, something even more magical happens beyond the colorful costumes and glittering stage lights... kids and teens from all cultures and walks of life find a place of belonging and inclusion at Pied Piper, a nurturing place that becomes like a second home to them. Participants cultivate values such as discipline, teamwork, and empathy, they gain confidence and make new friends in a face-to-face social and creative environment. The theatre also gives Northern Manhattan residents of all ages the chance to be audience members to four full-scale theatrical productions per year for a low cost. However, we are struggling to keep this special place open into next year’s season and beyond due to the higher costs for space rental and other programming needs.
