She Kills Monsters tells the story of high schooler Agnes Evans as she reels from the tragic death of her younger sister, Tilly. When Agnes stumbles upon Tilly’s Dungeons and Dragons game module, she finds herself catapulted into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world beloved by geeks. Along the way, she learns more about her sister and her friends as she learns to fight and kill monsters.

Shawnee Mission South Theatre is a hands-on theatre program in Overland Park, Kansas. Our students put on multiple productions a year, both musical and plays. They are involved in the entire process from audition to Tech Week to final curtain. Students work on crews in all areas of theatre production such as set, costumes, props, sound, lights, publicity, and finance in our Repertory Theatre programs. Upperclassmen act as student leaders alongside adult mentors who have been working in the industry for decades. This collaboration results in students prepared to continue theatre in college and beyond as well as young adults ready to be contributing members of the world!
