About It Happens Every Summer

A group of college women are working as guest editors for the June issue of a New York fashion magazine.  Every June, the editor-in-chief of Debutante and her staff welcome the prize winners of the guest editor contest from colleges all over the country.  This year, they find the girls wackier and more wonderful than ever.  They include Jennifer, deeply anxious to prove herself and be retained on the regular staff; a chic girl who finds New York "luxury-ish," the Southern belle, expert at gold-digging; and the "writer" who is determined to have her avant-garde novel, Guts, published.  Truly funny situations sparked by witty lines created by one of Broadway's best comedy writers make this a high and happy evening.

St. Thomas More High School

We were over halfway there!

Cast and crew were set to move rehearsals from the Choir/Drama classroom rehearsal space, and out to Terra Sancta Stage at Seton Gym, when everything was shut down and our lives changed dramatically!  As more details came forward with regard to how we had to handle life in order to stay safe and healthy, we had to cancel our spring production.

It kept nagging at me - the thought of finding a way to bring this show to life, and let our actors show the interesting and vibrant characters they created, to our parents and other audience members who would have attended.  Thanks to this group who has provided a format and a workable way to bring this to life, albeit virtually, we are bringing you this performance.  Thanks a billion to On The Stage and Play It Forward for making this a reality for St. Thomas More Theater!  A special shout-out also goes to Dramatic Publishing for letting us re-submit and and have the rights to perform!!
