This is Jen's 22nd year as the director of the Victor Valley High School Theatre Department. Her goal has always been to keep theatre alive for the next generation.

Candace Church

Candace is a senior and is a member of Thespian Troupe 2757. She has stage managed Midsummer Jersey, A Night on Broadway and Newsies. She loves her job running the show behind the scenes. She is involved in Cheer, ASB, Link Crew, AVID and the technical theatre program. She would like to dedicate her work on this show to her dad, who always encourages her to make her dreams, reality.

Kayla is in the 11th grade. The areas of technical theatre that she is most interested in are, costuming and lights.

Angelica is a senior at VVHS. She is most interested in set design and public relations.

Andres is in the 11th grade. He is most interested in lighting design. Andres also plays football and soccer and is a member of the PAW club at VVHS.

Leslie is a junior at VVHS. Leslie would love to be box office manager when we go back to doing live shows. She is also enjoys helping her teachers and tutoring her peers.

Betzaida is in the 11th grade. During normal times, she would love to serve on the makeup or set crew. She is involved in many activities at VVHS including,Paw Club, Link Crew, College Classes, Volleyball, Tutoring and community service.

Writing The Day The World Stopped

The Day the World Stopped is an original piece written by the VVHS Theatre Department. We hope to capture this moment in our history for future generations to perform. There will come a time when people will ask, "What was COVID 19" and we hope that this script will help to answer that question. We followed a devising process inspired by the Tectonic Theatre Company to write this script and our content comes from a series of interviews that we began conducting in March of 2020.
