John Leslie (Mr. Laurence)
John first got involved at Holy Name in the Spring of 1982, when he was brought in to play piano for the high school production of "The Sound of Music". That is also when John first met Cindy Bizzarro, who was his piano duet partner, and Nicole Boulanger who played young Brigitta, one of the Von Trapp children. In July 1984 John performed for Booth Productions in their summer community theater production of "Man of LaMancha" as Sancho Panza opposite Richard Monroe as Cervantes. Since then, for Vanilla Box Productions, John was music director for "Forty-Second Street" and was the show pianist for "Cabaret." He also performed his one-man show "Liberace!" for Vanilla Box Productions. He is humbled and grateful to be included in this stellar cast of "Little Women" (where he is thrilled to call Dan Reidy his grandson), and John looks forward to collaborating on several shows with Vanilla Box in 2020. John is also currently the music director for "Annie" at Calliope Productions in Boylston.
Linnea Lyerly (Aunt March)
Linnea is thrilled to be back at Vanilla Box in this production of "Little Women" and is honored to share the stage with this wonderfully talented cast and crew! She was most recently seen on the WCLOC stage in “Chess” and as Diva Raquel DeAngelis in "Living On Love". Keri McCarthy (Marmee March)
Keri is thrilled to be participating in her second production with Vanilla Box! When she’s not rehearsing on stage, Keri enjoys music directing and teaching voice and piano. She’s like to thank Scott, Max and Milo for supporting her and the entire production team for another fun experience!
Katie Moorman (Jo March)
Katie is incredibly excited to be joining Vanilla Box Productions in telling the iconic story of the March sisters! Being able to bring the character of Jo March from the page to the stage is an amazing honor, and working with this cast has been a truly “astonishing” experience. Hailing from Cleveland, Ohio (go Browns!), Katie trained in classical voice and regularly performed with several amazing community theatres while in the Cleveland area. Since moving to Massachusetts for work, she has loved getting to know the community theatre scene that her new home has to offer, last appearing as Babette in “Beauty and the Beast” at Metrowest Family Theater. Favorite roles include the Narrator in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”, Margy in “State Fair”, Meg in “Brigadoon”, and Rapunzel in “Into the Woods”.
Danielle Pratt (Amy March)
Danielle is delighted to be making her debut with Vanilla Box Productions in Little Women. Danielle has spent the past two years studying voice with Jane Shivick. During this time she has also had the opportunity to study theater and dance at the Hanover Conservatory for the Performing Arts. She was most recently recognized as a semi-finalist in CS Music’s annual Vocal Competition and Convention, where she competed in the Musical Theater division. Danielle is grateful to the entire cast and crew for graciously welcoming her into their community. She would also like to thank her family and friends for their encouragement and support.
Daniel Reidy (Laurie Laurence)
Dan is proud to say Little Women is his 5th Vanilla Box production. His previous roles include Ewart Dunlop (The Music Man), Gabey (On the Town), and Jesus (Godspell). He has most recently been seen as Sky in Mamma Mia! (SCT); as well as an ensemble member of Chess (WCLOC), Lt. Joe Cable in South Pacific (JEMS), and Daniel in Once on this Island (Calliope). He is thrilled to share the stage with such a talented cast, including his once voice/piano instructor and longtime friend John Leslie. Dan would like to thank his family, friends, and Oz for their love. He hopes everyone enjoys the show!
Peter Russo (John Brooke)
Peter is appearing in the roles of John Brooke and Braxton Prendergast. His recent roles have included Mayor Shinn in The Music Man (with Vanilla Box Productions) and Nick in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? He is proud to be returning to this stage.
Paul Spanagel (Professor Bhaer)
Paul is excited to make his Vanilla Box debut as Professor Bhaer in this historic year for Little Women. A Greater Worcester native, Paul studied Music and Drama at Vassar College before working his way back to Worcester via a circuitous detour through Philadelphia for grad school and chamber music.
